Welcome to the character building lounge for PF2 edition of Rise of the Runelords. I anticipate running the hard-bound anniversary edition with, perhaps, a few variations along the way.

Invites were sent to those who expressed interest, but we may opt into other players as the build rules are rather strict.

Be forewarned, super esoteric builds or exotic combinations of feats, skills, weapons, are not what I am looking for. Ideally, players could play a set of pregens and make the game interesting through role-play, character development, and interaction. Standard character build rules apply with few exceptions. If you are not interested in moving forward, that's fine, there will others who are.

Common ancestry preferred, uncommon ancestry may be allowed if the build makes sense for the character and the story. Rare or other ancestries will not move forward. Any Paizo published content (no 3PP allowed) is acceptable, but unique and strange items and choices require a backstory and a build that is thematically integral. This should not be thought of as a mechanical character building exercise, but a character development one. Choose things that you can play well with others or help further the story, not the most esoteric concept you can imagine.

I will allow Free Archetype but the concept behind it should already be well established at the outset, or developed in-game via characterization before choices are made. That is the only optional rule allowed at present.

Posting expectations are once per day and once per weekend. More is better, to some extent. I usually update each game once, sometimes more per day. In order to make game flow well, I Will bot missing players during combat with no post within 24 hours

If you have questions, please ask away.

Absolutely fine with those build parameters.

What expectations do you have for this “lounge”? That we post concepts/ancestries/classes etc? And then how does the selection process proceed?

6 invitations were sent. There is a back up list if some choose not to join. If you wish to proceed, tell us about your concept, don't have to fully develop it. The party should consider the inherent strengths and weaknesses of the others as they create their own concept. Don't need to see full details (can if you want) but concept, backstory you are comfortable sharing, and sketches of where you want to go with it.

Make sure your concept ties to the setting. Here are the campaign specific backgrounds. You don't have to choose one, but it is a good way to tie in thematically right away.

Eager Performer: Hearing that Sandpoint had a theater rivaling those found in large cities like Magnimar and Korvosa, you decided to try your luck getting stage time there. After sending a letter to Cyrdak Drokkus requesting an audition and not hearing back, you've taken it upon yourself to travel to Sandpoint and meet him in person, trusting your force of will and charming influence will get you what you want.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Charisma or Dexterity, the other is free. You also gain the Fascinating Performance skill feat, and are trained in the Performance skill and one of your choice between Music, Theatre or Entertainment Lore Skill.

Family Ties: While not ethnically a Varisian, you have been raised among Varisians and they consider you one of their own. Furthermore, you managed to get in good with a group of Sczarni and consider them your new family. After being run out of the last place your Sczarni family camped, you tracked down a friend of the family in Sandpoint—a ruthless thug named Jubrayl Vhiski at the Fatman's Feedbag. During your time with the Sczarni, you learned a few tricks of the trade.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Wisdom or Dexterity, the other is free. You gain the Experienced Smuggler skill feat, and you are trained in the Thievery skill and the Underworld Lore Skill.

Friends and Enemies: One of your family members, perhaps a parent, cousin, aunt, or uncle, helped Daviren Hosk put down a group of goblins near Sandpoint. Since then, your family member passed away, but not before telling you about that day and the offer Daviren made her should she ever be in need. Once you make it to Sandpoint and meet up with Daviren Hosk at the Goblin Squash Stables, he gives you one of his best steeds and all the necessary accoutrements as gratitude for your family member's help. He also teaches you everything there's to know about goblins.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Wisdom or Strength, the other is free. You also gain the Train Animal skill feat, and you are trained in the Nature skill and the Goblin Lore skill.

Giant Slayer: Your family's village was plundered by giants in the wilds of Varisia, leaving nothing but a smoldering ruin. After the destruction of your village, your family trained for combat against giants to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. Since hearing of giants mobilizing throughout the countryside, you ventured to Sandpoint to help the town prepare for a possible incursion.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Strength or Constitution, the other is free. You gain the Titan Wrestler skill feat, you are also trained in the Athletics skill and the Giant Lore skill. {Special: The Recall Knowledge use of this Skill applies to all humanoid creatures who are size Large or larger}

Goblin Watcher: You grew up in Sandpoint staring off the cliff across the Varisian Gulf. Spending so much time there at Junker's Edge watching the goblins below as they scrounged through the discarded junk and seeing what they made out of the garbage, you developed an eye for spotting the most useful and valuable discarded items.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Wisdom or Intelligence, the other is free. You gain the Quick Identification skill feat, and you are trained in one of your choice between Arcana or Occultism and the Lore (Sandpoint) skill.

