I rolled the save cause I wasn't sure he where he was so I just rolled to be sure. Also He called to someone, so best be on the lookout for others. probably have Kayla move to the workshop to look for others.

Was following Tycho farther than 10 feet back, so I'm assuming she shouldn't be affected, but just in case...

Mercer can you pick a picture for your alias that is an elf? would confuse me a bit less as it always makes me pause for a moment when I see it now lol
someone will need to use a move action to open the door to the workshop.
Also you can redact since I added a map and these are position I picked based on you previous actions on were you would move likely be you can correct me if you feel I'm wrong.
Oh and his dog is right behind Tycho next to Az.
Ambrose Lockhart |
GM DM, would you mind sharing the file with us? I have a picture for Rowena and a picture for Elsie in their profile and I can put them onto the map if you share it with me. I think it would help a lot instead of using the same picture.
Ambrose Lockhart |
You should be able to edit the file if you need too
Hmm, I'm unable to move anything on the map. Did you select share--"anyone with link can edit"?
Kayla - Black scorpion |
On the map, I assume the two dogs are Ambrose's dogs? and the guy next to Tycho is the guy we are after?
Ambrose Lockhart |
I can't move anything and I don't have any tools--it just lets me see the map as is. Is it a google drawing? It looks like it. If you just click "share" and choose "anyone with link can edit" we could all move our figures by clicking and dragging (and I could paste in the pictures of my dogs).
Here's an example:
If not, could you please go into the profile for Ambrose's pack and use those two images for my two different dogs so we know which is which? Let me know if I can help with this. The dog just to the left of Ambrose should be Elsie.
Kayla - Black scorpion |
I noticed the settings are set to allow editing. it just doesn't want to let me edit. maybe its a windows 10 thing?
Kayla moves in behind the traitor swiftly drawing her small blade.

Sorry for the delay had a busy weekend and spent all day Monday sleeping to recover and things were a bit complex here so I had to sit down for a bit to figure out everyone's actions.

Kayla: moves to flank louslik and sneak attacks him, he drops to the ground from the stab wound bleeding to death
Tycho: creates copycat illusion
Azrielan: Goes to the workshop door
Mercer: opens the workshop door
Inside the workshop you see a group of three men standing around a trapdoor, one is holding a lantern.
Enemy turn: The man with the lantern chucks it down the hole to start the fire down there and the other two are carrying crossbows that they fire at the door aiming for Mercer.
The Tanner's dog attacks Elsie

He forms the fingers of his left hand into an arcane sign and shakes his hand three times at one of the crossbowmen.

Rowena provokes AoO from enemy dog.
The terrier bites into the lantern thrower, trying to wrestle him to the ground.
Elsie stands by her side, biting at one of the archers.
Elsie missed the archer. Rowena hit a 18 AC for 12 damage on the lantern guy. If that hits, she gets a free trip attempt on him and hits 18 CMD. Elsie will use her first three AoOs to boost Rowena's AC by 2 the first three attacks against her. She will save her 4th, and Rowena will save her AoO for if the tripped guy stands up.

Ambrose Lockhart |
Thanks for updating the map with my dogs’ pictures! That helps a lot. Two things:
1) Both of my dogs attacked the lantern guy. Rowena was the one who hit and tripped him, so she should also be adjacent to the “X” guy. I’ll take my turn assuming she’s actually one square below Elsie.
2) Tic said he wanted to move to the door of the workshop to cast his spell, but he’s moved all the way in. I think he wanted to stay back, but that would mean Tycho would have to move back also.
These two things don’t really affect my turn, but I thought I’d mention them. Would it help if we posted the exact square we want to move to?
Ambrose tries to speak soothing words to the attack dog, attempting to calm it down. All of his years in the kennels can't help him reach the beast.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Ambrose's pack |
Rowena navigates past the dying and sleeping enemies, lunging at the still-breathing foe. She savages the man viciously while Elsie follows to help.
Rowena: Move action to square south of remaining bandit.
Rowena: Standard action to bite the archer, hit AC 27 for 11 damage. Trip attempt hits a 13 CMD.
Elsie attempts to jump up onto the table to keep defending Rowena, but she fails. If she can fit under that table (square SW of bandit) or on top of it without a roll, she will. In that case, she will AA Rowena's AC with the Bodyguard feat, bumping Rowena's AC by 2 if attacked.
Rowena bites remaining archer, PA, IC: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 1 + 1 = 27
Rowena damage on remaining archer, PA: 1d6 + 6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 3 + 1 = 11
If Rowena hits, she gets a free action to trip the archer: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 - 1 + 1 = 13
Elsie acrobatics to jump onto the table: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Elsie bite the archer, IC, high ground: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 11
Elsie damage vs the archer, IC: 1d4 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
Elsie gets a free action trip if her bite hits, IC: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11
Elsie AA1 on Rowena's AC if she's attacked, vs AC 10: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21
Elsie AA2 on Rowena's AC if she's attacked, vs AC 10: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12
Elsie AA3 on Rowena's AC if she's attacked, vs AC 10: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 = 22
Douloureux |
Sorry about that, I'll be more clear going forward!
Bolstered by the pain he just caused Cruelty Feat - +2 to attack and +1 to damage for one round, Tic moves up to the standing crossbowman swinging his Spiked Chain
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 202d4 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3) + 7 = 14
Kayla - Black scorpion |
Kayla slips in the second door to size up the situation. seeing a possible opening to get to the trap door, Kayla takes it.
move in the second door and move to head down the trap door. (need to salvage what she can before it gets destroyed)
DireMerc |
The final crossbowman is down.
Kayla looks down and sees the flames are quickly spreading downstairs. The floor is covered in straw which combine with oil and fire means there is likely no way of stopping the flames without the use of magic.
She might be able to get down there and grab something thought looking around she sees some papers on a table the fire hasn't reach yet and there are several closed boxes spread around the room.
If you go down you take 2d6 fire damage per round reflex dc 15 for half.
Douloureux |
I walk up to Kayla, laying a hand on her shoulder saying, "I cannot offer more than this, but it may help some" casting Resistance on her +1 to saves for 1 min
Tycho Mandrini |
Hold on there, Tic. I haven't gone yet, and the combat isn't over yet. There is still a dog menacing me and Ambrose. ;)
Tycho will cease his constant sermon of hellish retribution
Inspiring Performance ends
"Ambrose, do your job and silence this beast. I have more important matters to attend."
5ft move to the door (where Tic is on the map, but he moved to attack)
1 Round Casting Time: Tycho will Cast Summon Monster II. At the start of my next turn a (augmented) small water elemental (+4 str/+4 con) will appear down in the hole, on top of the fire.

