Nope no reactionary for me. Hmmm I think I will go for diplomacy as a class skill. Then I will have sense motive, bluff, diplomacy and intimidate. >:-) perfect villian skills for a manipulator.

But to each there own! :) Reactionary is a good skill~

Dark Archive

Hmm another trait? What do...

Pfft who needs diplomacy when you have intimidate, bluff and a sexeh body ;) :P

Lexi the race stats I sent ya... do they look alright?

still need to run the crunch.

also everyone is there any problems with my idea, (i realize I am using the same concept as the game but I'm sorry its a great idea. If it is a problem I will gladdly change things around.

(I have already been attacked (personally) over the concept)

The player's guide mentions a house rule of everyone getting an additional 2 skill points per level. Are you using this?

Reactionary - You were bullied often as a child, but never quite developed an offensive response. Instead...

nope, you lost me.

Oh good catch reckless. :o

@Jolly roger I may have to change to male if we are a female heavy party lol.

True on your statement, however diplomacy keeps them happy longer and less likely to get mad and come shoot at you later.

Especially if you convinced them they were getting used for their own 'good.'

I am still wrapping my head around the contract making asmodean. Never played a bad guy, other then as a GM before. ;)

Isn't Bluff Diplomacy with lies? At least that is how I am interpreting it. Instead of a diplomacy roll you do a good bluff roll. And I get charm and dominate later on so, I'm fine ;).

I think an all female party will be fun, though cat fights might arise ;).

Might get weird if all the girls use their bodies to get the good guys to work for them :d.

^They're not evil parties but I'm currently playing in two other PBPs where there's only one male PC and 4-5 female PCs. It's not really made a difference in one game but we've already gotten some interesting NPC reactions in the other :P

May I submit Solitaur the Sanguinarian

Custom Race: Flay Minder:

“The only sweeter taste than your blood is your regret!”

Aberration (3RP): Created as weapons by powerful followers of Asmodeus, Flay Minders have physiologies built on the taste of regret and deception. Flay Minders are known to weave intricate lies, secure pacts, and extort contracts with the most desperate sentient beings. To facilitate this taste, they have developed toxic leech-like symbiotes under their tongues, which look like mercury tendrils. Aside from this defining feature, Flay Minders appear human.

Greater Paragon (2RP) and Advanced Intelligence (4RP): Keen minds for weaving intricate plots are essential to the Flay Minder, and the creators thereof. Built to be otherworldly automatons of Asmodeus, talent for creating intricate lies and extorting contracts comes at the cost of physical power and innate personality. Flay Minders have +6 Int, -2 Str, -2 Cha.

Beguiling Liar (2RP): Flay Minders have an incredible ability to foresee the desires of their targets, and receive +4 to all bluff checks.

Toxic (1RP): The symbiotic tongue leeches in the mouth of a Flay Minder secrete a weakening fluid. This fluid sedates the prey of a Flay Minder allowing a deeper sense of regret. Life-Stealing Venom: Injury; save Fort DC 10 + 1/2 the user's Hit Dice + the user's Constitution modifier; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1 Con; cure 1 save.

Crimes!:

“Your tears of unfathomable sadness are delicious!” Unfathomable Sadness

Solitaur is an exceptionally devious Flay Minder, completely intent on destroying the lives of his targets and enemies. Murder, extortion, cannibalism, slavery, and human trafficking are the foundation of his life, one noble was able to catch him for fraud! It was an insult of grand proportions for Solitaur to be caught in a lie. However, most of the lie was undetected; the noble thought Solitaur wanted his money. Truly, his money was the last of Solitaur’s desires, a wife, a family, and fleet of merchant vessels were the beginnings of his plot. He was ready for the long con, and time would always be on his side.
Fraud
You tried to bilk someone out of their cash. To end up in Branderscar Prison, this was no petty con job or penny ante racket. Instead, you brazenly tried to defraud someone important of a huge sum of money. And it almost worked too!
Punishment: Life at hard labor in the salt mines
Benefit: You receive a +2 trait bonus to Bluff checks and Bluff is always a class kill for you.

Submitting Amber Irdait for approval! Everything should be in the profile (which is a recycled alias) so let me know if there's anything that needs to be changed or explained.