Hagfish Hopeful: Ever since passing through Sandpoint when you were a child and hearing about the contest at the popular tavern known as the Hagfish, you wanted to take that coin purse as your own and carve your name on the ceiling beam above the bar. Training yourself to choke down indigestible food and drink water a pig would refuse, you've built up quite a strong resistance to all things putrid and gross.

You gain 2 ability boosts, one must be in Constitution or Wisdom, the other is free. You gain the Natural Medicine skill feat, and are trained in the Nature skill and the Herbalism Lore skill {Special: You may use the Recall Knowledge use of this skill to recall information about specific poisons and diseases, and about certain plants.

Merchant Family: You are related to one of the four noble families from Magnimar who founded the Mercantile League of Sandpoint. You either grew up in Magnimar as a cousin in the Valdemar or Deverin family or were born and raised in Sandpoint. Education in running a business and years of looking after the family enterprise have given you a knack for trade.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Intelligence or Charisma, the other is free. You gain the Bargain Hunter skill feat, and are trained in the Diplomacy skill and the Mercantile Lore skill.

Monster Hunter: Perhaps you came to the Varisian Gulf in search of the Sandpoint Devil, or maybe you followed fisherman's tales of Old Murdermaw— regardless, you've ventured through Varisia to hunt down famous monsters. While they have all eluded you so far, you made it to Sandpoint to research and restock before heading back out into the wilderness.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Strength or Dexterity, the other is free. You gain the Intimidating Glare skill feat, and are trained in the Intimidation skill and the Monster Lore skill. {Special: The Recall Knowledge use of this skill can be used to determine information about Aberrations and Magical Beasts.}

Scholar of the Ancients: Growing up with your nose in books, you've had a great interest in past cultures and ancient history. Furthermore, having grown up in Varisia, you know the monuments dotting the landscape belong to an ancient civilization known as Thassilon. From your life of study and dogged research, you've pieced together the language and partial history of this once-great empire.

You gain 2 ability boosts. One must be either Intelligence or Charisma, the other is free. You gain the Dubious Knowledge skill feat, and you are trained in the Arcana skill and the Lore (Thassilon) skill. {Special: You gain access to the Thassilonian language.}

Student of Faith: While you have personally dedicated your life to a single deity, you study all religions and mortal faiths. Upon hearing that the town of Sandpoint recently completed a cathedral dedicated to the six deities most popular in the area, you had to see the place for yourself, and have arrived in time for the consecration of this holy edifice.

You gain 2 ability Boosts, one must be either Constitution or Wisdom, the other is free. You gain the Student of the Canon skill feat and are trained in the Religion skill and the Lore skill of your chosen Deity {for example if you worship Desna, then you would get Desna Lore as the skill}.

By invitation only at this point. If the original 6 decline to proceed, we will open to others on a select basis.

Understood.

Dot. Thank you!

Thanks for the invite! Let’s see what I can come up with. Does anyone have any solid ideas on a character/concept?

Landed! Thank you for the invitation DM DoctorEvil - I see a lot of familiar faces. Good to be on board.

I am a fantastic noob when it comes to PF2e, so I was planning on going with something very simple - a basic Fighter.

And since I already have one which took me ages to put together, maybe I can reuse it? :D

Telurion, the Fighter

If I remember correctly, the plan was that at level 2 he would grab the Champion (Paladin) Dedication. So even though he is not a Desna follower, I kinda like a mix between having the flavor of Friends and Enemies, and Student of Faith.

He has taken the Core background Raised by Belief, so it seems fitting.

I am also a PF2 noob.

Probably going to play a Cleric. Will delve into Player Core today to start putting something together.

Thanks for the invite. I'm still interested. I usually play casters of some sort so I'll probably play a wizard, sorcerer, or magus.

Sounds good, I’m thinking rogue with the merchant family background (and perhaps the monk or martial artist archetype). Painting in broad brushstrokes I see her as being related to the Kaijitsu family, probably raised in another city, and fleeing to her relatives in Sandpoint. Still not sure what she is running from (arraigned marriage?). Anyway, I’m open to the idea of linking my background to another PC if anything I’ve posted sparks some interest.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

A Fighter, a Cleric, a Rogue, a Arcane Caster solid core with two more PCs to chime in :-)

About this Free Archetype - do we get it at level 1?

