"Here goes nothing!" Kat lunges forward and up the stairs, she hits the Blade Barrier and weaves through it, but just barely! Once close enough she lets her sword do the talking.

Agnar gawped at the cleric's still living body. Shaking his head, he pulled Skybolt from his shoulder while moving to close the distance. He nocked an arrow, and loosed it through the barrier of blades.

Sadly, nobody gets any bonuses to hit from Prazil as he's not threatening the dude in melee =( However....

Unsure how to get through the wall of blood-covered blades as deftly as Kat, Prazil fades back toward Kereek and encourages his allies. "He am a tricksy one! Be careful, Kat!"

Round 3:

Marcelline: 15
Prazil: 12
Kereek: 9
Agnar: 6
Katerina: 17
Antagonists: 16

Marcy tries to set up for another shot, while Kereek's spell fails to do what he'd hoped.

As Prazil retreats, and Agnar's shot bounces off the blades, Katerina takes matters into her own hand and dashes through the whirling barrier, just barely avoiding the worst of them 18 hp (I halved it already for you). She stabs him, drawing blood, though again the wound begins to heal almost immediately.

He jabs at her, but whatever magics Agnar dispelled must have been part of what made him so deadly earlier, and Katerina's easily able to knock his spear aside, jabbing him again as he leaves himself open.

Marcelline feels invigorated by Prazil's advice and drops her loaded crossbow, dashing through the blade barrier and getting up to the cleric man. She moves as quickly as she can, slipping her curve blade from its sheath and coming up on the other side of Katerina as she moves.

Katerina, bah!

Marcy, Kereek and Katerina's blades and bolts slam into the man and he reels backward, slowly crumpling to the ground.

As he falls, his body begins rapidly aging -- but instead of crumbling to dust, golden motes sparkle before dissipating upward.

The two women, in close proximity, think they hear the man's voice fading away: "Thank you."

Male Human Cleric 13 of Erastil HP 104/104

Agnar watched the golden motes disappear, and then approached his companions.

"Let me see those wounds."

Gathering everyone close, he called forth healing energies.

"Hmmm, Kat. Are you ok?" Agnar asked, trying to determine who's blood was on her armor.

Prazil whoops as the dangerous casty-man is blasted into motes of light, the little kobold cheering heartily at his companions valor and skill. When Agnar then patches his wounds, Prazil offers him a strong hug, though it's only around the cleric's leg. "Wow! Thanks, Agnar! Prazil am for feeling all better now!"

Marcelline hadn't been injured in this fight, but all of her wounds from the previous battles melted away with Agnar's attentions. She sighs, flicking blood from her blade. "Thank you, Agnar! You were the better priest after all."

Katerina is at first exultant at her victory over the old priest that was not near as tough as his magic made him. However, her face drops at the man's final benediction. Still proud of her skills, she pauses to think while the others root through his gear. "Was he trapped here? What a fate." She trails off, her grey eyes cloudy as her thoughts go to something beyond the now.

Agnar finally accounted for the blood on Kat's armor, finding a seeping gash under he left arm.

Wincing briefly in sympathetic pain, he then laid his hand upon it an called forth powerful healing energy. This glowed a brownish green and smelled of moss and wet fern.

Ten flickering braziers cast long shadows across this huge chamber, their wavering light gleaming from walls spattered with blood. The air reeks of decay, for the violently hacked bodies of a dozen men lie strewn about the chamber.

A massive man, wearing a breastplate with armored spikes and wielding a wicked-looking greatsword, grins as you enter. A battleaxe is strapped to his back

"Ah, more interlopers to slake Ovinrbaane's thirst," he exclaims. "You shall fall as do all who oppose the Tiger Lords!"

The eight skeletal warriors -- similar to the ones you bypassed in the cave -- stand at his flank, their own blades raised.

Seeing the undead abominations, Agnar felt the hairs on his neck stand up. That made him angry, and he ran into the room after Kat.

Rushing past the nearest skeleton to place himself in their midst, he unleashed a powerful wave of positive energy, hoping to shatter the necromantic weave that knitted the bones together.

Move 5 squares due north and then channel positive energy, last of the day. I think I get all but western-most skeleton. As for Prazil's Strategy, I'll use the +2 dodge to AC, unless I need extra movement for the stairs, etc, in which case I'll use the immediate move.

After seeing Kereek's spell fail, Prazil offers direction to the others, Katerina and Marcy quickly following his suggestions. Prazil, I moved you into the room too, per the "rush in," part of your post, though I wasn't sure if you meant to or not.

The former knocks the blade from his hands [ooc]bah!, though the latter can't connect. Also, you guys aren't in flanking based on where Kat moved (there's something blocking her opposite corner). You can fix that with a 5-ft. step, though, so I stuck with the directions.

Agnar's channel appears restricted somehow, as if Erastil didn't want to extend his power into the heart of Gorum's realm, but small bone flakes fall off the nearest skeletons. That's all color, based on the crappy roll. Channel acted as normal.

Moments later, their bony bodies seem to being restoring themselves, and they converge on you, greatswords slashing, often for your vitals those who have to move more than 5 ft. are using vital strike; Marcy takes 22; Prazil takes 40 (from two hits); Agnar takes 90 (from four hits) .

Prazil's AC is 32 - isn't that just one hit? Edit: nevermind, I see the Natural 20 in there now. Stinker.

If one of the skeletons adjacent to Prazil attacked Agnar, he'll target that one first and foremost. Otherwise, he'll hold his ground and attack skeletons that are also adjacent to Agnar but which targeted him.

Keeping his shield up and hearing Agnar take a pounding behind him, Prazil does all he can to hold his ground and defend his friend. "Kereek! We am needing Spike!"

I think Prazil would have kept little mouse-spike on his own person, but Kereek needs to dispel the spell that shrank him, right?

Nope, there's a command word and Kereek would have told Prazil what it is.

Kereek sends a sinuous line of fire through the snakes surrounding Prazil and the fallen Agnar, only the last of the undead managing to avoid the worst of the effects as the flames wend their way through the room. Prazil hammers one of the nearest ones, but it's to little effect as the blows bounce off their armor.

Across the room, the women have far more success, bringing down the swordsman in a flurry of blades and flying blood. Bah! Marcelline, however, takes another blow from the nearest skeleton 23 hp. Kat's able to spin around just in time, fending off her attacker's blow and slashing it across the ribs.

Prazil takes another blow 22 hp as the skeletons focus on the standing foes, two of them heading off toward Kereek and Fang 27 to the would-be dragon, 24 to Fang.

Prazil's AC is 34 from fighting defensively! No hits unless the dicebot feeds you up some 20's!

With Agnar down beside him, Prazil gingerly let's Spike down from his perch atop his backpack and calls out the command word Kereek taught him, "KEREEKAMTHEGREATESTKOBOLDEVER!"

As his trusted steed suddenly swells to his normal size, Prazil then leaps up into the saddle with surprising ease and grace.

Wherever there's room near Prazil that doesn't involve Agnar getting crushed to death by Spike is good enough for me as far as map placement goes. Maybe the square immediately to Prazil's left? Spike takes up a 3x3 space these days.

A brief cry escapes her but, she nods to Prazil as he leaps to his saddle, "Keep the skeletons off the old man!" She returns her attention to the skeleton in front of her.
