So, in posting order, by my reckoning, Grommund took out the twig blight in front of him. Tae took out 3 of the 4 in front of Klor. Larry took out the 4th one in front of Klor. Then both Klor and Zarrick whiffed swinging at a critter that was already down.

Tae runs forward and points her blackened arms forward and flames lick along the skin, and rush outward in a fan of flames that engulf the three closest stick creatures. in front of her. They look at her and their eyes show pain as they are burnt to cinders.

Grommund see's the Twig-Creature in front of him and the ones nearby burnt to the ground and see's hes in range of arrows right now, rushes across the cavern to get behind a rocky outcropping that sjhields him from bow shots, and also puts him adjacent to one of the twig creatures. unfortunately that required a double move, so no attack. save the roll and the damage for the next creature you engage.

Larry runs over in front of Tae and Erky and swats down the Twig Creature there saying over his shoulder to Tae "Now who's taking risks?"

Ekan moves forward and then nudges the dancing light forward a tiny bit, before firing off a nother ray of frost. It hits the wall of the cave near Klor's elbow though.

Klor swings his axe clumsily as he tries to pull the shield from his back and slide it on his arm.

Zarrick comes up next to Klor and swings his mace, missing.

Erky pokes at the creautre with his spear. attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 vs AC 13. He also misses.

The twig Blight looks at his three opponents who it attacks. 1 Klor 2 Zarrick 3 Erky: 1d3 ⇒ 1 and continues to attack the Dwarf. attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 vs AC 21 and cannot even begin to get close to penetrating the armor.

Further in, the Twig Creature next to Grommund attacks with hardened fingertips dripping greenish sap. attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14 vs AC 17. He nimbly avoids the assault.

The next volley of arrows fly all targeting the closest they can see, Larry. attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 vs AC 15 confirm crit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 damage: 5d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 1, 4) = 11 2d4 for the two hits 3d4 for the confirmed crit. Three of the arrows stuck in him. on in his arm, one in his thigh. The third into his shoulder, deep enough to cause Larry to stumble a step.

The missing Bugbear, bloodied and clutching his scythe appears on the scene moving to the right and the Goblin who had run off in the first room heads to the left.

Another Twig Blight lurches onto the scene heading towards the right side of the cavern.

Finally a bat the size of a small housedog appears landing in one of the small white trees and surveys the battlefield. rut rot

Any chance you could switch to posting the images on another site, Google docs perhaps? (I know I can access that) I've tried accessing the site from a Chinese IP address, and one in Los Angeles, both aren't working for me. I've got no desire to keep playing if I can't see the map. I'm not sure what changed from before that makes me unable to get there, but it's driving me crazy.

Male Human Adept/2

Nice heal roll Tae!

Male Human Fighter (Polearm Master) 2

Heh. That puts Larry back to fully stupid, if my math is right.

Tae gives Larry a touch that heals some of the damage done by the more serious arrow wound and then steps back around the corner of a piece of cavern wall that juts out.

Zarrick shatters the twig creature with his mace and moves up next to Larry eyeing his wounds with a trained look.

Ekan directs the light forward then moves to join the others Remember it takes concentration to manuever the lights, so on rounds you do that, you can only take a single action. The lights wink out of existence next round so if you want them up you'll have to redo the dancing light s spell.

Seeing the way clear of twig creatures and seeing one straight up next to Gerommund, Klor lets out a battle cry Arrrggggg and rushes across the cavern floor swinging his axe down, splitting the creature into kindling.

Larry rushes past Klor and Grommund and once more destroys a walking plant creature. muttering along the way "Ung. Ahh. AHHH! Ohhh. Thank you. Whose idea was this again? This SUCKS!" "This is SO gonna hurt . .

Erky knowing this is a critical part of the battle and not wanting to be left behind, invokes the power of The Longstrider and his pace seems to lengthen as he runs to catch up with Larry. cast Lontstrider- 2 hours of 30' movement

Grommund seeing what Larry is doing, and realizing they need to split the archers shots, moves quickly around the corner and along the wall until he comes up next to a Goblin Warrior, standing with shaky hands holding a sword.

another Goblin joined his comrade and attacked Grommund with their short swords attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 vs AC 17 such was their fear of the ghost white dwarf, theat their hands continued to shake and they missed their mark.

