Female Android Seeker oracle 1/Speaker for the past shaman 1

Action 1

"Here, Zaken, let me look..." Peering at the lock for a moment, Jeyne spotted a piece of bent metal that was sticking into the lock, preventing the last tumbler from moving into place. With the end of one of her tools, she managed to slip it to the side and free up the locking mechanism, and with one or two more twitches at the picks sticking out from the keyhole, the door popped open.

Take 10 and aid Zaken for +2, which does it. :)

Action 2

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

"An altar, yes..." Jeyne replied, "but to no deity I have ever heard of. And with thousands of years of experiences to draw on...suffice it to say I have heard of many. Perhaps the deity is new, or a fabrication of its worshippers. It is difficult to say for certain - but I can say with certainty it is not one of the known deities. It could expain the fervor of the orcs and ratmen, though, if they believed they were protecting some sort of sacred site..."

Turning around, Jeyne saw Seven reaching for the doors. "Seven, be cautious - we do not know what..." But the big man had already set his hand on the dark metal, and her warning came too late.

knowledge,engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Not sure if you want a separate roll for each item so I'll just leave it at that for now and assume she doesn't know what the items are...unless you allow Malka to take 20.

Female Human Wizard (metal elementalist)/2

Action 2:

Malka listened to Zaken as he assessed the purpose of this new room. "It is odd that the corridor was locked and protected by lightning only to be accessible by another route that was not locked. Maybe we can figure out why this room is the way it is by examining the machinery."

knowledge,engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Not sure if Malka can discern anything more than Zaken already has.

When the statue came to life and attacked Zaken, Malka reacted by firing off one of the first offensive spells she had learned. Two missiles shot concurrently from her fingertips and slammed into metal and stone.

Action 1

Knowledge (engineering) for stuffs: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Haha...nope.

Jeyne looked over the gun, the armor in its small pod, the tool...and found she had little to contribute on their function. Nothing, in fact. So she simply pocketed her tools and moved on, putting their finds in one of the outer pockets of her bag. Perhaps Zaken will know more of them.

Action 2

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Staring down the statue, Jeyne watched as it roared to life, lashing out at her compatriot - and once again, found that she had nothing to contribute on its identity, its weaknesses.... Most would have claimed her distracted over her incapacitated adoptive father...but that was not possible for Jeyne. She readily acknowledged his important role in her life, but she had no capability for the kind of emotions that would distract her that way...do I? Her hand tightened slightly on her spear as she pondered the possibility and waited for the moment to strike.

I believe we already have identified batteries before so I guess we need not to check again...

Action 2 (round 1)

"Hey you freaking statue come on! What have I don... outch! COME ON!" Bleeding and beaten, Zaken back stepped towards Malka, drew a potion from his pouch and applied it to LEEK's 'back device for processing arcane potions and oilments' while thinking that he should probably choose a better name for the damned device. Using a potion of magic weapon on LEEK - Fabian, I only picked magic weapon for this sole purpose... but now I'm in doubt if LEEK's slam would be considered a weapon or a natural attack. If you consider it a natural attack, would you be OK if we change the potion to a potion of magic fang?

LEEK's powerful fists started to glow a bit in a greenish color. Soon after he moved forward and punched the creature with all his strength, no order necessary from Zaken... perhaps seeing his master being hit was enough.

Damage (slam), magic weapon, power attack: 2d6 + 4 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (6, 3) + 4 + 1 + 3 = 17

That's fine. Whatever it is, the potion works so that Leek's attacks are now considered magic.

I was sort of hoping you would remember because there are no magic weapons among you all as far as I remember.

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 Can I assume this'll tell me that gargoyles are usually chaotic evil? If not, ignore this post.

The serious injuries Zaken had sustained looked troublesome to Jeyne; LEEK's intense hit was likely to draw its ire, but the robot was likely to end up in a similar state unless Jeyne took precautions. [Gargoyles: earth-based creatures who gain advantage against their enemies through impersonation of statues and other stone ornaments. They are creatures known to have a penchant for vindictiveness, cruelty, and treachery...]

At her recollection of the malice inherent to most of these creatures, Jeyne had an idea. Her attempt to duck past the creature without drawing a blow ended up a failure, but even with attempting to dodge the creature's heavy swing, she ended up with LEEK between her and the beast. Murmuring a blessing of protection from Brigh's holy book, she touched the robot's shielding, watching as a spark of light expanded into a glowing ward around the robot, with the image of a clockwork mask settling over the robot's own stiff features. For protection, she explained simply.

Move action, use Acrobatics to move next to LEEK and out of the gargoyle's threatened range. Standard action, protection from evil for one minute.

Acrobatics to avoid provoking: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Fail; her movement will provoke.

Seven jumped in fright as the big pile of metal came to life. It seemed like one thing after another was trying to hurt them down here. He realized Tolgy was real smart to give him a sword. But he wondered if he'd be able to slice this thing with a sharp blade like he'd done with the rat things. He hesitated just a second, but in that time the thing hurt Zaken, though Malka made sure to hit it back.

Seven decided. He dropped Tolgy's sword and instead pulled out the big, heavy hammer. The one that looked like a shining star, but with a fat, heavy head on one side. He hopped around Zaken and up beside LEEK, the robot now punching back with its own metal fists. He cocked the hammer back behind his head then slammed it down as hard as he could on the bad thing's head. At least, it looked like a head. Bits of metal and rock chipped off as the thing roared back at Seven. It made Seven's teeth rattle. So he roared back as loud as he could.

