No, you are there. I try not to just leave people behind if at all possible, especially if their status is uncertain.

I'm back. Things have been a mess lately, still around but I've been really distracted from anything Pathfinder related. I'll try to keep up a bit better now!

Welcome back!

We are slow at the moment; you and Dregan were MIA, and Vosil just dropped. You guys are giving me a complex! ;)

I'm going to move on and finish the old man story, then we can discuss.

EDIT: forgot to mention Gav said he was here last Weds, but hasn't posted since.

They have - the general consensus is that it can't possibly work, but hey! Who cares about physics, economics or reality?

Neither can flying, healing your allies, or shooting fire from your hand.

Well done, guys! Anyone expecting that? I had almost forgotten the Bokken - Hermit connection!

From a meta-game standpoint, you have access to 900 gp worth of potions from Bokken from this point.

Potions of lesser restoration if he can make them - Edric will never have access to the spell, although he can handle HP damage...

HP 48/48 | AC 16 (Touch 11, FF 14) CMD 13 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +5 | Init +5 Percep +4 SM +2 | Shift (15 ft, 8/8)

I agree that lesser restoration is an excellent spell in potion form. As for other options, enlarge person is a spell that's better as a potion than as a spell - Naralesh has to spend a whole round casting it if he wants to enlarge Edric, leaving him vulnerable to interruption on the bad guys' turns, but in potion form, it's simply a standard action.

Unless anyone else has any they'd like? That's a lot of enlarging, but it's always a useful spell for a fight. Naralesh doesn't particularly need any.

Male Human Swashbuckler 5/ Shadowdancer 1[Hp: 41/46; AC: 23 Tch: 18 Flt: 17; Fort: +1 Ref: +9 Will: +2; Panche 4/5]

I don't have anything that I can think of off the top of my head. Nothing is saying we have to use up all 900 gp worth of potions right now either. We could get a couple of potions and then save the rest for a rainy day.

Not sure that keeping 200 for a rainy day is worth it. I say go with 6 enlarges that way Edric won't have to worry about if this is the fight to use it or not.

Ok, updated the group loot sheet.

88.4 gold + 580 + 1150.5 + 150.5 = 1881, or 376.2 gold each, assuming we sell the whip +1, leather +1, and mw short sword.

We have a lot of outstanding loot still to divvy up, unless they were claimed but the sheet wasn't updated:

- dust of illusion (1 pinch)
- scroll of fly
- Amber from scythe tree (Gavriil claimed 1 of 3)
- cloak of resistance +1
- ring of protection +1 (2 rings)
- ring of feather falling
- goodberries (5)
- potion CMW (2)
- scroll SNA II
- Wand of CLW (26 charges)
- Potion CLW
- Potion invisibility

Let me know if you have claimed anything or would like to claim something, and I'll update accordingly.

I thought the cloak and rings were claimed, it probably just a matter of names not being noted down if you think you have one of them check that your name is next to one.

It makes obvious sense for Naralesh to claim the scroll of fly, so I'll go ahead and do that. I'd actually particularly like the cloak of resistance +1 too, for no reason other than that Naralesh regularly makes himself make fortitude saves due to the strenuous nature of his rapid summoning spells.

Unless they're already spoken for or someone else wants them:

Naralesh claims:

  • scroll of fly
  • cloak of resistance +1

  • Silver Crusade

Edric would like the ring of feather falling, and is happy to carry the wand of CLW in his capacity as party medic. :)

He's also interested in a suit of full plate - but that can wait till we get back to Concord.

Let's get some admin mapping things done:

B7 is a hills hex with a smattering of woods on the western edge. The lake shore continues out of C6 and curves around the eastern edge of B7 (it takes up about a third of the hex) and exits into A8. The swamp witch's hut is here.

A7 is all woods - the old hermit's tree was here.

a7 is all woods, with a river entering from b7, looping up to the north before exiting into b8. The Scythe Tree's hollow was here.

All of these are explored, going straight to b7. While we are mapping, the river in a7 originates in the center of b7. b7 is all woods.

Dregan, Gav, want any of the goodies?

    - dust of illusion (1 pinch)
    - scroll of fly (Nara)
    - Amber from scythe tree (Gavriil claimed 1 of 3)
    - cloak of resistance +1 (Nara)
    - ring of protection +1 (2 rings)
    - ring of feather falling (Edric}
    - goodberries (5)
    - potion CMW (2)
    - scroll SNA II
    - Wand of CLW (26 charges) (Edric)
    - Potion CLW
    - Potion invisibility

    Male Human Swashbuckler 5/ Shadowdancer 1[Hp: 41/46; AC: 23 Tch: 18 Flt: 17; Fort: +1 Ref: +9 Will: +2; Panche 4/5]

I already grabbed one of the rings of protection I believe and I think we were keeping the potions of healing in the group pool in case we get into a situation that Edric can't heal us out of. One nice thing about this campaign so far is the one a day encounters, which means resource management has been pretty easy on us. I can carry the potions of various degrees of healing though if you guys want me to, though.

And I believe Dregan took to potion of invisibility.

    LN Female (Brevic) Human Skald 6 | HP: 44/44 | AC: 20 (22 w/shield) ( 13 Tch, 20 Ff) | CMB: +8 CMD: 20 | F:+8 R:+5 W:+7 | Init: +3 | Perc: +9; SM: 13 | Speed 30 ft | Spells: 1st 5/5 2nd 4/4 Spell Kenning: 1/1 | Performance 15/15 | Active conditions:

    - ring of feather falling (Edric}

    - potion CMW (2) (Gav)
    - scroll SNA II
    - Wand of CLW (26 charges) (Edric)
    - Potion CLW (Gav)
    - Potion invisibility

Updated. I like keeping all healing in a group pool - don't think it should count as anyone's treasure. But it is good to know who's carrying what. So Gav has potions, Edric and Talia have wands. That's a nice spread for misfortune's eventual visit.

I suggested Dregan take the potion, but I don't know that he ever responded. I'll hold off for confirmation.

I certainly think we should keep the potion of invisibility as a party thing but if people disagree Dregan will keep it anyway.

I don't know if anyone can use the SNA 2 and it's getting more outdated by Nara every day. I say sell it.

The other ring of protection should be taken by someone likely to get into close combat or sold.

    HP 48/48 | AC 16 (Touch 11, FF 14) CMD 13 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +5 | Init +5 Percep +4 SM +2 | Shift (15 ft, 8/8)

Agreed. SNA can't be used by anyone without UMD, and it can't hold a candle to a summoning-focused wizard anyway. Sell it.

Rings of Protection are some of the most cost-effective bonuses to armor, so it should be worn by someone, not sold.
