Nice flying Alzandre, that positioning really helps since I can not shoot now.

The enemy ship just sits there. You see the back gun twitch as if they are trying to move it but it is far too damaged to be repaired on the fly.

Dex appears to take orders better than Buscador as Vyviane is able to encourage him shoot.

...we seem to have shields under control. I have some telemetry on their weapons array...sending it to the gunner stations. There's a narrow beam where if you hit them just right you can shoot straight down the barrel where it's unprotected.

Target System, Sensor bonus: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 = 24

DC8 if I'm interpreting correctly (5 + 1.5 enemy tier + enemy countermeasures = 5 + 3 + 0 = 8)

Next gunner shot crits on 19-20 and targets a random weapon.

Alzandre tries to pull off a fancy maneuver while flying but it was just too predictable for it to throw any gunner off. The enemy ship blasts a laser into your front shield, but not breaking through it.

Fryie manages to get the computer to lock on to the enemy's weapons. While she is doing that, Vyviane manages to encourage Dex to fire better again!

No, the reason they do initiative backwards in this is because there is a huge advantage to move last. So since you rolled lower than my ship, you move first and I get to react to it.

Vyviane jumps up an gives a hoot as she sees Buscador's shot cause part of the enemy's ship to fall off. "See that's what happens whn you pay atttention to what your halfling captain is saying!"

She gives a slight grimace as she sees Alzandre reacting too soon. "Alzandre, you're jumping the gun again! Be careful. But you're manuvering well enough that it shouldn't be a huge problem."

She nods at Friye's comment. "Good taking their weapons offline would be good. Might I suggest the power core as well? If we can hurt it enough, it'll impair thier whole ship!"

She nods to Ak, (or the engineering comms channel). "Ak, brilliant job so far! Maybe some extra power to the weapons? Otherwise I can't think of anything you can do, unless you want to man an extra gun?"

Then with a deep breath, she finally turns to Buscador. "So you say you're paying attention now? Well, then: Put your right tentacle up! Move the targetting circle three degrees to the left! Turn 25 degrees to the right! And finally... Wait for it... SHOOT!"

Okay so I made a mistake last round by not noticing this. Your facing needs to be one of the adjacent hexes, not the space between the hexes. Essentially there are only 6 ways to face. I made the mistake by not catching that your facing was wrong last round, so I will let you keep the movement but I will need you to twist your facing to be on one of the two hexes, not between.

On a side note, awesome shooting guys. I am pretty sure you do double damage when you crit as well. I will do a longer update in about an hour and half. But until then, it is Ak's turn

I was incorrect, you do not deal double damage with crits. You just deal an extra critical.

Odd, the exact same systems as last time.

Dex lands a nice hit against the hull of the enemy ship, causing the ship to break apart, specifically the the forward weapon. It is clear that it was patched since last shot, but this shot broke the patch and damaged it even more.

Buscador lands a perfectly placed shot in the exposed engines. The ship seems to be in a really bad place at this point.

@GM, I believe that first crit should have automatically been on Weapons (not randomly chosen) due to my Target System action this round. If I'm right about that, then it looks to me like we have two crits on Weapons (one from Target System and one randomly chosen). Am I getting that wrong?

I believe your target system will effect the next shots (round 7), these shots were still from round 6 (where you rebalanced shields)

Buscador is correct. The next shots taken are the ones that are effected by the targeting. I know it gets a bit confusing. I am just looking forward to you guys ending this fight haha. One thing I really don't like about space combat is that it becomes clear that one ship is very disadvantaged with crits and stuff but they drag on for so long. They are exciting at the start, just a bit too long in my opinion.

The enemy ship swings around in an evasive way to put you in line with their scary gun. The shot pounds into your front facing shield but is unable to break through. I am killing it on the die 20 rolls even with the minuses from crits, but I rolled 1,1,2,4 on 4d8 haha

You set the ship between hexes again. Your facing needs to be one of the 6 adjacent hexes, not the line between two hexes. Either one that you are between is legal, so just adjust it to which ever you prefer.

Not sure if that helped. I am trying to put the ship in the square where the last purple arrow ends. I have been making the arrows center hex to center hex.

The hex you are in works, it is the facing arrow that is messed up. Notice of how on my ship, the facing arrow is pointing out into an adjacent hex? Your arrow is pointing to the line between two hexes which makes it hard to know which way the ship is supposed to be facing. All of your movement has been fine, you picked that part up very fast.

Re-did my movement so things line up better. Looking carefully, the arrow is a bit off-centered which may be causing some of my trouble. Not sure though.

The enemy ship does finishes the semi circle it started last round, staying with it's evasive maneuvering. The forward heavy cannon is in bad shape but still lands powerful blow against your ship. The shot breaks right through the shields and damages the hull. 16 damage so port shields are out and hull takes 6 more damage, making it a crit.

The shot strikes right into the power core of your ship causing it to start to glitch. -2 to all engineer checks besides patch and hold it together.