Malka pulled her wand out to attack upon recollection that these creatures were more readily damaged by magical attacks. Knowing that this information would be beneficial to the others she yelled, "If you can attack with magic it will do more damage than naught."

Malka had thought there was something odd about the creature but didn't have time to contemplate it while they were fighting. Now that the battle was over, Jeyne's comment identified what had been bothering the wizard. "It is odd that it was mute. Another Iroran prayer echoed off the violet columns, and all of Jeyne's companions felt power surge through their limbs.

Sorry, came down with food poisoning yesterday. Left work early, slept for eighteen hours, woke up again just in time to come back to work and play catch-up. I'll get posted by late morning.

Female Android Seeker oracle 1/Speaker for the past shaman 1

Action 1

As Zaken withdrew and threw his grenade, Jeyne's movements matched his. The item that emerged from her bandolier, however, was not a sleek metal casing, but a small bag oozing with a dark substance through the fabric's pores. With a deft flick of her wrist, she tossed it at the other android and was rewarded when it burst asunder on her chest, enveloping her in a dark, sticky goo.

Tanglefoot bag throw at Meyanda.

Tanglefoot bag throw with range increments and bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 16 I'll assume her touch AC is less than 16.

Action 1, Round 3

"Crap... this is going nowhere..." Zaken saw with frustration as his grenade was ineffective and how the other robot was repairing the drone. Zaken guided LEEK into continuing his attacks before moving towards the north ladder so he would be able to reach the repair robot.

Not sure if LEEK would be able to hit the repair droid from the lower ground... if he can, he would 5ft step southeast and attack the repair drone, if not, he will hit the drone again. Zaken will move as closer he as he can to the repair droid up to his spear reach.

The affects of the loud noise was beginning to wane somewhat and Malka found herself able to do more than just keel over in pain. When she saw the android attack Seven, Malka's eyes narrowed in determined anger. If you hurt Seven, I hurt you. Taking aim with her magicked crossbow, she attacks the android.

attack,bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
attack: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10

Sadly the mage's anger was not enough to will her bolt to hit her target. The continuing ringing in her ears was distracting and the bolt went wide and slammed into the machinery surrounding the android.

Even with using an action point, she wouldn't be able to hit the android :( but that had me thinking, do we still have action points to use?

Action 1

Seven's sword had finally started to make some progress, stilted though it was by the collector's plating...but then the repair drone moved, and in moments all their progress was lost...

"Go for the repair drone!" Jeyne called out, her voice stiff as ever despite the desperate situation. Seven would not be able to understand her Androffan words, she knew, but hopefully Malka or Zaken would understand and pass her words along. "Otherwise our efforts are useless!" To facilitate her advice, she drew one of the nets at her hip and tossed it at the repair device, trying to entangle it and hamper any further healing. At the last moment, though, the repair drone lurched away from her clumsy throw, and the net fell useless to the floor.

Move action to move to two squares south of the collector (there's a path that avoids all AoOs) and draw net. Standard action to throw net.

Net - ranged touch attack with nonproficiency: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 9

Yeah, if we do have action points I wouldn't mind burning one to add to that attack or ignore the nonproficiency penalty for a round or something...

FYI, I'm going on vacation for the next 12 days. I won't be back home until Thursday June 16th. However, I should still have internet access and I do intend to keep the games going. I'll probably be posting in the mornings and nights but don't expect much during from me during the daytime. And don't be too concerned if you don't hear from me for a day or two.

Game on!

I'm a little unsure of the map. Is the repair drone up on a platform, and reaching down to make repairs on the collector?

the repair drone is on the platform reaching for the collector drone who is hovering off the ground.

Seven hissed at the smaller automom as it began to repair the damage from his sword. I had seen enough of these things to know what that meant. He turned to look for access up onto the top platform, and it was then that he was blinded by a real bright light. The room started to spin, but he squinted his eyes and shook his head and things slowed down a bit. The saw the bad lady with the red eyes staring at him. He figured her to be up to no good.

He ran to the southern ladder and began to climb up, eyes locked on the automom with the red eyes.

Seven steps around behind LEEK to minimize AoO's, then proceeds to the southern ladder and begins to climb up toward the mean android.

Malka moved closer to the android in order to get a clear shot because the last thing she wanted to do was accidentally hit Seven. Aiming at the android, Malka once again shot a bolt at Meyanda.

attack,bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 1 = 24
possible critical: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9 no :(
damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

Malka smiled in satisfaction as her bolt actually embedded in the adroid. Her smile quickly faded as she saw the ball of lava continue to hurt Seven. Yelling as loud as she could over the noise of the machines she said, "Get it off of you!" She wasn't sure if her words would register with Seven. She loaded another bolt and watched to see what Seven would do.

Action 1

Seven was the one heading directly into the most danger, but Jeyne wasn't going to be able to help him until the ladder was clear...so instead she turned and lashed out with her longspear at the collector, trying to help LEEK take the droid out so everyone could focus their efforts.

Aid another for +3 to LEEK's next attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Success. +3 to LEEK's next attack.

Actio 1, Round 4

Zaken cursed as he saw that the repair droid moving away from him and soon retreated back to LEEK's side (northwest of LEEK) and then guided LEEK to attack the drone.

Attack (slam), bless, guidance, power attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 24
Damage (slam), power attack: 2d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 + 3 = 12

He then sighed as their attacks were always hampered by the drones hard cuirass. This is nearly pointless...

Will it be possible, in the future, to make LEEK's slams adamantine?