This is the alias I (smiles-a-lot) would like to use.

To give everyone an idea on where I’m going with the concept. Mechanically, I see Oshii as a scoundrel (racket) with a good charisma. I envision her feinting and/or intimidating while providing melee support. If anyone has any advice or ideas throw them my way.

I’m still working on her personality and places for her to grow with the story.

@DM is there a preferred format for the character sheet?

Scarab Sages

Thanks for the invitation DoctorEvil!

Like I implied in my interest post, I've had a few runs at RotRL before but never made it farther than Book 2.

I was thinking about rebuilding a favorite character of mine from before (you know the one Storyteller Shadow), which would have been a Rogue, probably Thief racket, with Bard archetype. But if there's already going to be a Rogue in the mix I'm less sure.

My experience with 2e is quite thin. So I'll probably look for something easy to play. The class that looks most interesting to me is Thaumaturge; but it also looks too complicated for me to take on this early. I'll do some looking around today.

Chiming in. Definitely interested.
Thanks for the invite, Doc!

More later, at work at the moment.
Thinking Ranger, likely Warden, but I need to read up on it.

Edit:@rdknight if you'd be interested in a stealthy ranger type, I could consider a champion instead..

LOL RdKnight, I was strongly considering reskinning the DMPC I ran so those characters shall meet again!

Going Human, Cloistered Cleric. Based on my workload I probably won't have the full build out done till Friday though.

Background Student of Faith

EDIT: I will be using this Avatar so I will be playing her as an actual PC (finally).

Faith - Desna.

My first question DM, how do Archetypes work in PF2? Are they feats that grant a different set of abilities than your base class would normally get? They are then selected as am alternate option from base class feats as you level?

Blessed One would be a good fit for my concept.

@Storyteller Shadow: Ha! It's been a while since I've seen that face.

Seems I'm a few inches ahead of you with 2e so here are a couple of things I've found very useful for character creation.

There are lots of class and other guides here: Pathfinder 2e Guide to the Guides

I use this site for character building. It saves lots of switching back and forth and page flipping trying to keep everything straight: Pathbuilder

The free archetype rules provide a second set of "feat slots" starting at 2nd level. Those are used for taking abilities for the archetype you choose. There are both class and non-class archetypes. So Talene could take Cleric as a class and then add a class archetype like Fighter and pick up some Fighter class abilities through the archetype. Non-class archetypes work the same way but they tend to focus on a non-class thing like Loremaster or Acrobat. They work the same but give abilities that may or may not come from other classes. It's a sort of semi-gestalt I guess you could say. But you don't take the better of either class, you only take the available choices for the archetypes at each level when you get an archetype slot.

The class guides help a lot because they almost always discuss good and bad class-archetype pairings.

Also a note on Pathbuilder. The free archetype option is turned off by default. You can add it by going to Menu -> Character Options -> Use Free Archetype Character Rules, which is down in Advanced Options.

Thank you for the links rdknight!

I'll have a look - just looking to build a simple Paladin type character :)

Someone like this guy I think, to keep it simple - Champion Fighting with reach 2h weapon - let's go!:
Seems like it is simple enough to learn PF2e a bit better, but also with some cool twists.

Telurion lumbers into Sandpoint, chainmail scuffed and dulled from long roads, dark brows heavy over deep-set eyes, and a gruff beard tangled with dust and bramble. He carries a long guisarme with the ease of habit, stepping around the townsfolk rather than over them, watching, noting, and rarely speaking. When he does, it’s quiet, measured, and carries a strange calm, like a man who has seen monsters in the wild but still believes in something worth protecting. His gaze drifts to the newly completed cathedral, arriving just in time for its consecration, a quiet respect for the work done evident in the line of his shoulders and his respectful nod.

I'm still weighing options but I'm pretty sure I'm settled on Human and Bard for class. Still looking at archetypes.

Archetypes only come online at level 2, correct?

Yep.

Hey, Doc, as someone fairly new to PF2e and completely new to how they handle Rangers, is it possible that a 'character rebuild' might be available at, say, 2nd level if what we're doing isn't working well for us? (i.e. I'm going with Precision rather than Flurry, because I think it will sit better with the archer concept I'm playing around with...)

