Last First Steps Trilogy (Inactive)

Game Master Bearded Ben

Current Combat Map

Who's interested in playing part of the First Steps series of Pathfinder Society scenarios? If you are, do you have any specific one in mind?

Liberty's Edge

I would love to start at the beginning.

I am interested. However only having just now capped the iceburg of the Society I've no idea where the whole shebang STARTS. First Steps - Part 1, in Service to Lore, perhaps?

Did I mention I'm interested?

I'd love to play, having yet to have a chance to play a PFS game via PbP.

Liberty's Edge

I have first level ranger that would be interested if needed to fill out a table in either ofn the first 2 parts. (He will have GM credit for part 3, so cannot play that one).

I'd be interested. Sounds like a good introduction to both PFS and PbP.

I am interested as well... that said, brand new to the game (only experience with anything remotely similar was playing Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2... solo I might add) and waiting for my books to get here. So please bear with me if I ask a lot of questions in a sidebar.

Roland, First Steps can be played over and over, as far as I know. So even with the GM credit, it doesn't matter. Be sure to check it out.

Silver Crusade

Would like to play. Quite new to PFS.

Female human Divine Hunter here.
Full sheet and some backstory will go up in a few hours.

I had assumed that you couldn't have both player and GM credit for the same scenario on a character, but I can't find a rule prohibiting that.

I'll probably play a bard, or possibly a rogue/spellcaster mix. I'll post some fluff for him tomorrow/Friday.

I'd love to play in the First Steps scenario. I could pull something together fairly quickly.

Everyone who's interested should create an alias with a stat block/character sheet on it (or a link to a character sheet elsewhere online) by Saturday. (Roland's is a good example of what I'm looking for).

If you haven't already read/skimmed the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, do so.

@The "Emerald" Duke Virden: You can read the main Pathfinder books online at Paizo's Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Reference Document.

@Sierra Guisarde: This game will be covering the same scenarios that your game with Shifty is covering. First Steps is, however, an exception to the rules about replaying scenarios, so I leave it up to your best judgement whether you wish to play it twice nearly simultaneously.

Need to make some fluff... and need some clarification on traits/feats. But here is a link to the cavalier I'd want to use as I have him so far: http://paizo.com/people/AlexosVirden
@ GM Mother May I?: Any particular restrictions on using rules from things like the Advanced Player Guide? (want to use one of the alternate abilities for Half-Elves from it).

*Apparantly no link... but you should be able to get there if you copy and paste... or if you search for Alexos Virden in the search bar...

PFS's restrictions are found in Additional Resources. Short answer, there's only a handful of things from the APG that aren't allowed, and Half-Elven stuff isn't on that list.

If you look below the box you type in, there's something that says "How to format your text" which shows nearly every thing you can do to text on these forums. How to make links is one of them.

That reminds me, here's a helpful guide to PbPs

What is the deal with PFS exactly? I keep seeing these references to "GM credit" and such...I originally thought it was just a set of "house rules", banning or clarifying certain rules.

Care to give a short explanation? Im honestly just looking to play games, not get into all sorts of GM swapping and what have you.

Silver Crusade

Yes I realize they are the same three and have no problem playing the same thing twice. They seem the easiest way to get started in PFS for lvl 1.

Sorry I didn't realize there was a rule about playing with two different characters at a time in PBP. I thought it was only that you couldn't play 2 modules at the same time with 1 character, which is why I'm creating Sierra.

Just passing thru to say Best GM name EVA and ...

Aarvid, a character called Roland Garros? Lol

Silver Crusade

I would love the chance to kick off my first PFS character in this. Consider me interested.

Funnily enough, I recently built a character sheet for this express purpose! That purpose being the Pathfinder society. Bought all the stuff using standard starting gold/rules/etcetera.

Crazy world, huh?

You can't apply a player chronicle and a GM chronicle to the same character. First Steps is replayable as a GM or character, but the chronicles must be assigned to different PCs

Silver Crusade

Sheet and backstory added. :)

Grand Lodge

I would be interested. I got a guy that's done fs1 but I can make a new one if that's needed

Grand Lodge

I would be interested in starting at the beginning with Krim.

Sounds like fun

Silver Crusade

Dotting for a Dwarven Summoner

Silver Crusade

Finishing off the sheet. Need to add items feats and traits, but think I have the rest (correct me if I am wrong though)

Character Link:

I made Kallan here for a AdvPath that unfortunately never got up and running. Still love the concept of a shady thief with a pointy knife.

He surely would join the pathfinder society of multiple reasons for examble the travels or simply for at warm bed.

Anyway Kallan Viper is ready to take the first few steps into the large world of the Pathfinder Society.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 8

Hi all,

I'm interested in this. I've been meaning to get started on PFS for a while and this seems a great way to get into it.

I've got an idea for an Osiriani sorcerer that might fit in quite nicely with the team that's assembling. I'll stick him up shortly.

Grand Lodge

I forgot that I have a gunslinger pfs made up already also. This is zen alshear

Grand Lodge

Capricornus presenting Marla Gunddur, Dwarven Summoner and her Eidolon, Brak Gunddur, ancestral spirit of her clan.

Scarab Sages

Proioxis here. Finally got this finished. Would've posted him earlier but I had a few kinks to work out.

The Exchange

Worth noting, I believe parts I and II are set to expire in the fall. It may be wiser to play those first, then get back to part I.

I have this character I rolled up and have been eager to play. Check him out for errors if you would.

It's parts 2 and 3, and I think they're being dropped in August. It's up to the players which we do. (Part 2 is a dungeon, part 3 is a mostly wilderness adventure.)

Liberty's Edge

If we've not done part 1, is that a problem?

Not at all.

The Exchange

Self be bringing spirit of Exalted Nagas to your workings. Success is assured!

Avatar has details. Nagaji (I have the boon). Naga Aspirant (race specific archtype of the druid class). Brand new character since I go the boon.
However, I have played PFS and PbP before. So I think priority should go to those who have not played PFS at all.
If you still have openings after that though, I'd like to get this guy started.

Recruitment has ended. Could the following please post in the discussion thread? Anyone who hasn't checked in by Tuesday at the latest will be dropped and a replacement picked.

Forthepie aka Halkale Timarson
Proioxis aka Abasi Essa
Chad from the Ville aka Adakos Wraithbane
Zen Al'Shear aka Alonzo Silver tongue
DickovDK aka Kallan Viper
Deckhart aka William MacKay / Stranger

@Deckhart: could you create an alias for William MacKay?

Fraid I am going to have to withdraw my application. My internet dropped in stability sharply (it has taken me 6 tries in the last 14 hours just to log on to post this) and as a result I could not, in good conscience, steal a spot from someone who could actually be better connected. Y'all have my best wishes in your upcoming adventure... give'm hell for me!
Respectfully,
The Emerald Duke Virden

The Exchange

All y'all have fun!
