Life Link (Su) Whenever Leek takes enough damage to send it back to its home plane, as a reaction to the damage, Zaken can sacrifice any number of hit points he has without using an action. Each hit point sacrificed in this way prevents 1 point of damage dealt to the eidolon. This can prevent Leek from being sent back to its home plane.
Scavenger's Luck When Zaken checks for using a piece of timeworn technology results in a glitch, he can roll again. He must choose to reroll before determining the specific glitch, and must take the second
result, even if it's worse. When Zaken uses timeworn technology, it doesn't automatically glitch on a natural 1.

Background:

Zaken was born in Torch, grew up in Torch and spend all his life in Torch, never traveling more than twenty miles away in any direction, a fact that especially drives him mad since his father was the famous Pathfinder Lander Marson. His mother is not nearly as famous, Inkrit Kollisun, at least not outside Torch, and is the sole owner of its general store.

Zaken’s dream was to follow his father’s steps, but when he was eleven years old his father vanished, leaving him and his mother on their own. Weeks later they heard the dire news: his father was killed in Starfall when the Black Sovereign burned down the Pathfinder
Lodge.

Zaken was always a smart and curious kid and when he was not helping his mother on the store, he was tinkering and playing in the junkyard, to the deeply annoyance of its keeper... at least he was a regular customer. Almost every coin he could spare he spent on trinkets and baubles from Mr. Burrwaddle.

When he was fifteen, a weird wizard moved into the city, Khonnir Baine, and his daughter Val Baine and despite his many attempts off becoming his apprentice, the old man rejected him every time… at least he won
the girl’s heart, a fact that only worsened his attempts.

One day, after many questions of how much a particular part costed and getting always the same answer from Mr. Burrwaddle: ‘five pieces of silver’, the gnome lost his patience and yelled that anything in those piles would cost five pieces of silver. Almost instantly Zaken found an old and rusted construct, buying it for five pieces of silver. “LEEK” was the construct’s name… at least it was what was written in its green shoulder… actually it was something else, but Zaken knew not the androffan alphabet back then and the word was upside down.

After a couple months working on Leek without success, Zaken grabbed a hammer and tried to destroy it… when he gave the final blow, a weird black hole appeared above it, and the pile of junk disappeared inside it… just to reappear on the following day, in a far better state than the day before. Zaken did not know how, but he ‘fixed’ it and whenever it is apparently destroyed, it vanishes and then returns half repaired on the next day.

Grateful, Leek now follows Zaken for the most part of the day… annoying Val deeply and more than once being the responsible for their fights.

Appearance:

Zaken is a young man with a height of almost 6ft. and 174 lbs. He has bronze skin and brown hair, curly, and beard, kept well trimmed, of taldan progeny instead of the more common kellid, a trace inherited from his father. His eyes are almost grey, with a tint of blue.

Personality:

Zaken is a curious and charismatic young man, easy to make friends and trustworthy. Having lived his whole life in Torch and being the son of a famous pathfinder, Zaken seeks opportunities to travel and is very enthusiastic about new adventures. Currently, the only reasons he had not left Torch yet to join the famous pathfinders are his mother and his girl.

LEEK:

Different from all other robots designs Zaken had found before, Leek is perhaps a abandoned prototype of another class of robots, lacking the single round eye for two small eyes, resembling more 'human'. Leek has an humanoid shape, with three fingers in each member and a heavy and polished green cuirass, more burlier, making his look like a 'fat robot'. In the middle of his chest, a round lantern shines with pale white light.
