I will be unable to post tomorrow (Saturday). Probably not an issue with the GM going away. Given my penalties on attacks for the next three rounds, I will either cast obscuring mist from the scroll I created, or I can grant anyone with a touch +1 bonus. Let me know if you want obscuring mist cast.

Kazz D'Avore |

It's a small radius spell. If you don't want to be blinded by it, it is easy enough to step out of it with a typical 20'+ move action. However, aren't we trying to escape 40 bandits? Isn't that the point of not attacking and breaking down the wall? Why not say "don't break down the wall, keep attacking!", but instead you don't want my spell. Seems odd.
Breaking down the wall provides us with options. It had initially seemed like we'd be overrun but the bandit's resolve seems to be weakening. They're barely even engaging Akiros anymore.
The mist is easy enough to get out of sure, but then we'd have to sacrifice our good positioning. It's not like we're actually under attack at the moment. Maybe hold it as a readied action?
I don't know about you but I'd much prefer to subdue the bandits now then have to flee and try and take the fort at a later date. Most of these guys are the same sort of former farmers we've forced a ton of surrenders from already. We just need show them they can't take us down so easily. It's already happening.

Zartana |

I vote we take the fort.
Its an established camp. A good pLace to work from

Dregan Hirscherz |

Two quick things.
Firstly, I'm going away for a couple of day and I strongly suspect I will not have phone or internet coverage. Anyone can do my action.
Secondly, we need a clear course of action and stick to it. If we are going to stand and fight, we shouldn't have wasted our time making the hole, or casting obscuring mist that really hurts our ranged characters (more than half the party who are still standing.) Dregan will follow Kazz'a orders, since he's seemed like the most confident leader we have.

![]() |

The reason for the obscuring mist at the hole is because it is a far better defensible position, making them come through one at a time, and if you line up in a gauntlet, you'll kill them with AoOs as they come through, from a fully protected area with the wall.
Just sayin, it's a heck of a lot safer and you'll probably kill more that way.

Kazz D'Avore |

This is true, but the mist now just invites them to circle around, and makes it harder for us to attack them while they are still in the main room.
I think it's a good idea, just would have preferred it wait for a few rounds.
Dregan, the hole is important because there's no guarantee trying to face the bandits down will work. If things go south it will happen quickly and we'll need an exit right away, not a couple rounds in the future.

Zartana |

quick question :
who got the Comp Longbow +2str?

Kazz D'Avore |

Alright, at this point it is imperative that we set up some sort of loot sheet to better keep track of our finds.
Do we want to keep it simple or go all out? In another of my games someone put forth an intensely detailed excel sheet to keep track of such things with tabs for each character and tons of linked values. It's certainly an investment in time initially to fill it out but is nice to have once you're all set.
As an example, this is what ours currently looks like : Loot Tracker
Frankly I'm not sure if I'd prefer the simple route, what do you guys think?

![]() |

I've got one made that I use for another campaign I'm running.
The problem is, that the funds also go to "kingdom building" as well, and my excel file isn't built with that in mind.
But yes, we need one. I'm happy to take the time to fill it out, but how does the funding of the kingdom work?

Kazz D'Avore |

The loot we found in the fort is nice but given the monetary scale at which kingdom building works (ie. 4000gp = 1 build point), I think the funds to start our kingdom are going to need to come from elsewhere. I mean the entire haul is not quite enough to build a single house...
On top of that, thanks to the resources Mardavig provided, we will have another spreadsheet to track all the kingdom info separately.

![]() |

Another issue is that at current the fort, and it's contents belong to Team darkness. You fought killed and died for those things. Which reminds me if you guys ever take an extended rest you'll level to 2nd.
From what I can see in the kingdom thread you guys have decided to hitch your wagons together, so the initial bp that the Brevish crown will provide you will be granted to the kingdom as a whole.

Alexio Thraxas |

Kazz: that's a nice sheet.
I'm fine with a simpler sheet if everybody else is. The real goal is to track what loot we found and what happened to it. I can handle encumbrance and the like separately

Kazz D'Avore |

Yeah, that sheet while certainly nice is probably a little overzealous even for me :P Though the first page should suffice nicely to keep track of basic treasure sitting around.
Could you define extended rest Mardavig? A solid 8 hours or are we talking a week or so?

