Cayugo Silverspear
Cayugo utters a prayer and his holy symbol shines. A corona of warm light surrounds both him and Ulfgard before quickly fading. Shield other on Ulfgard.
"Stay close, Tik," he commands his bird, hefting his spear as the gnolls close in.

The desert sand burns with the midday heat, the land absorbing
and radiating the sun like a furnace. Broken ruins rise out of the shifting dunes, stone skeletons of man’s attempts to conquer this forsaken place. Paving stones decorated with symbols of the sun appear and vanish underfoot in the ever-swirling grit.
Rising tallest among the crumbling ruins is a true monument to faith and devotion. The six-sided pyramid rises 300 feet into the
shimmering air, steep stone steps marking a path up its stone slopes.
A dark globe sits atop the structure a pinpoint of blight against the sky.
Even from here, the ziggurat looks worn down by the ages, its stones darkened with abuse and neglect. One can only imagine the radiance of the ziggurat in its prime …
You have descended into the ziggurat only be attacked a tribe of gnolls that has taken up residence here.
brvheart
The halls are lit every 30 feet by torches set in sconces. Most rooms
also contain chain-linked chandeliers suspended from the ceiling
holding battered lanterns or torches.
The entire gnoll-infested area reeks of wet animals and pungent
urine. The abundance of fleas and lice are matched only by the piles
of shed hair and carrion. The alabaster walls and ceiling are covered
in soot from years of neglect and burning torches.

"I'll take this lot!" He shouts, then moves towards the gnollss on the "right" side of the map. He beats his sword on his shield to get their attention, while studying the movements of the nearest one. Studied Target on the gnoll nearest to Dalgrym's position
If any Gnolls provoke an AoO, Dalgrym will trip them at +13. He does not provoke an AoO when using Trip.

brvheart, would you allow me to retcon that I have Life Link active to the other six characters in the party (Assuming no one objects). If not, that will be my first action, setting up the link.
Ariane Wald
Ariane smiles as she draws her bow, Hjartaleita. "This should be fun." She moves backward towards the centre of the room, before turning and firing at two of the gnolls in the direction from which she came. Freki bounds forward to attack another.
I'm going to need a token for Freki; any old wolf token will do. I'm also assuming we're going with the "animal companions act on their owner's initiative" rule, since otherwise a PbP game will get bogged down. If not then let me know and I'll roll an initiative for Freki for future rounds.
Ariane is firing at one of the gnolls; I've marked it as "attacked" in orange on the roll20. Freki's strategy will depend on Ariane's success: if Ariane doesn't kill the gnoll, Freki will move to space "Freki 1" and attack it too. If Ariane does kill it, then Freki will move to the gnoll's former spot (ie Freki 2) and will attack the gnoll to the South, gaining flanking bonuses.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Ariane's attack
1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Ariane's damage
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 Freki's attack (+2 if flanking)
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Freki's damage
If Freki hits, he gets a free trip attempt as a rider:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 trip attempt (+4 if flanking)

Sorry. THought I did grease this round.
Tobold pulls out a small bulb of acid and shoots a small stream of it at one of the gnolls. (two down diagonally from him. Looks like he has screw next to him on the map)

sorry for taking so long to post. I haven't talked about it much but I've been sick since the weekend. I've had more time to post but not always enough energy.
Dalgrym bashes the gnoll to his left with his shield, swings his sword at the ankle of the gnoll to his right, and then bashes it with his shield also. "Jus' try t' take me! Enh?!"

Not a problem. I have health issues myself so I am sometimes unavailable.
Your first attack hits. Then you are done. My house rule, roll a nat 1 and you are done with your round. Goes for the enemy also. They get more that you most of the time. Please see the campaign info for my other house rules. I don't have many.

It's Ariane, not Ariana.
Also, what is she doing there? Unless something moved her against her will, she should be in the square I've circled in orange. Remember that she's an archer, and so she didn't need to go into melee to fight! Is it possible you got her mixed up with Freki?

I moved Ariene, but you should have been able to move her yourself. Let me know if you cannot. It is your turn. I did have to move you 5' as that circle is on the central column.

Botting Ariane, with GM approval
Note that I realized that Ariane's position on the map was halfway down the stairs, unlikely to be where she would have positioned herself. I have positioned her in Roll20 where I suspect would more likely want to be as an archer.
Ariane shifts her aim to the standing gnoll nearest Freki. (The intended target is circled in orange.)
Ariane's shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Freki tripped the gnoll to the right of Ariane's new target. He will attack that tripped gnoll again and take an attack of opportunity against if it provokes.
Freki's bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
If Freki can trip the gnoll again, he takes his free trip attack to do so:
Trip attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
brvheart
that is fine. Both attacks miss though as she is firing through her allies.

spear: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

that is fine. Both attacks miss though as she is firing through her allies.
In case it helps, she notes in her botting instructions that she has the deadeye bowman trait which allows her to ignore soft cover provided by one creature. It appears that only Tobold was between her and her target, so she might still have hit. Her bow also has seeking, but I don't think the issue was with a miss chance.
Did Freki's prone adversary stand and provoke an attack of opportunity? If so, the wolf will take a bite attempt.
Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
