eventually but not immediately.
Zartana, I am sorry if I am acting against your wishes. but I do hope to make use of the wolf to get us to where we need to be.
and save as many of the actual wolf pack as we can.

Chief White Eagle |

Guess I am messing things up again...
No wonder CWE got ditched before.
Oh well, time to fight the pack.
and wasted that nat 20 on a diplomacy check

Calm down Chief, these situations are tense and the fact that any discourse was opened is a victory.
Raven just to be clear that Channel energy is a 30ft burst. It will hit all party members, your Selective Channel feat only lets you avoid your cha mod number of targets. There are six friendlies in range, your cha is 14.
I'm down with you doing it, at level 4 your allies are way better suited to taking 3 damage than cr 1 wolves, but I just want to be clear that you are clear on that before I make it happen.

Raven of Bonespire |

I know.... I forgot that selective channel had a limit.. I apologize. Don't know my own power sometimes...in that case, she will avoid Zartana and Akiros with it.

No worries cwe :) Z doesnt care about the pack, she just wants to get the worg. Doesnt care how she gets to it. Just as long as she gets him. If we can get wolf allies after the worg is down, thats great.
In 3.5 called shots had penalties depending where u shot and if you hit, well, great stuff :P

Ok confused now, which one got gouged? conficting reports. also no mention if CWE did anything. I reposted the updated map from round 1 so I would like to know if CWE incapacitated the wold on Jenya first or not.
If he did and then Alanya ripped in apart the CWE will be very pissed at her. for slaughtering an already downed animal.

I am back to work afer 2 and half weeks off, so I will be catching up in a bit.
also some big adjustments at home, Wife is back home after her hospital stay, need to re adjust for this, so may be a little slow on the replies.

Chief White Eagle |

First off let me say, I am enjoying this game again, and I like this group.
I wonder about sometimes about why I couldn't have been with you guys from the beginning and a lot of the real heartaches I had in the past might not have occurred.
of course CWE really did not fit in with the theme of the group.
but in any event, I have to say the game experience has improved since joining Team "Darkness"

Zartana |

I am glad you found a group you like :) as players. Characters will take time I think.

Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channeled energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect. A cleric must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability
removed from gameplay and posted here.
also not to worried about it right now. since the damage isn't too bad (at least for me.) lets just decide so we can go with that decision moving forward.

Zartana |

Im sure its fine. Now people know for next time :) =^^=

like I said just for future, no biggie now.
but of course I do have lots of HP (47 hp max when raging)

On the subject of torches. The feat that was mentioned was torch handling, which I think is ridiculous. No one is ever going to take that feat unless they are building an npc torch bearer. As far as I'm concerned it has nothing to do with PCs. I suspect the weapon aspect of it is meant to allow the use of a torch to act a club, while simultaneously dealing fire damage.
I'm of the opinion that if you want to go through the trouble of lighting and carrying a torch you can wave it around in somebody's face without issue.
Brandishing a lit torch, everburning torches produce no heat, you can make a touch attack to deal 1d6 fire damage. Unless the target is coated in something dry or inflammable this will not cause them to catch fire.
Furthermore every attack of this sort comes with a 50% chance of extinguishing the torch, after the attack.
I really ought to compile these house rules on the wiki.

great ring for a caster, but maybe keep it and trade it for something from other group if none here wants it too badly?

Raven of Bonespire |

Raven wouldn't mind something like that, but I think Kyras may need it more, or one of our other casters..

Chief White Eagle |

hey all busy few days, catching up right now.
as for maps I have something I use but its only really good for dungeons.

Chief White Eagle |

I am redoing CWE since the ACG is now out I am redoing CWE's shaman classes to use the official ACG instead of the playtest.
also the book now opened up Archetypes that were not available before.
so far I chose to go with the "Witch Doctor" Archetype that will give me channel as a cleric (my effective cleric level is my Shaman level -3) when I reach level 4 shaman
also, at 8th level I will gain counter curse which allows me to spontaneous cast dispel magic or remove curse.
and I will eventually get countering hex which allows me to use my hex as a counterspell (dispel magic) (following the rules for counterspell using dispel magic of course) (this is at 10th level)
also something called Storm burst - still need to look that up. but I think it causes 1 enemy within 30' to treat all attacks as though all foes had concealment (20% miss chance) for 1 round (+1 per 4 shaman levels)
it also makes all weapons I wield into thundering weapons (this is at 11th level)

Zartana |

Done basically. Just need to spend two skill points. 1 the party can choose where they think I need a boost. Except perseption. Waiting till I can get it as class skill.

(Discarded low light vision to regain 1 evo point...damn dark vision XD)
Spent 2 points on flight, mobility good.
I now have 2 crimson feathered wings.

Zartana |

Awww. Arent you just such an adorable angel! :P

Chief White Eagle |

just a matter of time before Alanya looks like an Eagle (see I have a good influence on her...)

Alanya the eidolon |

Nah, nothing adorable with an angel who rends things with blooded claws.
I might pick up celestial later. We'll see later what sort of combination looks nice.
Careful who you are calling adorable Zartana, who knows i end up looking like a scarlet winged drow with proficiency longbow as well. I might take base back.

Zartana |

But u dont have noble blood ms outsider ;)
Suddenly thinking of King Louis song