Just figured it couldn't hurt to ask before we get too far into the weeds. :D

It' a little like multiclassing or taking a different spin on the base class. Part of why I like FA, is that it allows freedom to be different and have a mildly divergent path.

I spent a long time looking for the Anniversary Edition players guide free PDF on the paizo store, but could only find the old version. I did find a very short crowd-sourced version herep which you can peruse if you wish.

The older version is here. Either should give you some spoiler free background and flavor for th story and setting if you need it.

Not a big fan, but I can compromise on changes at second level when archetype comes into play. Again for me the min-max of the character is far less important than the story they are telling. Seeing characters with flaws is part of the fun. Playing characters you don't like is NOT fun though.

Would you like a pre-adventure combat scene so you an understand how this works in PF2, and how some of our character mechanics play out in a real fight? I am happy to play a non-timeline something as a trial run. Just one encounter etc.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Maps Subscriber

Albion - Telurion champion of Ragathiel
rdknight - bard?
Hack - ranger archer?
Storyteller - Talene, cloistered cleric of Desna
Slayde - arcane caster?
Smiles - Oshii, scoundrel racket rogue

This seems like the ideas in play after 24hrs. I like all of it so far! Remember to tie your character to the setting. Be from Sandpoint or not, but explain why you are there. Use those explanations to be build the feats, skills, languages etc, of your PC (or vice versa). Play off one another if you wish.

Recall however that your PCs are first level and unlikely to be very experienced in the ways of the world, and certainly not with adventuring or their profession/class. While its a good backstory to have an immortal elf who has traveled the entire realm, it's not very conducive to to a starting PC.

Think of a character flaw, a plot hook of the main storyline, or a unfulfilled hope/dream for your PC. Share it with the group or privately but it gives dimension to your stat block and gives the GM hooks for later in the game. I am fine if the entire backstory of characters is revealed to the players slowly (or not at all) but the GM needs to know to help tell the story and tease out connections that might be invisible otherwise.

If you have questions about the game mechanics, the setting or my expectations for character creation/integration, LMK.

Slayde here. I used this character for another RotRL campaign that never made it past the opening encounter. I'd like to use her again do you see issues with her backstory? (She was actually originally created for a RotRL game using the PF2 playtest back in the day, was then converted to 1e and now is being converted back to 2e)

At the moment I'm leaning towards making her an elemental sorcerer, though imperial sorcerer, and battle mage wizard are still on the table.

Background:
Syeira was raised in the small town of Nybor. As for where she was born she doesn’t know. Her parents tell her one day when she was very young, perhaps no more than three, she wandered into their town covered in dirt, grime, and obviously malnourished. When they tried to question her as to where her family was, what happened to her, or even what her name was, Syeira responded with nothing but silence. Not sure what else to do, Syeira’s parents took her in and raised her as their own.

This is the story Syeira believes and she has no reason to doubt it. Her first memories are of living in Nybor. She has no memory of being found or what drove her from where ever it was before. Syeira loved her childhood. She was always running and rough housing with the other children, even besting some of the larger boys who thought she couldn’t keep up with them because she was a girl.

As Syeira began to mature, she began to develop affinities for magic. At first, it was small things like being able to move small objects with her mind. Syeira took delight in this ability and would use it constantly to prank her friends and parents. When her parents realized that Syeira had latent magical ability, they sent her to train with the town wizard, Vesk.

While Syeira enjoyed learning about magic and how to use it, she hated the rigidness and structure of the instruction. At the same time her magical aptitude began to develop, a strong wanderlust began to also develop within her. Constantly during her instruction from Vesk, she would be caught staring out at the wilderness daydreaming. As soon as she was dismissed for the day, Syeira would go running through the nearby woods. She always felt as if she was searching for something but could never figure out for what she was looking.

This wanderlust feeling continued to grow with age. Finally at the approximate age of seventeen Syeira decided to leave her small town. She packed a small bag; said tearful goodbyes to her parents, friends, and even Vesk; and set off down the road. Syeira didn’t really have a destination in mind when she left but her travels led her to a different small town (though bigger than her home) of Sandpoint.

Upon arriving at Sandpoint, Syeira had grown bored of the loneliness of the open road and decided to stay for awhile. Wanting to be at the center of the town’s gossip and going ons, Syeira found herself seeking employment at the Rusty Dragon. Upon entering the establishment, Syeira immediately went searching for the owner, Ameiko. When asking for employment, Ameiko gave Syeira a once over. Believing Syeira to be too frail for the job, Ameiko asked, ”Why should I hire you?”

