Grommund kills the unconscious goblin to his front and moves forward slowly through the thick mushrooms.
Ekan moves slowly through the thick mesh of toadstools as well until he comes to the wall of the room and then he stops looking at Grommund as he tells him he cant cast that bedazzlement again.
Klor stands up , blood still dripping off his armor, though none of it is fresh.
Zarrick calls upon the healing powers of the Dawnflower again and heals Klor a small bit.
Larry hears Grommund and Klor talk about chasing them down and he plunges ahead into the strangely lit hall with glowing lichen along the walls and he catches the first fleeing goblin fairly quickly and stabs at it with his spear. attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Vs AC 14 damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, and rips open a severe gash in the goblins neck and a gout of blood fountains over the youth as the Goblin falls to the ground. I realized you didnt see youd runs past it with your move so I hope you dont mind me adjusting it for you.
Tae not wanting Larry to be out there alone follows
Erky Calls upon the drunken God to heal Klors wounds and touches his side cure light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 and as more heal he turns and waddles off after the others.
and The Goblins prepare to defend.......
I know there's no combatants around, and If you choose to not give chase I will move to non-combat posting...however the bad guys are going on alert now, and Im beginning to move them as they find out. So for this moment Im staying with combat turns..... and yes there is a reason I left up the stats ;) and as time goes on Ill be adding more....

Klor Kragsson |

Klor looks thankful to those that healed him. thanks fer bringin' me back from moradin's forge, I doubt he woul approve a me fallin' ta a bugbear.
Klor looks to Ekan no worries there half pint, never met a halfling dat was destined to fall in battle
before Ekan can really protest about the half-pint comment Hey you said stop callin ya Peck.
Klor readies his weapon and heads down the hallway hoping to catch up with the bugbear that keeps ruinin' his day.

Tae |

Tae follows the others, softly voicing the opinion that giving chase without knowing what is to come might be precipitous. When she sees Larry peek cautiously around the corner instead of simply tearing forward she is heartened and relieved somewhat.

GMMichael |

The party heads down the hall Larry pausing to peek around the corner. Erky stops to cast a spell of healing on Klor as he comes closer. cure light: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 You really need to be more careful Klor, I am not an endless healing source he says with a wink.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Goblins take up a defensive position, while some go to tell Belak.

GMMichael |

as Larry advances slowly the others following after just a few feet a closed door appears on his left at the end of his vision...a few more feet and an open door appears and a Goblin is standing outside looking down the hall.
The Goblin raises a bow and fires an arrow at Larry attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 vs AC 15, and it harmlessly skitters off the wall. Then the goblin darts back in the room.

Klor Kragsson |

thanks fer the advice there Erky Klor's tone suggest he will most likely do the same thing again if given the chance.
Klor moves up beside Larry.
perhaps some flush out the varmits from the first room while the others take on the rest further down. but leave dat bugbear ta me. I gots several scores to settle

GMMichael |

Before I post up the next round I need to know what your intent is. If you see Goblins in the open door, A) pause and back up to the first quare they cant see you at? B) Move in to engage C) Hold in position in the doorway until everyone catches up. Because Larry could close with Goblins this turn, He couldnt take an attack but he could close.

Tae |

axe them what?... ok bad ebonics joke... sorry

Larry_Andoran |

My goal would be to hold the goblins peeking at us with bows at bay while we double check to make sure the door behind us isn't going to dump more goblins up our collective arse. Lawful Good Paladin doesn't mean STUPID. Int 8 is a good start towards it, though . . ..
So, I would be looking at going to S2 so somebody could check the door behind me. Might as well take it all the way to T2, then, shouldn't I? Get an AoO if anybody tries something . . ..

GMMichael |

The Brambles in the center- are hindering terrain for movement in addition if you fail a save DC 14 Reflex you take 1d3 damage as the thorns tear into you. Count any square as a Bramble square if it has more than 50% of it covered in them.
The small tree like obstacles in the cavern provide cover and are hindering terrain to move through. The Cavern floor is rough and broken so no charging on it or running
Larry heads forward with a purpose, stopping to peer into the room the goblin ran into, he is met with a volley of arrows from a number of goblins arrayed in the doorway to a large cave. Another Bugbear carrying a scythe seems to be directing them. This one is unhurt. Two Goblins with sword and shield stand to the sides of a mass of tangled thorny brambles growing in the center of the room.
As The Goblins fire a volley they pull back into the Cave.

