Dex takes a shot that cuts the ships current hull points in half. Darn, even if Buscador deals max damage on his shot, the enemy will still be up so we will have at least one round to go. You guys are almost there!

So anyone know what happens to initiative when the engines are wrecked? It says all checks automatically fail, does that mean I will automatically go first? Nice shooting guys.

Never mind, before the initiative check happens, the engineer would have the chance to try to "hold it together" which he did, so my previous roll stands as my initiative roll.

Yep, it is legal. Having good maneuverability is really nice! And nope, sadly no point blank shot bonuses.

Vyviane gives a particularly vivacious string of curses as the enemy's shoot jerks their ship and sends it drifting off to the starboard side. She jumps up and immediately starts calling orders.

"Ak, I need a systems report stat! They obviously got through our shields, so boosting them up should be number two. Then patch up any other problems!"

"Friye, can you get the shields reba- Nevermind seems you're on it!"

"Alzandre, get us up behind them, I hate having them turn around and punch holes in us."

She glances back over at Friye, and gives her head a shake. "Friye, dear. I love kitty. He's cute and he's got a better personality to body ratio than most halflings, but, darling, next time please lock him up in your room! He's not helping."

She nods at Ak's report. "Good, and thanks for the report! Go get that power fluctuation!"

She gives a final glance at the front viewscreen and gives a nod. "Good job, Alzandre! That's just where I wanted to be! Wait, How are they still moving? Their engines are completely shot! Dangit they must have an engineer as good as Ak! ****!"

Trust me, I took it into account. My rolls have been incredible this fight... This round I rolled a 19, 20, 18, 15, 3 (where all I needed was a 3 to succeed), and 15 ... the dice are determined to make a comeback

The enemy ship manages, against all odds, to fly forward and flip around to face you. What is even more impressive is the fact that while it is doing it, the broken gun in the front is able to hit right on target for massive effect! The blast slices right through your shields, and still blow a huge chunk of your ship off with it. 10 damage to the forward shield and 13 to the hull.

The blast seems to strike the power core again! It is some rough shape, causing everyone's job to get harder. -4 to all engineering checks (besides patch and hold it together) -2 to all other checks by everyone!). Luckily this damage does not happen yet till the end of the gunnery round so the gunner do not take that minus yet, so you can end it here!

The enemy engines seem shut down for a moment and kick back on.

She takes a few seconds to breathe, trying to keep her calm. She gives one last explosive release of air before talking again. "No worries, Buscador, it's not your fault!"

Hold it together makes the system two levels better for 1 round (so malfunctioning to fine). Patching moves it to one step better but the system needs two patches to move a system from malfunctioning to glitching, if my understanding is correct. Just wanted to clarify. Let's hope for some good rolls by Dex! He can end it here!

Vyviane gives Friye a quick look, thinking about her words for a second. "Hmm, Helping him patch it up might not be a bad idea, but I really don't like having any shields on a quadrant. I'd say rebalance or redirect some power to those shields!"

Vyivane then takes a deep breath, and in a more calm tone of voice answers Dex. "Sorry, I got swept up in the flow of the moment. You've been doing great! Just a little more!"

Dex blows another large hole in the hull of the ship. It is impressive that the hull is still functioning at this point.

The enemy ship does one of the hardest stunts there is. You see it flying right at you at full speed, when suddenly, it just barely slips by you, while flying over, it releases a cannon blast fight at the front of your ship. I am going to run some statisitcs at the end of this fight because the dice rolling has been incredible for me all fight! There is no way that should of worked with the current damage to my engines...

I believe both are hits! At least that is how I have been playing it. The stat block lists the AC, but I know with PC ships, you get the pilots ranks added to the ships AC. I do not know if the pilot's ranks are already add in to the AC on the stat block or not... I will assume they are!

Both of your gunners blast into the enemy ship. This time, you notice something different. Their engines shut down again but don't restart. Suddenly, Fryie's screen changes from red to its normal color as he computer reads that no weapons are armed on the enemy vessel... it is clear that you have won!!!

The Corpse Fleet ship lists to one side and its power core overloads, covering the ship with coruscations of negative energy. Then it just floats lifelessly.

END OF PART 2

The Endless Threnody drifts just outside the forward viewport. The enormous Corpse Fleet starship bristles with bone spurs, and a baleful red lens at its fore resembles a swollen and bloody eye. Crackles of dark energy leap across the bone spurs, discharging from the ruined ship’s necromantic power source.

With a burst of static and a flash, a blue-hued hologram of Venture-Captain Arvin appears at the Loreseeker’s communications station. Excellent work. The Endless Threnody is incapacitated, but not pulverized. I need you to board that vessel, access the main computers at the bridge, and recover the coordinates of the missing Starfinder vessel’s crash site.

That energy signature looks dangerous, and those discharges can damage your hull. Dock at the cargo bay at the rear of the ship and make your way forward to the bridge. Wear space suits if your armor can’t protect you from vacuum—there are a few suits in a storage locker aboard your ship. Eoxian ships do not have life support and are often exposed to space. Any questions?

Yeah, any armor in Stafinder has the ability to protect you against your from environmental hazards. The amount of time depends on the item level (1 day per level).

Vyviane a cheer as both shots hit and seem to disable the enemy ship. "Perfect! Good Job Dex, Buscador!" She looks over at Alzadre. "Nice flying there champ! You were awesome!"

Next she looks over to the engineering section. "Friye, beautiful handling of both science and engineering duties! If you ever want a second job, I would recruit you in a heartbeat!"

She smiles as Ak crawls out of the power core panel and starts pouring on his charm. "Thanks Ak, but it's only because I had such a competent crew! Especially our resident engineering master, who was able to support everyone so well!" With a wink at the ysoki, she turns to Arvin's message, and listens, nodding along. "Nope, that was pretty clear on what we need to do and how!"

As she preps to leave the ship, she glances over at Dex and his disappointed expression over his empty mug. With a slight sigh, she moves into the kitchenette on the ship. Returning back with a carafe of coffee, she pours him a mug. "I know, it's not as good as your usual coffee, but I'd rather never have to meet Dex off caffeine!"

The necromantic energies used often radiate a minor aura of cold damage in addition to powering the ship.

Alzandre needs to pull the ship in to dock to be able to board the enemy ship. Given the scary spikes and bursts of energy, this is a harder task than normal. I need a piloting check to properly land without hitting the ship.

Once you are inside, you realize you are probably in a cargo bay but it seems mostly empty. The Endless Threnody has normal gravity but has no light. Please let me know if you have darkvision or what forms of light you will be using.

There is a computer in this room. You believe that you can tamper with the negative energy in the ship through the computer with a mysticism check or a computers check.
