Buscador takes a shot with the big heavy canon, but misses. He is still getting used to the size of the weaponry of this new ship.
Vyviane on the other hand is a quick study with a great shot to the starboard side of the enemy ship. Her missle blasts through the shield and even damages the aft weapons. Crit Effect: 1d100 ⇒ 40 Which weapon (1=forward): 1d2 ⇒ 2 In fact, the blast seemed so powerful, it even is making the aft weapons malfunction.
The enemy ship then does an evasive semi-circle around you, leaving their aft facing you.

I used the "Turn in place" stunt. No piloting check needed. Ship has "average" maneuverability so no penalties.

Now that Vyviane is settled in her gunner seat, she hears the encouragement form Dex which will help her blast the enemy ship again.
Friye successfully locks on to the enemy ships weapon again, hoping to cripple them even more.
Ak accidentally crosses a few wires causing some things to short but he is able to fix them promptly before anyone notices, but it also means he is unable to boost the engines this round.
Alzandre swings the ship around to face the enemy ship so you are facing the aft of them.
Suddenly, the enemy ship releases a powerful shot from the coilgun that looks like it is going to cause some real damage. Then Alzandre manages to swerve out of the way of the shot making it completely miss. Making me roll twice on coilgun shots made me lose my 20 and miss completely. Nice work. Then another surprise shot comes from the gyrolaser on the aft their ship, but it also fails.
Those boosts from the clues throughout this adventure are really helpful.

Buscador is still struggling with the heavier weaponry and sends another shot into a random asteroid but Vyviane is having much better luck! She sends a missile right into the enemy ship, really injuring the hull of the ship.weapon? (Forward=1): 1d2 ⇒ 1. This time, her missile blasted the pirates front facing weapons, making them even harder to use.
Ak manages to recover from his blunder from a moment ago and give the engine a nice boost of energy, making the whole ship speed up.
Friye targets the already injured weapons of the enemy ship, hoping to finish off the guns to disarm the hip completely.
Captain Dex is happy to see the damage Vyviane has done and tries to continue to encourage her to do better, but it doesn't seem to get through to her this time.
Lastly, Alzandre zooms right up against the enemy ship, but does so in an evasive way to make you harder to target.
The enemy ship looks like it is going to fly away from you but suddenly, it flips over in space to face towards you. As in finishes it's flip, the weapons it has come online to attack! Alzandre's trick is unable to fool the pirates a third time as he tries to quickly move out of the way of the coilgun but gets blasted by it! But the blast does not quite make it through the forward shields of your ship. 8 damage to your forward shield. The pirates also release a heavy torpedo at you but that misses your ship.

Buscador finally gets the hang of this new ship as he blows through the enemy's shield and damages the ship! crit: 1d100 ⇒ 52 which weapon? (1=forward): 1d2 ⇒ 1 The powerful attack completely destroys the forward facing weapons, leaving them completely useless. crit: 1d100 ⇒ 25 The blast also seems to of messed with their sensors.
Vyviane's shot was a weaker hit than normal but still finds her mark! The enemy seems to be on her last legs!
The enemy ship, knowing it is in a bad place, attempts one of the most risky moves in a pilot's arsenal; fly by attack. It flies right at you, hoping to pull away at the last second but the moves apears to be too tricky for this pilot for he doesn't open the enemy ship for an attack as he flies over and in fact, leaves him wide open! Vyviane gets a free attack to any quadrant.

Ak tinkers with the weapons system to make the guns more powerful, hoping to avoid another dud of a missile again!
With the hull as destroyed as it is, Friye finds it easy to target the power core of the enemy ship!
Dex gives an impassioned speech but it is toned out by the warnings and chirps coming from the computer. It did not seem to really motivate any one.
Lastly, Alzandre pivots the ship to face the enemy, putting you in a good place to end it!
The enemy ship misses it's chance to attack while flying by you and apparently, that mistake cost them a lot as the coilgun shot from the enemy ship misses by miles. The Gyrolaser gun does land a shot against you but fails to even break your shields. 3 damage to your forward shields

You had 1 missile let to use, which you missed with, but the coilgun is enough to finish the ship off!
Buscador missed the enemy ship again with the heavy gun. Vyviane takes the opportunity to shoot as the enemy is flying by but she also misses, not being used to attacking at a target on top of her. She notices the missile tank is empty, so she switches to a powerful coilgun and lets a shot fly that blasts right into the powercore! There is a huge explosion as the Lawblight is no longer a threat. The ship is nothing but space rubble now!

In just a few days time, you get back to the station with your newly gained information from the Unbounded Wayfarer. Venture-Captain Arvin greets you with a warm smile as you disembark.
