The save vs fear was for those within 30 at the time or anyone who enters 30? Khayal was outside but is now inside of 30 (thank you Haste :) )
The ghost dwarf activated it as a free action on his turn, so anyone who enters 30 feet/was within 30 feet. Go ahead and Save.

Had this happen while playing Rise of the Runelords. The enemy became Improved Invisible and Flying. Nobody in the party could touch it. Almost had a table flipped over that battle, until the rogue dug a Potion of See Invisibility out of her haversack and used her sling to point out the flying person. It gave the others just enough time to switch to crossbows & bows for the final kill.

Giving Hajar a little more time!
I apologize, folks. With this Cornona-19 virus, I'm staying at home, which is good, and I'm a prepper to boot, which is great, because I don't have to shop for more than a few fruits once a week. But I know that this "involuntary quarantine" everybody's going through is hard.
We're rooting for you and your school system, Hajar!
(Even though all the state governors now want all the students to repeat a school year, rather than have them go back to school in June?)

No, we aren't planning on holding kids back. For us they'll only have missed 1/4 a year. However, we are more concerned about patching those missed skills next August.

Just to ask: how is everyone doing with this shutdown? Here in North Carolina, we're technically in "Phase 2" of getting back to normal, whatever that's going to be. But my job is an at-home job on the telephone, so I'm doing okay (but not signing up any new people on the travel membership club).
Got my taxes done today too! (No more procrastination). Thank you, Tropical Depression Bertha, for keeping me indoors for two days straight!
So I'll be at the Post Office spending $14 or more for delivery confirmation of said tax forms.
I'll post as often as you guys & gals post. We're on the downhill side of Book 5, almost ready for Book 6!
Didn't someone have Boots of Levitation from before? Those would have helped with defeating the ghost when he floated up out of the way.

I'm in Maryland and we're just barely starting the reopening process. I'll likely be working from home through the end of the year, since I can do my whole job from home. My wife will start going in a few days a week in mid-June, probably.
Overall, it's stressful, but we're financially secure and healthy, so we have no room to complain.

I've lived across the South growing up, and this morning in central North Carolina reminded me more of Louisiana. Five days of rain, soggy yard, mosquitoes biting me in less than 2 minutes, ants trying to move inside the house. Arrgh! :)
If no other replies, bot'ting and moving on tonight!

Living in Florida, things have begun to open up. Moved onto another job with the Navy. It’s another ship that is being finished in Wisconsin but will be home ported here in Florida.
The ship has two crews and the other one is onboard right now. We are kind of building my crew from the ground up. What that means for me is that I am working out of a trailer for the time being. We don’t have a CO or XO for my crew yet (they will be my bosses) so that kind of leaves me in charge for the moment, which I am enjoying.
My family is doing well and I hope you all stay healthy.

I'm in New York. Just beginning a soft reopening, though still working from home for the foreseeable future.
Things have been....intense to say the least.

Good to hear from you, Nasir!
I'm starting the annual week of Vacation Bible School at my church, so I may not be posting in a timely manner. I hope I don't get the Zoom conference-room and the game mixed up. The kids wouldn't mind a battle or two against a dwarf ghost, right? :) And you guys & gals wouldn't mind online crafts with a Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood theme?

Bot'ting Hajar tomorrow...
Would do it now, but super headache due to Tropical Storm "X" coming up through the South and then dissipating before it got to my house in Graham, NC. Grrrr. I "paid" for that rain, I should be getting some right now!
I hope everybody had a safe 4th of July.

Thanks to Yazi and Bartan to staying through the campaign. I'm hoping the others return soon, that it is only the stress of the Conona-19 virus keeping them from gaming.
I'm here as long as you all are here. I might drop to posting only twice a week, but I'll post as often as the players act.

Sorry about that, game stopped updating, then lost power due to the storm. Out for three days

Will be caught up and posting later today. Need to crash after working all night and on a writing project.

back in 3.5, Pyro and Cryo hydras were my go to for polymorph spells. They were one of the most efficient uses at least from a combat perspective. Because the old spell was based on HD and actually changed many of your stats to mimic the creature you turned into.
You could be your max HD based on caster level by choosing the number of heads the hydra had, as I recall there was a table with stats for everything from 5 heads to 12.
A 7 headed cryo hydra (which you could be as a 7th level wizard) had some pretty great abilities. I can see why they changed it for Pathfinder but it always made me a little sad that it took away "some of the magic" of polymorph.

Been having a very frustrating week. I clicked the link to the link to Shazathered's songs from the plane of water. The Enya has been calming.

I'll take the boots of teleportation, and switch off with the slippers of featherstep, situationally.
Nevermind, I see Hajar has them. (catching up)

That's good, Michael. Nah, I'm fine, just getting a new Turbo Pump ($,$$$) put into my 18-year-old Turbo Diesel Injection Volkswagen Jetta. (The "Turbo" part was lacking.)
At this rate I've replaced on the 2002 machine (bought in 2007):
- the transmission (2012)
- the Diesel Injection (2019)
- the Turbo Pump (2020)
- the battery 3x
- several tires, air filters, gallons of window washer
Y'know, normal maintenance. ;)
The weekend turned into multiple shopping trips.
Anyway, it looks like Khayal's testing his fireproofness, and Yazi's looking for hydra steaks again!
