Thandir felt an arrow bounce off of his armor. With a roar he launched himself forward.

I would argue that Vaunu isn't in combat; but is in fact, avoiding it. But since he see's where the arrows are being fired from the point is moot :-)

I know I was just trying to be funny... a big emphasis here on trying.

Hit Barricade, Swift Bulls Strength: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Damage: 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (1, 2, 2) + 15 = 20

Belegar quickly plucks out the the arrow he was hit with, resisting whatever it was tipped in.

As he does, Thandir rushes his axe into the barricade, splintering the exterior, but he's not through yet. The kobolds have done a little more work than a wimsy makeshift obstruction.

Jurgan eyes the kobolds with suspicion, preparing to dodge in case another lucky arrow would come his way.

Belegar was already inspiring from round 1, but since he drew his sword, he too attacks the barricade.

The kobolds both draw a vial and drink it.

Near the gate, the ground slightly trembles....and suddenly the ground erupts from something large burying up, near 1d3 ⇒ 22d2 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 Belegar and Thandir.

Its mandibles seem exceptionally sharp.

The mandibles crack down onto Thandir, dealing a solid hit on the brave 1/2 orc.

Seeing the kobolds pet rise out of the ground and attack Thandir, Vaunu rushes forward dropping his crossbow and drawing swords, attempting to tumble under the things legs, he slashes at the creature with his mitheral shortsword. in draconic "Hey no fair, making your pets fight."

Blood ran down Thandir's leg, as he turned to see his attacker. A grin flashed across his face. Here was something worthy! A challenge that he could face...but was it enough of a trophy to win the affections of the most beautiful half-orc within this hemisphere? It remained to be seen.

He brought his axe down onto the beetle with a sickening crunch. "PROVE YOURSELF WORTHY OF MY AXE!" he roared at it.

As Vaunu makes a jab at the beetle, his blade barely slides off the carapace, this is one sturdy beetle.

Thandir has some more luck, and plants his axe into the beetle.
I will repeat...that axe is brutal...op too, perhaps? It turns a tough bug into triviality. :)

Uke sees the butchering Thandir deals to the bug and, and attacks the spot Thandir had before, in attempt to clear a way.

Jurgan watches the large insect burst from the ground he flicks his fingers towards the creature and three missiles fly from his hand towards the insect.

Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 4) + 3 = 13

The magic projectiles hit the bug in the flank in consecutive impacts, properly hurting it further, but not enough to put the beast down just yet.

Well i'd consider this a bug-tank.

Belegar ponders on whether to leave the bug to his comrades, who all seem to gang up on it with success, or kill steal join the fun.

One of the scaled buggers plants an arrow in the 1/2 orc's leg.

The bug continues its assault, as it clips its mandibles in preparation.

The bite is most vicious, causing a severe wound, as the mandibles grab Thandir across the chest.

I was at 29 wounds, took 22, so have 7 left.

Thandir was lifted up by the Bug. He could feel his ribs start to crack along with his armor. Roaring in pain, rage, and excitement, he brought his axe down...

Hit: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32

I really need to stay away from that things mouth! shifting to the north, Vaunu, attacks the rear carapace of the bug with both shortswords, but avoiding the things legs misses with both attacks

Looking back, we're both slightly off.

Thandir swings his axe, planting the blade into the place where a forehead would probably be. The beetle swings its head around, dropping Thandir, before slumping down dead...very dead.

It seems clear, as Thandir looks downwards at the arrow sticking out of his leg, that he's no worse for wear, but is looking angrily to where the kobold is hiding...

Seeing the half orc kill the hugh bug, Vaunu turns and looks down the hole it came out of and asks, "Do you think it came from the kobolds cave."

Rolling his eyes at Jurgans continued babbling, he moves to the dwarf, "I don't have a potion, and if you hadn't picked the fight, he wouldn't need it." So you give him one of your potions.

He then moves behind the dwarf, using him as cover.

As the kobolds toss words back, Belegar hacks into the same spot.

Dealing enough damage to strike a hole in the barricade, big enough for a medium sized person to get through.

The kobolds above start to panic, and they flee through two small sized hatches near their barricaded spots.

Combat over.

"Well we have knocked on their door. Catch your breath Thandir. Seems like they will have more surprises for us."

With the inspired rage gone, Thandir took a wobbly step and then fell flat on his face.

Seeing the big half-orc come crashing to the ground, Vaunu looks at Jurgan like it was all the dwarfs fault. Then looking to the others, "Seriously I don't have a potion. Were going to need to do something else to help him."

Belegar uses 2 slots to cast CLW twice.

2d8 + 10 ⇒ (7, 4) + 10 = 21

Once Thrandir gets healed up by Belegar, Uke will sheathe his katana blade and help the Warpriest to get back up onto his own two feet.

"Shall we go through that barricade of theirs and knock upon their door again?"

Uke doesn't mind taking point to enter past the barricade via the broken medium-sized hole if directed to.

Thandir surged back to his feet, and looking around roared ”Korada’s mercy has come! Accept his love or I will rip off yours arms and beat you to death with them!”

The half-orc’s faith was obviously sincere. One had to ask though why such a peaceful deity would bless such actions. But if his prayers were not answered by Korada, then by whom?

"Alright dust yourself off. We have business to attend to. The chieftain has been rude dismissing us. We will need to show him and his yapping dogs that threats are not to be handed out lightly. Well what are you all standing around for. Through the hole!"

With Jurgan's firm statement on the situation, the team goes through the breached barricade.

Thandir went in first. There were kobolds here. Everyone knew that where there were kobolds, there were dragons. If he brought back a trophy from a slain dragon, then his beloved's heart would certainly be his!

Sadly, he was so caught up trying to decide what body part to bring back, he wasn't being very perceptive of his actual surroundings.

Watching the others filter in Jurgan lets the wayang go before him. "Use those eyes of your shadowling." He puts a hand on Belegar. "Let's have you at the back." Not waiting for an answer he steps in the darkness letting it settle over him.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

'Mercy has come? Accept love or I'll rip your arms off?' Giving Thandir a disturbed look, Vaunu, nods, 'We may as well get this over with," Stepping in front of the dwarf, he begins to looks around.
