"D'ya hear that lads, Off-Worlder here reckins he can get by without paying his toll!!!"
The laughter, from several unseen figures, echoes across the bridge before the first man to speak restates the levy, "Here in the Barony of Merebec, we look after our own... you off-worlders, first time through.... you pay".
Moving unseen towards the bridge, Rikkan can easily see four half-orcs - all wielding bows - hidden behind the ramparts of the structure... as to whether any of them are spellcasters, it seems unlikely.
Palomia sighs as the individuals on the bridge prove to be unimpressed by Zoreck's threats. "Dammit it to hell, we're going to have to kill everyone again aren't we?" she mutters to herself as she glances over her shoulder at Rav.

Drancis glances back at the ratfolk who just vanished from sight before turning his attention to the figures up on the rampart, already calculating how close he needed to get to bring his powers to bear.
Overhearing Palomia's exclamation he gives her an irritated look, "What, did you think this would be some sort of pleasure jaunt? This place...this whole world is dying, if not dead...and I, for one, have no wish to join these people in their dying throes!"
"No, but it'd be nice to go one day without having to kill enough people to populate a small village, either," Palo hisses back, matching Drancis' irritated expression.

Rav shows off a lot of teeth in a smile that's a foot wide, with 5 times the teeth that Zoreck has. "Rav not scary at all, Rav never been scary in his life." Rikkan stayed invisible and silent. He was waiting for the upcoming boom.
Zoreck's continued threats do little more than move things towards their inevitable conclusion... an arrow whistling from the farthest of the rooftops and thudding into the floor at Zoreck's feet, "We warned you off-worlders!!! Gave you every opportunity to do this the peaceful way..."
Need to know if Rav's mythic range is working or not? Never got a firm response on whether he and Palo had acclimated since they'd been here since they left GarSilt or not.

Re: Rav's question: The Mythic path ability Limitless Range does not require spending a use of Mythic Power: you just have greatly extended range on all ranged attacks. It was unclear from your description if Mythic abilities that do not require a use of Mythic Power were affected.
Seeing the talking cat take off (and hopefully drawing some fire), Zoreck shouts, "For Kurgess!!" and runs into the fortress, taking some cover from the wall behind him. While running, he takes a pot-shot at the guard in the tower to the north of his position.
What Zoreck said, still unclear if it's only abilities that require expenditure, or if it's all mythic abilities. The reason I ask is, since we always were here, then if that's the case, that nothign works no matter what, then Palo & Rav don't know they have mythic abilities.
Rav...actually has a really good point, since in this timeline Rav and Palo ended up here from Garsilt instead of the planet where Zel-Argose is, if I understand correctly. I'm happy to roll with however you'd like to rule this, Zed :)

Okay cool, I understand now... clarification: While the features of their Morphic Nature feat and hard to kill ability remain intact, players can no longer create a mythic surge or activate any mythic path abilities dependent on uses of mythic power.
Paloma / Relas and Ravboom - that's a good point about not having made the Garsilt to Argosa gate journey... but the transition through any gate is what makes the characters mythic so they both have their mythic tier... they just haven't experienced the full effect yet!!!

Rav brings the rifle into view, and aims at the farthest archer. "Told you talk to Palo, stupid..."

And on another note: My wife and I are heading out on some serious traveling for the holidays, flying out Tuesday. My posting rate will be rather sporadic until after the New Year.

Burn 0/6; Buffer 1/1; Surge 5/5; Hero Point: 3
I believe the plan is to stop by Rexel's place so Zoreck can gather ammo for his gun. Then on to the Manor.
We should move all the folks to one location. My recommendation is the Harpy. Perhaps Silas can help us escort the others here as I think we are running out of time here...
Male Ratfolk Mythic (Trickster 1) Preservationist 5 | AC (22)18/15/15 | HP 47/47 | F+7,R+8,W+3 | (+2 on saves vs. poison) | Init. +3 | Perc. + 11 | 20' Movement | Darkvision | 5/5 Hero points | 10 bombs a day | 5 Mythic power uses per day
I agree with Drancis and Zoreck. Get the whole group together, leave them somewhere safe, let Zoreck make some powder, and then we go find almighty Vuelib.
Cool, sort out anything you need to in the Gameplay thread and I'll make a GM post (probably tomorrow - it's been a long day!!!) that moves you on to the Manor...
Happy tidings... The corpulent beast that is the Blight was born upon this day, the 12th of January... All that awaits to be seen now is how far into our world this diseased beast may come...
Or... Richard Pett's Kickstarter for 'The Blight' funded today - there are five more days for the campaign to reach various stretch goals. Mr Pett is the warped mind behind many Pathfinder products... This may yet be his most insidious...

Zed, I beg you to run the Blight for us. I'd kick in extra and get you one of the add on modules if you'd be willing to run us through Pett's mad realm.
Edit: or same offer to any of you itching to run this sucker, if Zed wants to play. I'll get you an add on module if you run for us.
Well, I’m already in for all of the modules – and, absolutely, I will run something here on the boards!!! It’s a monster undertaking though – the planned book is enormous (900 pages or so – half Campaign Setting and half AP) so I will have to spend a little bit of time immersing myself in the book before deciding exactly what to run… assuming it doesn’t drive me to insanity!!!
Rikkan, if you want to help out one of the other folks here – and if they’re willing to commit to running a module that you’d pay for, then I’d be super-pleased to see more funds going towards the Campaign… we’re nearly at the second stretch goal (campaign maps) – and after that the first additional module is only an additional 2k away….
Astraea and Illonna – for your delectation…
The Blight - Richard Pett's Crooked City
"...You've just entered the wrong side of town..."
What exactly is The Blight, you ask? The Blight is a lot of different things to a lot of people. At its most basic level, it is the next portion of the Lost Lands campaign setting to be revealed by Frog God Games, a darkly medieval, urban horror setting that crouches on the western coast of Akados far from the other lands revealed in the Lost Lands so far--an ugly, misshapen twin who glares across the continent at its sibling on the opposite side with envy and hatred in its eyes...and not a little bit of madness.
The Blight is a mega-campaign book and adventure path along the lines of Frog God Games releases like Sword of Air, The Slumbering Tsar Saga, The Northlands Saga Complete, and Cults of the Sundered Kingdoms. And like those books it includes both a vast compendium of gazetteer information about the area it covers as well as adventure, adventure, adventure!! Clocking in at over 550,000 words, The Blight is also the single-largest print product ever produced by Frog God Games...surpassing even the might of the The Slumbering Tsar Saga in its magnitude. Though it has not been through layout yet, so that a page count is an estimate at best, we anticipate that this book will be at or around 900 pages in length.
The Blight is two books in one with the first half devoted to a campaign guide with a complete history, timeline, and overview of the city as well as new classes, players options, and races, along with a detailed gazetteer of each of the city's 13 districts. The last half comprises the adventure path, Levee, a campaign set within the rotten and degenerate urban confines of the city, where the PCs must scratch and claw their way to survival starting at 1st level and continuing through 9 adventures -- each one highlighting a different city district -- all the way to 10th level and above. The book also includes a player-friendly, full-colour poster map of the city to enhance everyone's enjoyment of the place.