@Edward Sobel - I don't see any problem with your character's story, though I did get a little confused near the end. She's a gnome that disguised herself as a child but is her state of mind childlike or is that something that gets triggered when under stress? I only ask because she seemed to act like a distraught/angry pyro child when the home was attacked but I couldn't figure out if that was supposed to be her attempts to act and stay in-character as a child or if the reaction was more...genuine.

If people object over you borrowing concepts from other media, I personally don't see the issue with it as long as a person puts their own spin on it. To use a popular example, maybe a person could play a Drizzt-like character but they shouldn't actually try to play Drizzt you know?

I know on the story, it is a first draft as I am adapting it from another story. I still have editing to do but I wanted to get something posted to show interest and get some initial feedback.

I had a Dm that made me use bluff and diplomacy to win people over as a neutral character. So depending on Lexibeans preference I just cover my bases. ;)

Good point hopefully it is just hairpulling. Cat fights with swords doesn't end well... :(

Lmao. That could be strange butb if we win we can always get rid of them later. ;D

This is Rikash. I've got a post in progress that goes more in depth, but that'll have to wait for later. Definitely going for a monk though. I've got some fun ideas.

You forgot my Aasimar Lord of Darkness Antipaladin Alexandria

statsed up my summoner, but need t post it (at work so cannot post it from there.

A more fine-tuned version of Solitaur.

To dig into the Flay Minder race a little, they were created by the Phistophilus (Contract Devils) as nearly human originators of woefully outlandish traps. Sewing discord among wealthy families eventually drives the victims to one of two inevitabilities:

1) The victim eventually dies, and most likely becomes an agent of hell.

2) The victim turns to otherworldly powers to extricate themselves from peril, and in steps a Phistophilus.

Why would devils make an aberration? To avoid the more direct methods of devil hunting. Also, creating an entire race which can autonomously drive mortals to hell is much simpler than manipulating individuals directly. It's like outsourcing a pyramid scheme. Eventually the individuals affected make their way to hell, one way or another.

Flay Minders are two-fold in their naming convention – their intricate lies flay the minds of their victims; while the carnage that ensues draws them further into power. They are minders, keepers, or attendants to the flaying of lives, souls, and sadness.

Looks like my monk Esan also did not make the list..lol
Oh, well...like she said it was an incomplete list! If I have some time I will try and build on what you have started...

Oops. Thought i had only rolled one 13, so i just dropped it for a 12. a little OCD about even stat numbers :)

Looking through the race builder, i figure i can actually make a decent minor Rakshasa :)
Key things:
Native Outsider (3pts)
Floating +2 bonus (0pts) cause they are basically human.
Linguist Languages (1pt)
Bonus feat (4pts) cause they are basically human.
A bonus to deplomacy, bluff and/or disguise (1-3pts) a replacement for humans "Skilled" bonus.
Lesser Change Shape (3pts) the main divergence from humans and allows them to blend into society.

So that is 12-14 points for the "basic" idea. Its a human Outsider with natural, limited shapechanging abilities and a bit of focus for its skilled bonus. Hopefully this is alright and ill get to work actually developing it more.
Actually it should be quite benign. I wanted to create the race to be able to be any class and not go: "I Create Teh UBER Sorcerer!!"
Actually, i COULD create a broken sorcerer if i wanted to...
Greater Paragon stats, Advanced Cha, Elemental Affinity, Stonesinger, Stoneseer, Fertile Soil. 14 points. Then go Crossblooded Sorcerer. You have +6 Cha and your earth spells get cast with an additional +4 Cha, +1 CL and at +1 Level.
Anyway, ignore this XD

Thanks Esan :) ran into baby aggro last night and couldn't finish it. :(

If anyone was missed add your self and repost the list please. :0

4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 5) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 1) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 2) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 5) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 1) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 6) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 3) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 6) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 5) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 6) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 1) = 9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 2) = 12

So...18, 17, 16, 16, 15, 14. Not a bad mix.

Shadowyfox: you aren't dropping the lowest. Your attributes would be:

12
13
14
14
15
17

Which is still a very good array.

Oh! I get it now! Sorry. Suffering from severe muscle pain today, so sorta messed that one up a bit.

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 1) = 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 1) = 10
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 4) = 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 4) = 13
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 2) = 11
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 2) = 8
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 2) = 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 2) = 11
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 4) = 8
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 2) = 13
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 1) = 14
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 2) = 16

Maybe i wasn't meant to play in this campaign

When are you making a decision Lexi???Just curious is all...and kinda excited to play (if chosen!)
