Marcy, you notice that Prazil is using a greatsword, not the warhammer he previously used. It seems familiar, though you don't remember exactly where from.

Prazil turns to trot off toward the deeper paths of the muck-filled warrens but stalls after a pair of steps and turns back toward his allies. "What? Why am you all for looking at Prazil like that?"

Waiting to advance, as it sounds like you've stopped Prazil from heading off on his own for the moment. I'll let you play this out more until it seems you're ready (or holler at me).

Marcelline shrugs. "Nothing. You're the one willingly using a cursed sword, and you're an adult. She trots up next to him, throwing her own two-handed sword over her shoulder.

"Prazil am using cursed sword we am not for touching. Why am Prazil touching cursed sword?!?" Kereek looks exasperated and a little worried by this.

"This?" Prazil holds up Ovinrbaane, somehow smaller than it had been in the months past. "Cursed? Cursed am bad and this sword am not bad. It am powerful weapon for stopping badguys! And it am not for doing us any good on sitting on shelf when it am wanting to help!"

Prazil then turns back toward the branching passages the boggards fled down. "Now can we be for hurrying? They could be for getting away! We am not knowing if there am more exits!"

Agnar approaches Prazil and pulls out a rolled sheet of bark, runs a finger along the pattern drawn upon it, and then reaches out and touches Prazil's forehead.

"Prazil, put down the sword for just a moment."

EDIT: forgot the crunch:

If Prazil puts down the sword:

"You are free. Do not put it once more into your hands. Your path to power lies elsewhere. For now, let me wrap it up carefully and we'll continue on." Agnar does so.

If Prazil doesn't put down the sword:

"By Gozreh's green testicles! You maddening..." Agnar trails off and sighs. "We'll discuss this later, if you're lucky enough not to become thrall to this cursed blade in the meantime. Let's go."

OK, going to push forward with no change re: the sword, since the site seems to be up for the moment.

The passageway leads into a large cavern with another exiting to the northwest and southwest. The vaulted ceiling rises nearly fifteen feet high toward a leather flap leading outside. A skull-decorated throne of leather and lashed wood rests against the eastern wall, flanked by two braziers emitting a cold white light.

As you enter, a loud buzz fills your ears and you realize the space in front of you is filled with thousands of wasps, swarming around the area.

Behind them, you can dimly see several more boggards and giant frogs, including one that appears to be in charge.

All I can do for now is move, but at least I am not in the traffic jam/fatal funnel of the entry way...

Also, pretty sure I am getting the feathers stung off of my backside going through the swarms! Unless Kereek can woosh them into the memory hole!

Round 1:

Agnar: 15
Prazil: 14
Katerina: 12
Kereek: 12
Marcelline: 20

Marcy's spell enhances Kereek's own magic, and the resulting blast stuns even the kobold momentarily. The creature that appears to be the boggards' chief, at least based on his clothes, avoids the worst of it, but the wasps and frogs are incinerated and the two boggard guards clearly hurt.

Katerina dashes forward in her songbird form as Agnar tries his own magic against the chieftain -- to no avail.

Agnar strikes back with his own fire, Kereek following suit, as Katerina and Prazil close in, the kobold striking with his hammer.

She's able to use the momentum to get into position, landing on the far side of the creatures and resuming her usual form.

The nearest guard turn to her and sets to end her threat, jabbing with his trident again and slashing with his axe 17 hp, while the other focuses on Prazil 12 hp.

The chieftain steps back, away from Katerina they ignore the difficult terrain, and quickly croaks out another spell -- and the cavern suddenly floods, water rushing to the cavern's top. Katerina reaches out with her free hand and grabs tge boggard by the strap around his chest. When the beasty rears back away from her she springs up with its momentum, and bounds over it, getting between the two remaining boggards, and slashing down as a thank you tge boggard she vaulted over.

Round 4:

Agnar: 15
Prazil: 14
Katerina: 12
Kereek: 12
Marcelline: 20
Antagonists: 20

As Katerina dispatches the last of the boggard guards, the other four concentrate their attention on the chieftain, the weight of the blows taking their toll and hammering him to the ground. After a few moments, you realize he's dead and the fight is over.

Around you, you hear croaks of dismay, and see a couple boggards who had been watching from another tunnel turn and flee.