Before Syeira could answer, a fight broke out between two adventurers at the bar. Ameiko sighed in contempt and started to turn to deal with it when Syeira just smiled and put her hand up to stop her. Syeira then began to utter a few words and wave her hands. A swirl of colors washed over the two combatants before they fell to the floor unconscious. A third inebriated man, seeing what Syeira did to his compatriots, rushed at Syeira. Syeira quickly side stepped out of his way before smacking him on the back of the head, causing him to fall into a drunken unconcious heap with his friends. Syeira turned back to Ameiko with a grin while shaking out her hand. ”That’s why you should hire me.” Ameiko did nothing but smirk and toss her an apron.

That was five years ago and Syeira has flourished in Sandpoint. She is loved at the Rusty Dragon for her outgoing and friendly nature, often inserting herself in the middle of conversation with many a customer. She has a standing challenge at the Inn to anyone that wants to attempt beat her at a game of darts. (So far she has a twenty-two and three record). Her favorite time of year is approaching with the Swallowtail Festival. Though things always get busier at the Rusty Dragon at this time, all the new people in town and stories to hear excite her.

No concerns with the backstory. You may need a motivation to leave a rather comfortable gig and go off on an adventure, so let me know what would hook her interest.

Hack Anslash here with my avatar for Rise of the Runelords.
The rough character sketch is that he'll be using the Scout background with a modified version of the Giant Slayer backstory for flavor.

Your family's village was plundered by giants in the wilds of Varisia, leaving nothing but a smoldering ruin. After the destruction of your village, your family trained for combat against giants to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. Since hearing of giants mobilizing throughout the countryside, you ventured to Sandpoint to help the town prepare for a possible incursion.

He'll be taking the scout bonuses rather than the GS ones, but using more or less that backstory, if that's ok. For his Background Lore, which has to be a chosen terrain, he'll be using Mountains (which I believe would come into play later in the story, but correct me if I'm wrong) and will be taking a Giant Lore from his standing skill points if that's cool. If not, that's cool, I'll adjust.

For future plans, I'm considering an Eldritch Archer dedication down the road, but that's not set in stone.

Character Build:
Human, Aiuvarin, Medium, Humanoid
Background Scout
Perception +7; Low-Light Vision
Languages Common, Elven
Skills Acrobatics +7, Arcana +3, Athletics +5, Lore: Giants +3, Lore: Mountain Terrain +3, Medicine +5, Nature +5, Stealth +7, Survival +5

Melee Dagger +7 (Agile, Finesse, Thrown 10 ft., Versatile S), Damage 1d4+2 P
Ranged Shortbow +7 (Deadly d10), Damage 1d6 P
Hunt Prey (Concentrate, Ranger) You designate a single creature as your prey and focus your attacks against that creature. You must be able to see or hear the prey, or you must be tracking the prey during exploration. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Perception checks when you Seek your prey and a +2 circumstance bonus to Survival checks when you Track your prey. You also ignore the penalty for making ranged attacks within your second range increment against the prey you’re hunting. You can have only one creature designated as your prey at a time. If you use Hunt Prey against a creature when you already have a creature designated, the prior creature loses the designation and the new prey gains the designation. Your designation lasts until your next daily preparations.

Hunted Shot (Flourish) Requirements You are wielding a ranged weapon with reload 0. You take two quick shots against the one you hunt. Make two Strikes against your prey with the required weapon. If both hit the same creature, combine their damage for the purpose of resistances and weaknesses. Apply your multiple attack penalty to each Strike normally.

Precision Damage Hunter's Edge 1d8

Focus Spells (1 points) Gravity Weapon
Additional Feats Aiuvarin, Forager, Initiate Warden
Additional Specials Hunter's Edge (Precision), Warden Spell (Gravity Weapon)

Here is what I’m thinking as far as fluff goes. Nothing is set in stone and I’m open to making any changes. I’m holding off on my build as I am waiting to see if rdknight is going to build a rogue and I’m not committed to anything at this point. Besides a rogue Oshi, could be an investigator, monk, or bard. **Could change the martial arts aspect to kapenia dance like combat, looking as ways to do this**

Appearance:

Oshii’s tian heritage is readily apparent in her flawless, warm golden skin, as well as by her dark almond shaped eyes. The exotic beauty’s jet black locks of hair frame features that, while proportionate and pleasing, appears to be carved from ice, never betraying what emotions lay beneath the surface.

