The leader puts the two with nets in front of himself as he grabs for a saddlebag.
The two men drop the ends of their nets and grab longswords.
The leader drinks a potion from a bottle and fades from sight....
Sleep spell goes off
will saves
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
You see one bandit fall into slumber.....
You are up!
Eadric Cuthwulf |
Does the leader (who I thought Eadric already skewered) provoke an AoO by retrieving and drinking that potion? :)
And I believe that Torod acts before the bandits. :)
It is difficult to follow without having rolled inits but previously Torod acted first with stormburst, then the bandit's threw their nets, then the 3 of us did our things. (plus Imiria? I thought she went back to Olegs'?) I would think the pattern should repeat...
And the bandit's with longswords seem to have a standard action left to spend? :)
Torod |
Torod continues to target the leader with his stormburst ability.
Stormburst: RTouch
to hit 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 + -2 pen to hit for 1 rd

The horses continue to walk forwards at a slow pace as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening, one of them even manages to wander off the road towards a patch of clover for a bit of light grazing.
leader ie second in command after the 1st leader died
Just trying to speed the final assault up a bit!
"Jark run an get help from those in tha fort!"
Yells the awake, bandit with a longsword in hand.
He takes a swing at Torod
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Carry on!
Eadric Cuthwulf |
I take it that is a no for the AoO? :/
Eadric wheels his horse around and directs it to attacks right where the bandit was standing just a moment ago before he disappeared. Eadric himself attacks the square directly behind that in the direction of the fort.
Ride check (fight with trained mount): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 success
Attack w/bite +Bless: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Miss chance (low hits): 1d100 ⇒ 62 complete miss
Attack w/hoof +Bless: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Miss chance (low hits): 1d100 ⇒ 1 unlikely to hit
Attack w/hoof +Bless: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Miss chance (low hits): 1d100 ⇒ 13 possible hit
Attack w/lance +Bless: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Miss chance (low hits): 1d100 ⇒ 38 possible hit
Ride check (guide with knees): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 success
Current AC: 20 (24 vs movement triggered AoO)
In summation, that is two possible hits into 2 separate squares that the bandit might be standing in given he only had a 5' step left to move. :)
KenderKin |
It seemed that your horse did connect with something at some point as you charged through the area....
Though you were not certain if it was right or left or even if the horse went straight over him.
The problem it seems now is finding the bandit!
The bandit does not retailate...
Eadric Cuthwulf |
Amendment to the above post: When Eadric commands his horse to attack, it uses its' scent ability to try and pinpoint the invisible bandit's location using a move equivalent action before attacking. If the horse is successful in pinpointing the square, Eadric will direct his attack to the same square.
Ninja'd! And I did not charge on the second attack for what it is worth. Unless you are telling me they are really spread out... a map would be helpful. ;)
KenderKin |
The horses continue forwards at the rate they were a few of them getting more and more off track....

I will admit to still being confused... init order would be a good start. One bandit is invisible somewhere in the vicinity of Torod? The other bandit is where? Beside Torod I would assume. AoO? I would make a map but I am on my laptop and haven't the time at the moment. :(
Eadric circles his horse and waits for an opportunity to attack one of the bandits. delay?
KenderKin |
Torod's spiders seem a bit confused as well not certain they can pinpoint the bandit as the horses continue forward at an easy pace.....
Perception
DC 15
The bandits horse's shadow seems a bit too tall in the sun.....
Let's not get too complex these guys were here just to bring you some potions of invisibility.. ;)
Torod |
We could use some help in visualizing the battlefield. Not necessarily a map, but more description as to everyone's location. In the same vein, an init order would be a great help. Both could prove terribly useful when we get into a really involved combat as well.
Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
"He's on that horse over there." I'll direct the spider to attack the horse. I really only want the bandit, but that would be to much.
Obi Canicus |
If he can make it...
Running over to where the seemingly riderless horse is, Obi says a quick chant and flings multicolored fire at it.
Color Spray, DC 14 Will Save.
KenderKin |
Bandit will save
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
There is a thud and a cloud of dust as the bandit falls off the horse and lands on the hard ground, he remains invisible...
Thanks Obi! ;)
The slumbering bandit remains on the ground about 34 feet away.
So you now have two bandit prisoners.......
KenderKin |
You secure the two bandits both are tied with strong ropes their arms are behind them and their feet are also tied. You tied them securely to two strong logs, so they are not going anywhere.
They come around at different times one man is apparently blinded, the other who was invisible can see....
The leader looks around and shouts at you!
"You dare interfere with us? We will feed you to the birds you will be pecked to death!"
Need some spellcraft checks on the potions!
Torod |
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Can we aid another on these rolls? Anyone want to help?
Eadric Cuthwulf |
Eadric looms over the bound "leader". Stay your tongue cretin or you shall find yourself swinging from yonder tree by your neck!
Turning to the others, I grow weary of dealing with prisoners. Don't any of you possess lethal magic? Eadric steps away from the bandit and glances at Torod's findings. So that is the plan then? The five of us stroll up to the fort whilst invisible?
Torod |
"The potions effects won't last long, but they will help. And I agree with you about prisoners. Doesn't that charter give us the lawful right to execute bandits?" Torod doesn't have much faith in the charter, but he does like it when it works in his favor.
Eadric Cuthwulf |
Obviously, but I would rather enact justice through combat whenever possible... I grow tired of the job of executioner...
And I am quite positive that whatever minimal time I have while so magicked will be of little consequence. For me at least. I am hardly subtle or stealthy in my movements. Eadric gazes at the fort in the distance. Are we to scale the palisade? Or hope that by some miracle the gate will be left open for us to waltz through? I still think that some of us should enter via disguise...
Torod |
"I can take care of executing them, but I suggest we question them first. They may have something useful to tell us. Once that is taken care of we can finalize our plan."
