Right, going to assume PST then since it is 4:40pm EST right now.
Decided to go for Warlord, since War Master just doesn't have much in the way of teamwork ability (although a human Warmaster could get a stupid ridiculous +8 circumstance bonus to his AC that I really would've liked)
Here's my profile, I'll be steadily updating it until the deadline.

CommandoDude |

Welp, deadline drawing to a close. My crunch isn't 100% complete, mostly just dealing with magic items and the (complicated) maneuvers. The back story is all there and expanded on even. If I get selected I'll keep adding to it and revising, as well as come up with some followers (at least one of which will be my item crafter). I'll fill in the manuevers for awhile and worry about all the magic item juggling if I'm picked.
Didn't even realize it but apparently my character is in some mad competition with Karl.
I'd also encourage the GM to check out my other character Sevia who is my only other PbP character for an example of my RP style.

GM Lost Glory |

Technically the deadline was a few hours ago, but I am extending it a bit further. Nothing like a migraine to screw with posting. Regardless, take this time to finish up whatever you were doing to your character, put on final touches with it, ect.
It's all good folks. I don't usually have headaches, but this was a pretty bad one.
As an aside, for those who are selected tomorrow, I will be taking my lovely out on a date, so just letting you guys know my posting will be close to zilch on Saturday. I'll try to slip a post or two in for you guys, but I'm unsure if that will be feasible without being terribly rude.
EDIT: Said 'you guys' one too many times. Ugh. I'm about to go take a nap in a little bit. I think that heat got to me a bit because I've been working since about 30 minutes after I got up around 3:30 and I only got about6 1/2 hours sleep anyway.

EDIT: Said 'you guys' one too many times.
Oh no... did the GM just let slip that he's picked a party of entirely male characters? What? But he said "you guys" three times... never mind, Half-Life 3 confirmed!
And no worries. A game's maximum post rate is always what works for the GM, not the players.

I just get the feeling he's Californian.
Why? Because we Californians say "you guys" when referring to girls all the time.
It's kind of like calling someone "dude" too.

Ange de la Nuit |

No, my baby is from the way down here in hickville! Like so far out in hickville that the average town is rough the size of just a few city blocks if that. This one town near us is basically a collection of buildings in a circle around town hall with a small bit of houses interspersed across a few miles. We had the misfortune of picking up the loval vernacular eccentricity of saying 'guys, man, and dude' a lot. It's weird, considering the fact that I am French and he has like over 180 I.Q., that we still assimilate the vernacular we never thought we would use? Language is freaky that way, is it not?
Posting on the same laptop, btw. Anyone want me to sneak a peek at the current list of applicants?
Cali is awesome, btw! I've always had some notion to move to LA or Silicon Valley. Why the latter? Tech nerd of course!

Angelpalm |

I'd rather go to France or Italy than deal with a bunch of hipsters or Cali traffic imo.
Having lived in both San Diego and Orange county for a nice chunk of my life I can say without a doubt I am over Cali. I'd rather go back to Florida as terrible as it can be because at the very least I can breath the air and by tickets to heaven made out of gold whenever I decide to die.

WabbitHuntr |

"And having been to Florida in the summer, there is absolutely nothing breathable about air at 95% humidity."
-----------------------------
not trying to rub it in (maybe a little), but I was able to go to the beach and jump in the water all winter long down here in Miami.... WITHOUT a wetsuit.
I had to do that multiple times this winter after getting chilled to the bone watching tv and seeing all those people get snowed in during the snow-pocalypse

Tirion Jörðhár |

We hardly had any snow. We had 2+ months where there was hardly more than 24-30 inches on the ground. And now, it is down to only an inch or two. I mean, who needs the beach when you can go out at -5 to -40F.
Plus, to go any speed in Florida, you need some machine. I hit 71 on a pair of old skis this winter. Definitely need new ones next year to see if I can approach 80. Nothing but gravity and insanity baby.

Phoenix Hunter |

I'm in Colorado. We've had maybe a week of snow total in Denver this year, the mountains are only just out of ski season, and most of my winter was spent in T-shirts because 40 degrees with no humidity feels more comfortable than 60 with.
I've lived in Florida, Michigan, Minnesota and Colorado... Except that there aren't really a lot of large bodies of water, Colorado is environmentally the best. Spent a year in Cali too. Still like Colorado better
Tirion, where you at that has skiable mountains?

Tirion Jörðhár |

New Hampshire. Although the mountains are a little shorter here, the highest, Mt. Washington, is only 6200 ft, they have much bigger teeth than in Colorado (Mt. Washington's top wind speed is 232mph). I lived in Colorado for 2 years, and my brother has been in Colorado Springs for over 20 years, but the skiing is very different out there.
I agree, 0 humidity really changes the feeling, but it is the sun that makes the difference. I went to elementary school (way back in the 1970s) one day at -42. It was cold in Colorado occasionally, and I lived in the mountains, but nothing even close to that. Minnesota is as cold, if not colder, but does not have the snow and mountains that we have here.
I actually live in the middle of New Hampshire. The big mountains are a little more than an hour north with Cannon having just over 2000 (top 4100, bottom 2000) vertical for skiing, and some of the best terrain in the country in my opinion, you just never hear about it because it is owned by the state and not some commercial machine.

WabbitHuntr |

I lived in Keystone Colo for a year. Absolutely loved it, snowboarded 100 days that season.
I would love to live out there again. Where I refuse to live is anywhere where it snows a lot without mountains. I want to look at a forecast for 8 inches of snow and think "wohoo powder day" not "s~&%, I'll have to shovel the sidewalk"

Tirion Jörðhár |

Colorado is nice. I liked California as well. Spent one summer in Florida and have to agree that the humidity sucks. While the weather in New Hampshire may not be optimal all the time, the mountains and the life (trees, animals, water, etc) make it a great place to do anything outdoors most of the year (even in the winter, you just need more clothes).

GM Lost Glory |

Time for my selections!
1. Ange de la Nuit's slotted character (dedicated caster)
2. CommandoDude's Lexarius Rubicon
3. Phoenix Hunter's Detective Blackhart
4. Thunderbeard's Sir Darren Carter
5. LordLuke's Velius Kross
These messageboards have been simply wonderful! So many applicants have such amazing characters, it was hard to choose such a small portion of them. I wish everyone the best in getting into campaigns!
Those selected, head to discussion!
