Anyway, I'm trying to clarify the rules on this as it has always bothered me. It hasn't come up in previous scenarios so far though. (Took this utility power since level 1, and only used it once so far, and didn't need the extra distance from accepting 1 burn, i.e. easily accomplished with a double move.)
On a separate matter first, I don't think there's any action required to activate air's leap, but rather it is activated as part of other actions. The act of accepting burn does not require any type of action. (If it does, it would mess up other kineticists' powers which require burn as part of activating those power, compounding the actions needed.) Moreover, some of the kineticist's utility powers would explicitly state if an action is require to activate (e.g. air shroud requires standard action to extend air bubble to allies), but air's leap is silent on that.
What I see the issue is whether a "run" full-round action requires the person to actually be physically running. Sounds strange written like that, doesn't it? :) Searched forums a bit for it, and this is the one of the discussion I could find on it. But nothing really definitive.
I'm fine with a double move ruling though, as he can just jump to the island in between, then again next round to get to the stone circle. But thought since this is the first time this has come up (in Fung's 10 games thus far!), curious to hear what others think.

Thanks for the botting and the Leaping, guys! It was back to the old grind today but I'm caught up now that I'm home :)
| GM Hmm |
This is an ability you've never gotten to use? I am hesitant to adopt the running stance, but I think this could be useful to get over pits and such. Go, take a flying leap!

Yup, not the quadruple jump distance bit (from accepting 1 burn). Most PFS maps don't cover that kind of distance. :)

Decided to keep to the more conservative interpretation of jumping, i.e. max of double move (2x speed), rather "run" (4x speed). In fact, it didn't matter in this case also since there's sufficient land for him to leapfrog. Anyway, in two more levels, it won't matter anymore when Fung gets permanent fly. :)
Think there's also a disagreement on whether air's leap requires a standard action to activate or not. Let me consult paizo's forum.

Yup, they require standard action by default, but as you suggests, you could technically activate it and since there's no duration limit, it stays on permanently after that. :) The phrasing of air's leap doesn't seem to require any activation per jump.

And now we're waiting for the Overseer post. Thank you for a fantastic end to this Special. 575, in more ways than one, that was EPIC. I loved how the whole team contributed throughout. You were one of the best groups a GM could ask for!

You've set a very high bar, GM, for the rest of us to aspire to.
Looking forward to seeing some of you in #2-11 The Penumbral Accords and #6-15 The Overflow Archives.

Yes, thanks guys and Hmm for the great game. I only wish I could have participated more, but for once, I found that a table actually ran too fast for me to keep up. It's usually the other way around :) So - kudos to all of you for being such committed, persistent players, and to our lovely GM, of course.

I'm sorry I ran too fast for you this time. Whenever there's a special, live or PBP, I feel like I'm running a marathon. But I never want to make anyone overwhelmed!

Sent you a message Hmm. But here it is again for convenience's sake:
Skye started play at level 4.0: 9 xp, 8PP, 16 Fame, 2614gp. Don't recall making any purchases.
Skye grows his own herbs in a windowsill garden at the Overflow Archives. He gives them away to his companions on his faith journey and vision quest. He's content with the loose change some monsters carry in their pockets. While supportive of the working man, he has little desire to toil himself. No Day Job.
