Male Human Swashbuckler 5/ Shadowdancer 1[Hp: 41/46; AC: 23 Tch: 18 Flt: 17; Fort: +1 Ref: +9 Will: +2; Panche 4/5]

Hey guys!

I just wanted to say sorry for dropping off the face of the earth. Between work, school, and being in all the plays at school, plus not having a computer after mine got broken, I kinda lost track of this campaign (especially since the only way I could post was by going to the library)

I'm so glad you guys trudged on without me! I'm also secretly glad that OGGM didn't just off Gavriil! He's too pretty to die alone in the wilderness.

Now that I have a computer again I've secretly been stalking the game for a few days since I remembered I was in it. I hope you guys don't mind me just lurking and continuing following your exploits!

Again, Sorry for disappearing on you guys

Gavriil

Hi Gavriil nice to see you glad to hear you didn't have a serious illness.

On another topic I was thinking make a new tab on the spreadsheet for loot from book 2, I think the tab we have is getting cluttered and might be easier to have a fresh one for each book. (I'll copy the party stuff and each character's wealth across.)

Seconded - the current one is very cluttered indeed!

Ok done, Could people have a look at the new sheet there is a bunch of stuff at the top of it that we hadn't sold from book 1. If you want to get rid of any of it now they would make things even tidier.
Some of it we don't have prices for if you can help that would be great.

GM: We have a potion of: potion lesser resistance. I can;t find that spell, should that be lesser restoration? or something else?

Good to see you Gav! I thought about Gav's head showing up on the wall of the Stag Lord's fort, but the ending I went with seemed so much better.

OGGM, sorry to be a pain: if I've blinded the wolf/worg/thing, can I finish Round 1 standing up? It can't get an AoO while it's blind.

Of course, I've no doubt it'll knock me back down, but hey.

Vosil, thats fine.

I am struggling so hard to figure out how to fit Naralesh into the "dwarf problem" going on in the Fairhaven thread and I've been just slamming into writer's block for the last day or so.

This plotline is frikkin' fantastic but I have no idea how to contribute, heh.

Heh - I hadn't realised until I was writing it quite how much Vosil identifies with Kaalib, or how badly he'd react to the idea of the Brevic realpolitik the NPCs were advising (although it's perfectly sensible).

In other words, the calm, detached advisor role is definitely vacant if Naralesh wants to occupy it! :-)

Agree with you, the plotline is amazing, although I've no idea how this goes down. Kobayashi Maru, I suspect.

Also, Magna: Stolen Lands, Stolen Hearts is... I can't even find the words.

And I always have the words. :)

Are paladins like Jedi? Supposedly emotionless, not giving in to the feelings of love and passion? If you ever played a Jedi in SWTOR, there was just such a storyline: two young Jedi fall in love, but their Master sends you to break them up, because Jedi must not give in to the emotions that can turn them to the dark side. One of the choices you have to make when you find them is whether to turn them in, or let them go.

Interesting...

I remember that quest. You get Light Side points for ensuring they get punished for their romance, and Dark Side points for letting the young love flourish...

And that is the mark of a great quest/mission, isn't it? One of the best I have ever seen.

Oh I'll be around, Talia.

Also, the young lovers is an easy choice! Who chooses to be lightside anyway?! Not when you get to wear black all the time and fashionable red lightsabers!

I wouldn't know about it anyway...

I always went either smuggler or Bounty Hunter. I always preffered having normal people overcome impossible odds in that game. Plus SPACE COWBOYS! I can live out my fantasies that Firefly never ended!

I have multiple characters: a maxed-level Trooper for the Republic and a 51 Marauder (read: Sith lord) for the Empire are my highest.

Well - as one of the 'Jedi' in this tale you guys can do what you want... as I understand it though there's no requirement that Paladins don't fall in love. They just tend to default to the 'courtly love' stereotype.

New quests posted. Some are wanted posters that have appeared on the board near the castle, some are are small roleplay vignettes that you're going to have use your imagination for the setup of the quest.

I don't want to spend time on the RP for the start of the quest. We can do it for the end - the 'turn in'.

Good point about the ring, but you missed that. You were within arm's reach, but you treatied your way away from it. Hint hint.

Naralesh has only called in help from his "earthy" friends so far... but if we see a troll, he has a companion with a "fiery" temperament who might be able to help.

Two, actually.

Ah, yes, the legend of "Shambling Mounds are bloody terrifying." It all started years ago...

(No, nothing specific. They're just scary monsters, that's all.)

HP 53/53 | AC 20 (22 w/C.E.) [T 15 FF 15] | CMB +7 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 Ref +7 Will +3 | Init +5 | Percep +0 | Stamina 7/7 | Active conditions: None Kingdom Spreadsheet | Turn Summary

True - I suppose I'm just more used to being a DM and therefore thinking of monsters as 'handy' or suchlike; and I'll admit, Shambling Mounds are very handy.

So... we going into this barrow? It has the promise of magical treasure, undead needing to be put to rest, possible secrets from time long past and some archaeology; and our people need to be kept safe from it. I mean, what's not to like? There's something there for everyone!

Possible marching order: FRONT Edric, Vosil, Talia, Naralesh, Dregan REAR

Edric to tank and melee, Vosil to tank and support with whip at range, Talia to support with whip plus spells, Nara supporting with magic, and Dregan to shoot at things/cover our escape.

The lack of cure magic is going to get us down at some point I suspect. I'd suggest a wand of Infernal Healing, but some of you are good-aligned so that's not really an option.

You are going in if I can get the damn map to upload to the Google Docs page...

If we pick up a wand of CLW Edric will invest in UMD as needed. I'm looking to build more LoH as well which should help enough for a few encounters. We aren't likely to hit anything we can't retreat from during hex exploration I'd assume...

HP 48/48 | AC 16 (Touch 11, FF 14) CMD 13 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +5 | Init +5 Percep +4 SM +2 | Shift (15 ft, 8/8)

Unless you're some kind of archetype which trades away all spellcasting, you shouldn't need UMD.

Are you?

Actually - yes I am :) Warrior of Holy Light trades all spellcasting for various LoH based effects. :D

At level 8 I'll be able to hit as many people as we can pack into a 30ft burst with lesser restoration every day, until then its a little less impressive.

So yeah... I need the UMD, unless OGGM will cut me some slack since we need a team medic? ;)

Edric - suggest you let Talia handle UMD, she has more skill points. You get, what, 3 a level?

Ha ha, let's all point and laugh at Edric the Skill-Challenged

Swarms, huh? Ok... I was hoping for undead.

OGGM: I can't find anything on whether Tanglefoot Bags will work against a swarm; I'm assuming it would but if not, then I'll try and think of something else.

Not against bats, for obvious reasons...

EDIT: Having re-read the tanglefoot bag rules, I see it does affect flying creatures. Go ahead and make your attack. If they make the save, you didn't get enough of them to stop the swarm.