Tae reaches forward and touches Larry gently with her blackened hand, chanting a few ancient words.
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

GMMichael |

"Die ye wee evil bastards!" Screams Grommund as he runs into the room, making sure to shield himself in the corner from arrows.
Larry jumped backwards saying "Ow! Dang it! Bunch of 'em!"
Ekan moved forward cautiosuly, creating an image of a man of light in the doorway.
Tae Heals Larry of 3
Klor moves up to the first door and tries the handle, finding to be locked. Disable Device 30 or Strength Check 25 to force
Zarrick moves up and jumps behind the open door pointing the crossbow around it and sighting in on one of the Goblins with swords. His crossbow, plunges into the forearm of the Goblin and it howls in pain.
Erky moves to Back up Grommund.
The Bugbear issues commands and the Goblins fall back 30 feet and turn readying to fire.....
and somewhere in the caves a Bugbear and a Goblin continue to move towards their master.

Grommund Geargrip |

Grommun runs around the corner after the goblins, following the wall. "We got 'em now!" he says madly.
Move along wall to B5 I believe. Forget what I need to roll for the bramble thingy, assuming a reflex save.
Ref save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
or
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Tae |

Tae follows and enters the room, like Ekan, staying near the wall and avoiding the brambles.

Klor Kragsson |

klor here trying to decide what to do
Klor moves his way along the back wall pulling out his light crossbow and taking aim at a goblin.
move to F6 and fire at the goblin in T6
ranged attack vs AC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
But the brambles caught the bolt before even reaching the target.

Larry_Andoran |

Shaking his head even as he moves, Larry risks being a target and walks around behind the tree, going ot the opposite wall and starting ot slide towards the enemy.
--
Double move around the back. I think he can get to I10. Yes, it includes some diagonal movement.

GMMichael |

Grommund gives chase, leaping over extended branches of the bramble yelling "We got 'em now!". Grommund moves all the way up until hes next to one of the Goblins Swordsmen B5 wouldve put you back out in the hall the wrong direction for giving chase. From the 'words used I figured you are all about closing with them, and moved you along the wall as far as you could. so S5 on the last map.
Ekan moves up to the doorway and then concentrates to moves his collection of dancing lights forward around the far side of the bramble.
Tae cautiously moves forward staying near the wall and moving forward occupying the spot where Grommund had been but seconds before. She hears Grommund grunt in pain.
Klor comes in, bringing his crossbow to bear and firing. The bolts gets stuck in the branches of one of the pale white glowing trees in the cave. dont forget move of 20' not 30' so couldnt get to F6. But still had line of sight to fire.
Larry quickly crosses behind the brambles to the other side. From his vantage point he can see Grommund far into the cave closing on a Goblin Swordsmen Two arrows stick out from his body, attesting to the marksmenship of the Goblin Warriors.
Zarrick moves forward behind the Brambles and fires a crossbow as well. It too gets blocked by those pale white trees.
Running as fast as his little legs can go, Erky follows after Grommund.
The Bugbear gives command
and the Goblins archers having fired already, turn and move backwards but when they turn, they have not nocked an arrow this time. The Goblin swordsmen both back up 30 feet and ready to defend.
*Deep in the cave complex Belak see's approaching runners coming and moves towards them to hear what brings them.*

Grommund Geargrip |

Grommund grunts in pain as the arrows pierce him. He's finally come into reach of the goblins though, and he's not giving up now. Ye'll have ter kill me, ye damned dirty gobbo s#&~s!
He gathers his stumpy dwarven legs under him and charges forward, to swing his axe down on the first goblin in the group of archers.

"Gonna get yourself killed like that!" Larry tries to scuttle ahead, hoping to help Grommund survive his foolishness, but finds he's just not able to keep up. Going around cost him too much time.

Double move to (I think) N9 or O9 (based on whether the travel goes through difficult terrain or not).

Larry_Andoran |

The retreating ranged volley is a pretty effective tactic. Combine that with a narrow access path, side passages and the potential for reinforcements to join form the sides/rear of the enemy being drawn deeper into your territory and it is an almost guaranteed destruction of the opponent. This was actually one of the commonly reused tactics of the Mongolian Hoards. Heck, the Mongolian Hoard "rabbits" actually had spare horses staged so that they could swap animals and stay more mobile than they people they were pulling into the trap.
