Torod |
Torod continues to make a half-hearted attempt to open the gate while maintaining a calm demeanor for the owlbear's benefit and trying not to yell at the archers. "I'm trying to give the owlbear someplace to go once it's done eating. Now lay off unless you want to coral it back into it's pen now that it has a taste for human meat."
Eadric Cuthwulf |
Eadric strides up to the bandit leaders, before pointing his sword at the Stag Lord and his lieutenants, Enough of this chicanery! We are the Wardens of the Greenbelt and we are here to end your reign of terror in the Stolen Lands! We are authorized to put any and all bandits to the sword for their crimes! Any who lay down their arms have my word that they will not be executed for their crimes! Those that resist will be dealt with extreme prejudice!
Looking directly at the Stag Lord, Eadric adds, Law and order will be restored! Those that stand with you shall only know defeat, as will you! This I promise! Readied action to attack any who who move to attack him.
As a swift action, Eadric will declare smite evil vs. the Stag Lord.

Seeing as how diplomacy takes 1 minute... intimidate (+3) it is. :) 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Mind you, Eadric isn't convinced anyone is really going to give up (though he wouldn't mind if some laid down their arms)... he just wants the "arrest" legal and all. ;)
Torod |
Chicanery makes Eadric sound old. He could have used shenanigans, machination, ploy, ruse, or duplicity. Antics or foolery would have worked as well.
Now, every time I do an imitation of Eadric, I'll do it as him saying chicanery.

”So now you die!”
Quicker than the eye can follow the Staglord fires his bow at Eadric!

Stag’s Helm
Aura faint divination; CL 5th
Slot head; Price 3,500 gp; Weight 3 lbs.
Description
This striking helmet is crafted to resemble the skull of a
mighty stag. Although made from bone, the antlers and
helm are as strong as metal. When worn, the helm greatly
enhances eyesight and hearing, granting a +2 competence
bonus on Perception checks. In addition, once per day the
helm may be called upon to enhance any ranged attack
made by the wearer to make an insightful shot. Activating
this ability is a free action, and once activated, your next
ranged attack against a target within 30 feet is made as if
that target were flat-footed against you—this allows a rogue
to gain the benefit of sneak attack with this shot. If you don’t
make a ranged attack within 1 round of activating this power,
the insight fades and is wasted for that day.
A worshiper of Erastil who wears this helm may utilize the
insightful shot ability up to 3 times per day.
Constructio n
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, creator must have at
least 5 ranks in Perception, true strike; Cost 1,750 gp

yes everyone but Eadric he walked up to the bandits, though they are currently "behind bars"!

Alrighty then... hit Eadric's flat footed AC on the nose (21 vs the Stag Lord) unless he suffers any penalties for cover/melee etc. ;)
I would also assume that triggers Eadric's readied action?

Edited Eadric's AC, as Shield of Faith and Smite AC bonuses are both deflection and don't stack. :P
Ellaria |
Ellaria urgently gestures her charmed bandit foward, "Help me against those evil bandits... You must save me!". As the bandit rushes forward to attack, Ellaria picks up a handful of pebbles, slowly dropping them next to her feet while muttering some arcane words.
Stone Call on the bandits (without hitting Eadric or Ellaria's bandit), for 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 points of damage.
KenderKin |
The damage stands as Ellaria has rolled it. In her haste to miss Eadric the bandits received some shelter from the roof above.
Note this is merely descriptive ;)

They are a bit out of sorts at the moment....
......call them confused they do not know whether to attack you, re-load, or to attack Eadric for the use of profane words ie chicanery.....
They will likely decide shortly what to do!
Best hurry if you are going to beat them to the punch!

Since nobody seems to use the map by posting co-ordinates, it is difficult for me to update it... and with things like movement/position/actions/rounds/rules being glossed over, the problem only compounds. For example, the two archers upstairs are in towers 60' apart, which I am sure puts them out of range of a single color spray. :)
Not much has changed since the last update but if people want a map I can do it, but then I need everyone's positions... again.
Eadric will be dead soon and then things will get interesting for the rest of you. Good luck. :P
KenderKin |
The two bandits were both headed downstairs and both met Obi who got them with color-sprays.
The bandits are caught full force in the spray and both go down under the magical onslaughter
Eadric - Obi wants an updated map....I see Obi at J19 and the two bandits who wanted to figure out what was going on at F20 (the bandit from the far side came to there trying to figure out what is going on).
Eadric should be around AE 14
Torod was near the gate AC 14 or 15
Ellaria (charmed bandit) around AE 15
Eadric is up!
Lord oKOyA |
That puts Torod out of range for Stormburst. Eadric walked up to the Staglord so he is much closer than that (AK 12). Where are the two stone call fields of stone particles (40' radius) creating difficult terrain? How long until they expire?

If I had recalled the gate was blocking the way prior to stating Eadric strode up to the Stag Lord...
...and now I have company. I guess I accomplished my goal of picking up the pace. :/
Eadric moves to his left move action to AL 14 and yanks the cage door out of his way move equivalent action to get at the bandits. You seal your fates by your actions!