Two of the archers following the command of the central Bugbear, fired at Klor, and two fired at Larry. attack Klor: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 attack Klor: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 vs AC 21 attack Larry: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 attack Larry: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 vs AC 15

This time all of the arrows bounced harmlessly off the floor and walls.

The bugbear barked orders and two of the Goblins broke from cover and headed deeper into the cave, while their camrads shifted over 5 feet, and the Bugbear issuing orders backed up a few feet to stop beneath the tree The dog-size bat had landed in.

The bat's eyes glowed and it seemed to be moving its mouth as it eyed the area the party was in and something strange began to occur, the air seemed charged with energy perception checks DC 20

for a 10 foot square area about 10 feet away from Larry in the center of the cave diagonally from him, spiders of all assortment seemed to be gathering....

Time for more stupid! Why? Because anything else is probably actually MORE risky!

Percpetion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Of course he's oblivious.

Larry lowers the spear in his hands and charges forward, focusing on skewering the bugbear in reach. He finds the bugbear an easy enough target, with his spear-tip slicing across the creatures gut, leaving a clean cut which slowly spreads open . . .. As the creature falls, Larry looks to his left, makes an ugly face, and, well, roars at the goblins.

since Klor did not notice the forming spider mass and there is a bugbear in his darkvision range. by my count I believe I can reach the bugbear at P16 with a charge (ending in square o15) but will go through the massing spiders so wondering if that is possible? otherwise I will have a different action

Yes Its possible Klor, for they wont be a swarm until The enemies round. I did that more for effect 'cinematically' if you will.

so everyone make sure you take this rounds action, the perception is just so you can react to the swarm before it appears....if you did not notice you dont know. if you did you can alert others and begin precautions.

Tae runs forward across the cavern floor moving to the otherside by Klor.

Grommund quickly dispatches one of the Goblins facing him.

Zarrick begins to run getting close to Grommund...Spirit on his shoulder flaps his wings agitatedly his head swiveling to watch the spiders gather.

Larry rushes right through the area spiders are gathering, a couple squishing beneath his boots, until he reaches the wounded bugbear from earlier and he skewers him on his spear.

Klor charges forward yelling right you tight-assed s$*+ey tattie bogle, time ta meet ya maker! rushes forward getting close to the bugbears, arriving a little late to kill the one that Larry was finished, but close to the other..

Ekan moves slowly forward, recasting his dancing lights.....I moved Ekan forward, hope thats not an issue. only did a single move. Rasoning is to keep him from falling too far behind.

Erky is oblivious to the gathering spiders and runs forward to the right flank to engage the Goblin their.

Suddenly it is quite apparent what has Spirit agitated as everyone notices the writhing carpet of spiders....easily more than a thousand of the small arachnids. As one they turn and begin to move towards the closest to them, Klor and Larry....Hundreds of spiders crawling over them quickly, biting, getting into armor, over arms and faces crawling in ears...trying to get in eyes...its horror.....

The Bugbear Leader grips his scythe, as he eyes both Larry and Klor, but obeys his directives and backs up to protect the master...

The two remaining archers on the walls, flee, retreating back to join their comrades.

The two swordsmen withdraw from their opponents....

To hit light crossbow: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
If hits dmg is 1d6 ⇒ 2

Getting closer doesn't seem to help, the halfling's shot whisks over the head of his target. But maybe others will at least be able to strike two of the goblins more easily

Grommund follows the fleeing Goblins with care...

Tae runs up to Grommunds side of the defensive position.

Larry runs out of the spider swarm a few of the bugs clinging to him as he ran. The spider bites itching. He muttered "Don't know how long I can keep doing this.." as he plunged his spear into the Goblin Fighter dropping another.

Zarrick runs up between the defensies, getting dangerously close to the swarm of spiders and smacks the Goblin swordsman with his mace.

