Vyviane, not willing to rush the discussion along, gives the woman a flat level look. She does, however, let go of the barrel of the blue man's gun and try drop the cover off her sword cane, while chatting all the while. "You know, you guys weren't very hard to find! It just took a few questions here and there, and a few arm twists. I mean were you trying to hide your activites? ...Anyways, it'd be best if you stopped and thought about it, you're outnumbered and we have one hellauva brusier that you ust heard crashing through the trees there! I'd rather not have to kill you, but he'd probably wring your necks and tear them clean off. I don't like it, way too bloody, but the only thing that'd stop him is your surrender. Immediate surrender that is!"
With her sword cane free she mentally prepares herself to respond to any shots that get fired in case this doesn't work out.

The woman who is digging stops, stands up and in a voice that is clearly from an undead shouts, Well boys, isn' this why I am paying you? Let's make this one fast. She then crouches behind the cover of the fountain and takes a shot at Alzandre. Despite the trees making hard to get a clear shot, she hits him hard with shot from a laser. 5 damage to Alzandre. I will repost the rules for miss chance down here in a spoiler just as a reminder.
When the shot goes off, Buscador tries to melt the mind of the purple guard. He shouts in agony as the full effect of the mental attack hits him. 7 damage to purple.
Vyviane makes her cane into a weapon in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately as swift and cool of an act as it is, the swing landed on the ground and not the guard.
Knowing that it melee works better with the concealment from the plants, the purple guard (whose nose is now trickling blood) approaches Alzandre while pulling out an assault hammer. But the hit to his head really messed with his aim as he misses miserably.
The blue guard drops his gun and also pulls out an assault hammer and swing at this talkative halfling. Look, babe, we are getting paid to do a job... how would it look for us to just leave? He has better luck than Vyviane and the purple guard as his hammer finds it's mark. 4 damage to Vyviane
Lastly, the red guard advances on the non so stealthy Captain Dex. He also pulls out his assault hammer and swings. He strikes Dex in the shoulder, causes a bit of pain, but Dex knows he was inches from doing some real damage. 4 damage to Dex (rolled a 19 on the attack roll... that could of been bad).
It is now everyone's turn! Good luck on the rolls.
The floor of the Vat Garden is 15 feet lower than the walkway surrounding it, and the foliage is so thick that creatures in the vat have total concealment (50% miss chance) from creatures up on the walkway. Within the vat, the orderly rows of plants provide concealment (20% miss chance) to opponents more than 10 feet away; enemies closer than this do not benefit from concealment.
The two ladders and steep staircase leading down into the vat are easy to navigate, but the PCs can also climb down the plants themselves with a successful DC 15 Athletics check.

Well that was a rough round for the good guys...
Vyviane and Buscador both have bad luck hitting the enemies. Fryie's shot finds a nice plant to hit. Luckily, Kitty was able to hit someone but only knick him. The bad luck continues through Alzandre's turn as he misses the injured guard. Ak is the first to land a solid strike hitting center mass on the injured guard. Lastly, Dex also misses his guard. What is unfortunate for Dex is that the blue guard is ready to take advantage of him shooting so close. But bad luck seems to be the theme as he misses Dex by a hair.
The ghoul shouts, Press the attack! As she takes another shot at Buscador. He shot finds its place on the strange alien. dealing 5 fire damage (She has been on point with that gun. Second round in a row with max damage.

The blue friend smiles at the mouthy halfling, You can always give it... I might be willing to forgive you... He winks at her. He also swings his hammer at her. This time, he must be distracted because his swing misses by a long shot.
Lastly, the Red Guard takes a swing at the pesky robot. But the robot proves to be too elusive for him and his hammer finds the ground instead.

Alzandre takes a full-round action to cast Magic Missile at the Ghoul...
MAGIC MISSILE School: evocation (force)
Casting Time: 1 standard action; see text
Range: medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Targets: up to three creatures, no two of which can be more than 15 ft. apart; see text
Duration: instantaneous
Saving Throw: none; Spell Resistance: yes
You fire two missiles of magical energy that strike targets unerringly (the creatures must still be valid targets) and deal 1d4+1 force damage each. You can’t target specific parts of a creature, and objects are not damaged by the spell. You can target a single creature or several creatures, but each missile can strike only one creature. You must designate targets before you attempt to overcome spell resistance or roll damage. You can cast this spell as a full action. If you do, you fire three missiles instead of two.

When the last guard sees his friends fall to the ground and they do not seem like they are getting up, he shouts Okay, okay, I surrender! Clearly we were not cut out for this job. It is not his action so he can not drop his weapon or anything, so Dex, you can continue to attack him if you would like.

She joins up with everyone else around the ghoul and listens to her sob story. "Quite frankly, I don't care why you were digging up bones or that your ship got attacked by pirates. What I want to know is why did you have these Starfinder insignias?"
She gives AK a quick glance as he advocates shooting the unarmed man. "AK, he's unarmed and it was his job! I wouldn't hate someone for doing their job. Anyways, we don't even know if they were trying to kill or just incapacitate."
After a moment she turns back to the ghoul a sparkle in her eye. "You know, the company I represent might be able to help get your ship back on its feet, or drift engines as the case may be. For a price of course!"

Ohhh you are after me over those trinkets. I knew there must be a reason you were interested in me. Well, keep this on the down low, but I am new to the Corpse Fleet. They destroyed my own ship and gave me the option of flying with a new crew or being dead. I pick the new crew. Well... I work on the ship Endless Threnody. Everything was okay for a bit. Then we heard a distress call from a Starfinder ship so we went to investigate. We traveled to the Starfinder vessel’s crash site on a desert planet and acquired several treasures, including the Starfinder insignias. It was too late for us to make any "new recruits" so we were getting ready to move on. Suddenly the Lawblight attacked. They must of been what dropped the starfinder ship as well.
If I had enough money for a new drift engine, I would of quickly bought one and left. I got enough money to fuel up head back with the bones from selling the insignias.

Vyviane frowns slightly at the mention of the 'Corpse Fleet.' "You're Corpse Fleet? Uh, no! We would have been fine with working out a loan arrangement with you, but I doubt that my employers want to get involved with them. Hmmm, if you'd rather, we do have business interests on Eox and could always use more people who can live there without a hefty cost of living... or unliving as the case may be. The benefits are great and if you stress the 'strongarmed into it' angle, we could easily downplay the whole 'Corpse Fleet' connection. What'day say?"

"We'd hopefully help you build an identity where they wouldn't come after you in the first place! They don't have anyway of tracking you, right? If so, you should be fine, I mean people disappear in Absalom Station ALL the time! What difference is a single ghoul from an illegal organization going to make? It's not like they can come here and investigate openly, is it?"
She then turns and gives Alzandre a nod. "Right, if you don't have the details on where the ship was, then we'll have to go retrieve it ourselves. Any details on what we should be looking out for?"
