Keldor wants to head back down, but he's very worried about his health and the groups healing abilities now. Insisting they delay long enough for everyone to be fresh and ready to go, along with some additional help if possible.

Do we have a wand of CLW yet? Could we 'borrow' one? I don't know if we can buy one yet. Maybe we can trade some of the technology we aren't using for one?

Thawm does have a stash of CLW scrolls she's been hoarding.
If we're resting for the day she can make another one by turning Bless into CLW :D
There are also the 8 CLW potions and several healing items we have in the loot pile

Thawm begrudgingly shares that she has a large supply of healing magic stashed away on her person, and then helps sort through the technological items to determine which should be brought for healing between fights. She also occasionally grumbles about not having time to finish deciphering that third scroll from last night...


In the morning Khonnir hears out the description of the robot. ”Well. Those things are dense. So if you have access to anything adamantine to get through that hardness that is always good. Other than that, most robots just require a good beat down. Very often they are weak to electricity. Some electricity helps them, but I believe that to be rarer”

You can finish you rest and start the next day fresh, without incident

With a day of shopping you can find a lot of goods around town. It usually takes a bit longer to get things sold around here. Lots of fear of the Technic league coming in and taking profits, so things go slower

With everyone rested in the morning Khonnir looks over his gear ”Well I don’t think I can head down with you, but I will pay for you to get healed up at the temple as they take you down into the water. And you can have these” He hands over a wand of Magic Missile (CL 3rd, 44 charges) and 2 potions of core light wounds, and another amulet of natural armor +1 ”It may not be a lot, but consider it my help.”

I'll refill my ammo before going down...I need to check back, I think I messed up with tracking the exact use, or a update didn't go through properly. So I'll specify the cost later.

100 GC is costly, but 10 shots ignoring hardness is hard to pass up, especially before Gun Training kicks in.

You get back to the large room with the elevator. A set of double doors in front, as well as a path you followed in the past. There is a distinct buzzing sound coming from deeper in, a bit different than before.

Its a bit hard to tell which directly the sound is coming from, other than it being deeper in. Does the group want to go through the door they did in the past? Or the double door? Or the south door that has been unused so far?

Thawm pulls out a brass key from a rather large pouch at her hip, looks down her nose at the door, and then wills the doors open as she casts a cantrip.

The small magic takes hold, and you can briefly hear gears moving, but the door then beeps. A panel to the side flashes. You now see a panel with a white key code on it.

I feel like I bated you to try that haha.. You do not have a white keycard yet. Sorry about that!

This leaves the south door and the door to the north you have traveled before

"The architecture of this place, so far, does not seem to present a bias towards either clockwise or counterclockwise exploration according to my data. It seems I am unable to comprehend why going counterclockwise is the superior choice. Please help me understand?", Basil puzzles over the sayings, not able to comprehend their context, but getting in position nonetheless.


That door leads to a long hallway. Which connects to another door. Assuming some prep and getting in whatever order you want. You open the other door.

This room buzzes and hums with the sound of machinery. A long track of moving leather­ like material rotates along a metal framework in the middle of the room. The eastern end of this device is connected to a looming metal machine fitted with thrashing and twitching armatures and blinking lights. Panels on the wall flash with strange writing and images of metallic constructs. To the west, a second track of leather, this one smeared with blood, churns through an opening in the wall to a room beyond. The entire place has an air of entropy to it-with missing parts, flashing sparks, and periodic discordant sounds of metal scraping against metal revealing how damaged the room's machinery is.

Inside are two walking robots of some kind Dont worry its not the exact token, just dont have a token for these.. As the door opens the turn towards you and star to approach.

Basil moves in, trying to get a good angle at both the Robots in the room, but finding herself obstructed by the weird machinery.

Actually they are still flat-footed in first round and I target touch AC. So yeah, maybe they are clunky and large enough :P
The machinery is included just because. I would prefer for it to stop moving before those guys grab us and place us on a blood-smeared conveyor belt screaming murder and vivisection simultaneously

Dirissa cackles with glee as runs into the room following Basil's blast. Not quite fast enough to make it to her target, she casts a spell of strength on herself (divine favor). "Save some for the rest of us, Basil!"


Gauntlet crashes down onto one of the machines and the blast from Basil damages them, it also causes the machines behind them to start smoking.

Both for the creature's have small arms that extend out and star to repair parts of their damage with small sparks and welding lines.

R1 crashes down into Gauntlet.

The second machine launches out a strange net at Dirissa, but it falls flat to the ground.

Absorbing some of the robot's successful attack into himself in order to keep Gauntlet in this reality, Keldor notices the machine-creature's odd reactions to his previous attack.

"Ware! They have the ability to regenerate! They are troll-like it seems...I wonder if the effects could be duplicated with other machines!"

Seeing the self-repair begin with his enemy, Keldor pushes down his fascination and concentrates on stopping it!

Basil reloads, another set of Adamantine-blanched pellets in a cartridge, takes aim and fires again, focusing the brunt of the blast on the robot engaged with Keldor:"Their damage control is very basic, at best. Primitive, even. I doubt they can repair extreme damage the way their Organic inspiration can."
I think it's Fast Healing, not actually regeneration-

Gauntlet's attack strikes true. Basil's shot misses the southern robot, but damages the top one greatly. Though it seems to be holding on, sputtering and smoking, but still moving!

I'm not sure how much movement it will take to cross the stuff in the middle between the robots...I figured no matter what, Dirissa should be able to advance 10 feet or so and still be able to attack if the bot moves her way

Hearing Gauntlets hollow voice shout out, Basil attempts to understand if it is an imperative, a warning, a suggestion, or information.

If it was only informative, it would probably not be important enough to disrupt combat.
So far, Keldor or his manifest form never attempted to take control of others, so a command was unlikely.
That left a suggestion, or a warning. Ignoring a suggestion was unlikely to have much impact. Ignoring a warning, despite that being the less likely scenario, would have significant impact.
As such, the logical consequence was to interpret it as such.

Even while thinking, Basil reloads with a solid-bullet-cartridge.
She then rolls away from the Robot in front of her, coming up kneeling, facing the other direction, looking at the ceiling in search of targets, then shooting a dangerous-looking lamp!

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
That's a misfire. That means the shot misses regardless of touch AC. Mechanically I am aiming at the Robot, but figured I could use the result for flavor. Also, I'll need next turn to fix up my weapon. Mechanically: 5-foot-step, MA:Reload, SA:Attack

That lamp had it coming!

The robot seems to repair itself to full capacity. It then moves up to Basil. It pushes strange limbs out toward her, not her, her gun.

Touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

If you resist, it misses. If you allow it, it unjames your gun, thought you might not know it was going to happen.

Dirissa moves up behind the automaton (is that what Keldor called it? Is that a kind of vegetable?) and tries to bash it with her hammer.
hammer PA: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 1 = 6 dam: 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7
But only succeeds in smashing another of those evil lamps. Apparently, the automaton questions was just too distracting.

Aye, would be nice to have it fix it for me, but then I'd feel obliged not to shoot it anymore, and I have no reason to believe the intent is not hostile.
Basil evades the robot, moving further back, then clears the jam and loads a new cartridge into the chamber.


The acid burns the metal of the machine. Soft spray of liquid seems to appear on the burned area rebuilding the metal.

The machine lashes out at Gauntlet, the one who damaged it.