Ambrose Lockhart |
Ambrose draws his axe and tries to hit the dog with the flat of his blade.
Attack with nonlethal vs entangled AC: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 4 = 7
She's just doin' what she's told. She's a good dog, I won't kill her. Mercer, can you put her to sleep?
Elsie, heel! Rowena, fetch!
Ambrose points to the prone forms of the insurgents. Elsie obediently returns to Ambrose's side while Rowena starts dragging the unconscious archer out of the flaming building.
She will drag them all out so they don't burn to death and we can have Tic "question" them later.
DireMerc |
The water elemental puts out the flames and you manage to capture the remaining dog.
Out of combat
You find a box full of flyers.
They read:
People of Longacre! The time of your redemption is at hand. When the song of the Inheritor rises, you all must choose: live as complacent vassals of corruption and evil, or embrace honour and claim the glory that is your right. The Glorious Reclamation gives you a choice. Signed,Lencia Visserene, Knight-Inheritor of the Glorious Reclamation.
Boxes in the room have a dozen longswords and sets of leather armours.
Ambrose Lockhart |
Good find, Kayla, Ambrose says, nodding respectfully when she displays one of the flyers. He retrieves and refolds his net as he speaks.
We'll need a cart to load up all the evidence, and all these fools who thought they could overthrow the government. Maybe Cimri could get one for us. Folks won't take kindly to our presence here, even though the law's on our side. We should get these traitors out of here to somewhere out of sight so Tic can 'question' them. I can fetch Cimri--anyone else who wants to accompany me is welcome.
Tycho Mandrini |
Tycho listens to Ambrose intently, while removing rope from his pack and holding it out to Azrielan.
"Agreed. Azrielan, bind these criminals while the others get those flyers and crates out of the workshop. Perhaps we can give the arms and armor to those loyal citizens of Cheliax who are willing to fight insurgents in Longacre."
He then turns to Kayla:
"However, one more thing: the tanner also told me he had a stash of coin in the workshop. Likely his unpaid taxes. Kayla, will you search the workshop for the stash? Take Tic with you in case there are other traitors hidden within."
Swift Action: Spring-loaded wrist sheathe: Draw Wand of Infernal Healing
Std Action: Cast Infernal Healing on Tic
Assuming we stay out of combat rounds...
While Azrielan ties up the foes, Tycho will cast Stabilize on any unconscious guys who are still bleeding out.
Once the loot is out of the workshop, and the criminals are all bound, Tycho will approach Ambrose.
As his magical disguise fades and Tycho's sharp features return, he says to the houndsmaster:
"Your dedication to the cause is noted and appreciated. My master rewards those with discipline and conviction"
Cast Cure Light Wounds on Ambrose
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Ambrose Lockhart |
Ambrose smiles as his wound closes instantly.
Not the first time I've been bit by an unruly pup, and it won't be the last. But thanks, all the same. You coming with me to inquire about a cart? I don't know this Cimri all that well...
Tycho Mandrini |
"If we can't find some kind of cart or wagon in the workshop, it would be prudent to secure one as quickly as possible. I will accompany you. I have no doubt the criminals are quite secure in Azrielan's capable hands. In fact, if I didn't think there was more information for us to glean, I would almost hope they try to escape from her."
The Asmodean priest allows himself to let out a disconcerting laugh as he nods to Azrielan and goes with Ambrose to look for transport.
