Poor Khayal, every time he tries to do something to “look cool” he ends up rolling poorly. At least he did not roll a 1 like last time.

In case anyone is wondering, after the battle with the fire-dwarves and counting their equipment, yes, Hajar's spell has worn off. You're about 110 minutes from arriving in the vaults of Bayt al-Bazan.

The area you're in is relatively safe. You do have an unknown monster area to the East; no door to lock, but you can post guards (including your new cannon fodder, er, azers).

I'm sensing some lag in the posts lately. Is everybody still active here in Legacy of Fire?

We've barely scratched the surface of Book Five. This is one of those "could be fast, could be slow" books, so if anyone's bored and waiting to get back to Katapesh and the Brazen Peaks, there are ways to speed up the plot.

I've also been leaving hints to help you though this (another) unique situation that you find yourselves in. The borders of which could become abundantly clear in just a room or two. Nasi got such a hint just this morning. The fire-dwarves can also answer a lot of questions, if you had the right questions to ask.

So buck up! I'll go as fast as you want me to. Right now everyone's paused on the big set of stairs, looking down and looking up.

I'm still around, though I'll admit I'm having trouble determining our direction at the moment. But I'm still very much committed. :)

I haven't had any major negative stuff taking up my time, I've just been working on some major projects. I'm still around, and happy to go at whatever speed others can manage. :)

Just to let everyone know, I have to take a neighbor to a doctor's appointment this morning, Thursday, 10 May.

Tomorrow, Friday, 11 May, I'll be with the Coast Guard Auxiliary on Kerr Lake, VA, for the day. (And if you're jealous, my brother is going to Wilmington, NC, for a weekend on the beach. He's living the good life.)