![]() |

8 hours is all that's required. Although we can easily make a week pass in game time. Give you guys a chance to make some repairs and improvements to your new fort.
Sending someone to Oleg's to deliver some proof of the Stag Lord's death is definitely an important step in the process. There are also parts of the Greenbelt that have not yet been explored.
You guys did kind of a mad dash towards here, while the other parties have been exploring the area.

Raven of Bonespire |

Raven will probably be one of the ones to stay behind and keep watch on our new home and start preparing an area to sanctify... I think after we get established, maybe our part of exploring should be the area surrounding the fort.

Kazz D'Avore |

Absolutely, continued exploration is our next priority. Take a week to affect repairs make the trip to oleg's and back. Once we wrangle the other parties we can all share information and benefit from their exploration.

Zartana |

Fortifing is a good option, a good defensive position, and a good fall back if we run into serious trouble
so we are allowed to go to level 2?

Kazz D'Avore |

Glad to have you back!
I'll leave you and Dregan to hash out the bow Zartana. It was given to him initially because he was in a worse situation than you bow wise. I imagine we can probably send for another solid longbow once we get to Oleg's. Though enchanted is probably a little beyond us.
So are you staying at the fort then?
Also, don't forget to weigh in on the main thread discussion!
Edit : By my understanding we will level up as soon as we rest, which we should be doing as soon as we finish talking so I imagine we can get to work on it now :)

Alexio Thraxas |

Alexio would have no problem with staying at the fort and supervising some reconstruction, but he isn't big on actual manual labor. I'll add something to the other thread.
Are we planning on hiring some laborers or bringing construction supplies on or trying to build out of the local wilderness?

Zartana |

Zartana also stays. If noone complains. She will start ro move into the storerrom/basement. She wants her own room. Private.

![]() |

So Alexio, Zartana and Raven are staying at the fort.
Hithil, Kazz and Dregan are going to Oleg's?
Akiros will stay at the fort. There are plenty of tools and materials located in the basement and the surrounding hills. What was missing was the knowledge and desire to do so on the part of the bandits.

Kazz D'Avore |

Seems like that's the plan. Haven't heard from Dregan in a bit but I think he's probably want to come along.
Alexio, you should weigh in on the discussion over at the main thread. Dregan too when he gets back!

![]() |

After getting a rest the three members of the traveling squad head north for Oleg's. Do you plan on just following the route back that you did to get here? Are you going to explore, or just straight travel?
Those remaining at the fort. Zartana busies herself in the basement. Alexio supervises. Nugrah is far to frail to assist directly. So that leaves Akiros and Raven to get things done. What exactly does Raven want to do? Since Akiros will follow her lead.

Raven of Bonespire |

Raven plans to claim the Stag Lord's room as hers, then use the fortress ruins as the foundation for the temple/ building-from-which-everyone-leads.. I'll post in game shortly regarding that and her plans for Akiros.

Kazz D'Avore |

Woah there Raven. I'm cool with a temple raised in the fort but I'm not sure I'm ok with having our main government meetings taking place in a building consecrated to any god...

Hunter Deadeye |

Possibly, we already have a party of six Hunter. Having more than that gets ungainly rather fast. Why are you wanting to make the switch?
1. Why the switch? it is a long story. Not to mention if Hunter does not, he would be in a group of 2 now.
2. Why this group? that is between me and another player here, IC Hunter is a little quiet, shy and sometimes keeps to himself. OCC, I'd rather not ruin the surprise.3. If you want, our team is split like this 2, 2 and I have no idea where Natayla is going. You can switch out some players if you want. Me and that one character I've been pming, I hope you stay in this group. As I'm typing I'm trying my best not to give it away who it is. Actually I pmed more than one person, but I'm refering to one who I pmed quite a few times.

Kazz D'Avore |

Mardavig, sorry got distracted by other things. I had meant to ask, how much of the supplies would be be able to take?
I mean to take at least my share of the coin and jewels.
I invite those three who stay behind to send some of their money with us along with instructions on anything you would like us to try to pick up with it. I'll be happy to ferry back your purchases.
Aside from the money, how much room might we have on the three horses to carry some of the trade goods mentioned in the fort? Prioritizing smaller, pricier, and less essential things first of course.
Hunter, I'd really like to know what happened that made your current group fall apart so dramatically?
And I guess, is anyone interested in departing from our group then?