Oshii is short, barely reaching 5 feet tall, with the athletic build of a dancer. The lithe woman flows rather than moves, each movement precise, with an effortless grace. She has a musical singsong voice and usually wears loose dark colored clothing with a hooded cloak.

Background:

Oshii Kaijitsu was like many of the over indulged daughters of the merchant houses of Korvosa, a commodity, destined to be bartered off for her family’s social gain. With this goal in mind her father began to invest in her education providing her with the best tutors and instructors. Despite this mercantile relationship Oshii loved her father and spent all her spare time with him, seeking his approval.

The young woman would wake at the crack of dawn just to sit and watch her father practice his intricate, dance like, katas. Of course, he refused to teach her but he could not prevent her from mimicking his moves in the privacy of her own room, night after night. In order to be useful Oshii was also taught the family business and how to prioritize profit and gain. Like most tasks Oshii excelled in this as well.

However, much to her family’s dismay, Oshii began consorting with people her father considered less desirable. To put an end to his willful daughter’s antics, and to retain any perceived value, her father quickly arranged a suitable marriage. To avoid the shackles of matrimony Oshii fled to her cousins in Sandpoint hoping to find refuge as she contemplates her future. Broke and adverse to manual labor her options are limited.

Syeira and Talene would know one another, Talene is good friends with Ameiko and this hangs out at the Rusty Dragon. So definitely a link between our characters.

Well, Telurion is as newly arrived as can be to Sandpoint, so he will not have ties to anyone in town. Aslo prefer to develop the character story as we go, lest one be killed in the first fight, and all that backstory go to waste ;)

Maybe Alrec we could be traveling together, going in the same direction and all that? Arriving at Sandpoint just today?

Absolutely. Works for me.

Classic set up for two prospective sellswords, eh?

Any room here for random applications or are you full up with invited parties?

They're full up, but you can submit a character if they have someone back out.

So I think I got my crunch down. I still need to pick spells and gear but here is the sheet I have (I used Academy Dropout as a filler for Scholar of the Ancients). I need to tweak her background a bit to make it fit better. If its ok, I think I would like to go with the Runescarred Archetype at level 2. It seems like a perfect fit for the character and the setting.

Shiiiiz, was looking forward to playing with master OSW.

Hey DM DoctorEvil, six seven? :D

Six is enough. We can add others (a few have inquired) if someone goes missing.

Eldritch Archer is fine for FA. Tell us how you came by your existing magical abilities and the eldritch ones that develop later.

What brings you to Sandpoint? If you are compatriots with Telurion, how did you two meet? Here or on the road?

Mountains do come into play later in the AP, so its a fine choice for Lore. Having some reason to hate giants is also good and will be thematic later.

I do have a build question - what is your Ancestry Feat? I can't find it on your sheet, and/or reconcile the skill points you used.

Shield Block Trigger
While you have your shield raised, you would take physical damage (bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing) from an attack. You snap your shield in place to ward off a blow. Your shield prevents you from taking an amount of damage up to the shield's Hardness. You and the shield each take any remaining damage, possibly breaking or destroying the shield.
Retributive Strike Trigger
An enemy damages your ally, and both are in your champion’s aura; Effect You protect your ally and strike your enemy. The ally gains resistance to all damage against the triggering damage equal to 2 + your level. If the enemy is within reach, make a melee Strike against it.

Speed 25 feet

Melee Dagger +7 (Agile, Finesse, Thrown 10 ft., Versatile S), Damage 1d4+4 P
Melee Guisarme +7 (Reach, Trip), Damage 1d10+4 S
Ranged Sling +4...

Looked over this build and have a few questions. What is the Ancestry Feat you chose? I know Aiuvarian but that's not a feat just a mixed heritage. You may add one more Language if you wish (not required).

Also, skills seem to be one off unless you are Trained in Acrobatics? This may resolve with Ancestry Feat choice.

I don't see any gear except armor and weapons, and need bullets for a sling perhaps.

Otherwise build is solid.

Need some backstory about how he came to follow the General of Vengeance, and maybe how he ended up with an odd weapon like guisarme (bastard sword is Ragathiel's holy weapon). and if you are traveling with Alrec, how did that come to pass? How did you decide to wander into Sandpoint just now?

If Pilgrim is your background, how does that play into your backstory.
