Background
A pure-blooded Keleshite from Osirion, Abasi Essa was born and raised in the capital city of Sothis. His family is descended from a long line of supporters of the Keleshite sultanate. They remained in Osirion after the overthrow of the last sultan by Khemet I, and while not actively attempting to resist Osirion rule, they did retreat into a more consolidated Keleshite neighborhood within the city. This quarter had a tendency towards anti-Osirion beliefs, and was viewed with unease even after the suspicious glances from most Osirions to Keleshites and back again had abated.

Abasi has lived his life in an attempt to defy his upbringing and to protect and bring glory to the Ruby Prince and revive the traditions and great secrets of Osirion. He grew up enthralled by Osirion history and culture, and legends of great pharaohs and treasures of ancient Osirion. He joined the city guard as soon as he was of age, and severed all ties with his family rather suddenly soon after (a split that surprised neither them nor him). He rose quickly in the ranks, his skill with a sword and shield and fervor for the Prince not unnoticed. Eventually he was selected, among a host of other recruits, to join the Pathfinder Society in Absalom and represent Osirion in their organization and to continue the search for forgotten Osirion relics, perhaps placed by ancient wanderers in unknown locations throughout Golarion.

The Prince is the closest thing to a god that Abasi worships. He pays little heed to most deities, only occasionally making offerings to the gods commonly worshiped in Osirion, particularly Abadar and Nethys.

Appearance
Abasi is 5'9 and weighs around 170 pounds. His skin is a light bronze. His hair, or what's left of it after he shaved it as close to his head as he could without being bald, is black. His eyes are light almond, and his naïveté is still evident in them despite his strict training and fervent worship of the Ruby Prince, a result of his relatively soft merchant upbringing and sheltered lifestyle within the Keleshite neighborhood.