![]() |

As hunter just learned 50 coin weigh a pound, and that stacks up quick. Trade goods might weigh less, but can take up more space. If we take a step back to before you guys left Stag Fort, I'd say each of your horses could probably carry the equivalent of 1000gp in trade goods. Most of the stuff you have is not particularly compact. Furs, tobacco and the like probably have the highest value to weight ratio.
Although the sack of Jewelry, worth 2900gp, could easily be carried by one person.
In conclusion. You could bring 1000gp trade goods per horse, the sack of jewelry, the gems that the stag lord had in his possession, and whatever coind you can handle before your encumbrance maxes out.
You also just watched Hunter walk away with all of Oleg's gold, so he has little to no cash to exchange for your goods. But he has lots of stuff to trade, as described in the Antlers gameplay thread.

Hunter Deadeye |

I don't know how to explain it that well.
Natayla just ran off.
Anton did not want me because of IC reasons. But his IC is much influenced by Matsu.
Matsu does not want me because she thinks I'm a bad roleplayer, and I'm doing my best to actually roleplay this game, some people actually don't know how to roleplay.
CWE doesn't know if he fits in with the group or not, he is a quite player, so they kicked him out.
As hunter just learned 50 coin weigh a pound
Actually I knew this.

Zartana |

What is the loot devided now? I suck with those calculations.
also. we have 2 str+2 bows. one is a +1 bow. I will be happy to stick with the mundane str+2. as long as in the end the gold we found is devided correctly that includes gear.
Alexio would supervise up top. Basement door gets slammed, gently in his face. with a drow smiling "Girl's room" just as it closes. she smirks at him
any way. other than that, i think we are getting solid now. I would rather the fort be a castle, then from there we can build a temple

Hunter Deadeye |

okay, those of you at olegs should have gotten a pm saying you received gold. Hunter got this gold by selling off some stuff and then splitting it with others instead of keeping it to himself.
If you want to hand it back you can, but Hunter is offering it and it is his IC reason to let him in.

Kazz D'Avore |

Where did we get the other +2 str bow, my apologies but I forget? Kazz has his own.
Ok so are we planning to run loot in such a fashion that items claimed by members of the group count towards their share? At half purchase price I'm assuming?
In that case I'll run up some loot calculations in a bit. Probably use the 1st page of the loot sheet I'd proposed earlier.
Catching up on the Antlers thread atm.

Zartana |

according to GM :
The Stag Lord's bow is a +1 composite long bow (+2 str). It has a natural appearance, the grain of the wood still evident and there appear to be leaves still growing on it.

![]() |

Wait a second. The guy who was stalking my posts, tried to stop me from switching by reporting my actions the other group, is now joining us? Really?

Zartana |

We got one i believe from the bandit leader in the first camp we ganked :P =^^=

Hunter Deadeye |

okay, not your posts Hithil, to be honest I was reading all 3 threads from the very beginning.
and to be clear, I wanted to go with you at that time, not stop you from going. But I didn't want to leave that team with only 4 people.

Kazz D'Avore |

Ok step one, I'm not certain it was as bad as all that. More a bout of confusion than anything.
And secondly, I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen here. There has been no contact between any of our characters IC except for being handed some money, which I'll deal with shortly. And again, unless someone from team darkness is planning to relocate I'm seriously hesitant to add anyone else to our roster.

Hunter Deadeye |

okay, but where is Hunter going to go? Kazz also tried to council Hunter at the beginning with the bandits post and got him to stop punching the bandits. IC I think Kazz and Hunter got along, as well as a few other characters from this group.

Zartana |

ok. sorry, first bandit raid then. :P but i knew with the stag lord's bow, there are now 2 +2str bows

Kazz D'Avore |

Yes but I think the first bow went to someone in one of the other groups, did it not? We only have the Stag Lord's.
I hate to burst your bubble Hunter but our interactions near the beginning gave Kazz the impression that Hunter is kind of a violent thug more than anything. Not that he hates you but I'd hardly say we got along well...