Spirit, seeing how close the mass of spiders are, leaves Zarricks shoulder for almost the first time since he joined the group...he flaps his wings silently..effortlessly and lands in a nearby white limbed phosphorescent tree.

Klor yells at Larry You even think of taking that Bugbear on I had better be dead first! and runs forward on his stunty Dwarven legs, right past the Goblin Zarrik had just hit, eliciting a a swing from the Goblins blade attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 vs AC 21 which was easily blocked aside, to plant his axe deep in the side of the Bugbear.

Ekan moves the man-like figure of lights and moves forward himself.

With his newly summoned movement, Erky runs past Larry and swapping bow for spear, he moves quickly towards the Goblin Archers closing the distance....effectively stopping Laay from being turned into a pin cushion.

The swarm follows the closest living creature, which happens to be Larry....once again crawling over him and engulfing him with hundreds and hundreds of the crawling bugs...damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Larrys Poison Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Vs DC 11 The Farmer turned Paladin becomes lightheaded from the bites of literally hundreds of spiders....Larry is at 4 HP now.

The Goblin seeing the roiling mass of bugs backs away, sword held out, from Zarrick and swings his blade at Grommund attack on Grommund: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Vs AC 17 but he is so rattled from seeing the hundreds of spiders assaulting Larry he misses his swing...

Battlefield tactics forgotten under the Assault The Bugbear swings the battlescythe at the burly dwarf attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 vs AC 21, and this time the dwarf blocks the attack....

The Goblins without orders, turn to baser instincts and fdrop their bows and move to attack the Gnome attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 vs AC 15 confirm crit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 The Goblin coming up on Erky's flank, stabbed the gnome hard in the side, the blow being partially deflected by armor...but injuring the Cleric anyway...

The Bat that is Belak, flew back into the cave and landed in a tree, maintaining control of the spider swarm...

"Nope. That's about it. Gotta pull back." Larry tries to advertise his move so that his companions can consider it before they keep charging deeper into the now obvious trap . . .. He throws the spear he's holding into the mass of ranged combatants obscured in the darkness which surrounds the group before moving to the side for cover, and a chance at some healing.

I warned ya I was commin fer ya, ya wet s+~+ey choochter! Stated Klor as he brought his axe around for a second strike, slcing open the Bugbears leg.

Grommund stepped from around the corner of the cave and swung his axe, it missed the spry Goblin, clanging against the rock as it past the humanoid.

Tae steps around the protruding battlements and motions for Larry to get clear as she pulls out a flask of Alchemists Fire.

"Nope. That's about it. Gotta pull back." Mutteres Larry as he wavered on his feet from his wounds...Throwing one of his spears first at the Goblins to his front, it skittered on the floor ahead. snapping the tip....make sure you mark off that spear. Spears are no different than arrows when used as missiles. Miss theyre lost. hit they can be recovered. Then he turned and ran over behind Tae.Spiders falling from him as he went, just to rejoin the swarm...

Tae spared no time waiting and the bottle she held into the swarm ranged touch to hit a square: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 [vs AC 5 -4 for range increment = 11 vs 5 success! The bottle struck the ground of the cavern busting open and spewing flames throughout the swarm, igniting and killing hundreds of the spiders. The swarm was still present through not as many were present when the flames died out.

Ekan moved forward, pausing to direct his lights further into the cave...

Zarrick glanced at the spiders behind him nervously and took a chance,, running past the Goblin who stabbed as he went attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Vs AC 13 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 the sword pierced his calf as he moved past, leaving a trickle of blood. The Lay Priuest moved past the swarm and came up next to Klor, swinging his mace at The Bugbear attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 vs AC 14 damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8. The mace cavedf the skull of the Bugbear in, splattering brain matter on all adjacent. Zarrick looked at Klors scowling face and shrugged with a half smile.

Erky P16took a side step between two goblins and stabbed with his spear attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs AC 14 missing

The Goblin armed with a sword foiught Grommund even as he nervously eyed the Swarm attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 vs AC 17 the distraction proving to be too much for him.

The Goblins moved to surround Erky again, all flanking him. attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 vs AC 15. Small swords nicking his arms damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
