Seeing Lucifer enter through the door Hovok waits a couple of seconds before rushing through with shield raised and warhammer ready for any enemies.

Lucifer glances at the slightly jarred door on the east wall and the one further down south. Thinking about keeping the route taken simple, he moves to the southern door and listens for anything on the other side. Also checks to see if the south door is locked.

While Lucifer starts to make easy work on the lock, Hovok takes a quick listen at the door that's cracked open. Though all is quiet on the inside, he notices the door kept open by a chunk of masonry covered in webs.

As Hovok starts to point this out to the group, the lock Lucifer is working on opens with a faint *click*

Orovan gives Lucifer some space to work as he doesn't want to get blown up if something goes awry.
While he waits for the other two to do their work, he goes back to take a look at the torch & try to identify how long it's been out.

The ifirt does what he's been doing, staying close to the group, but trying to stay out of the way. Everyone in the group is an expert, here to do their part. Jafit's tiny, blackened hands keeps him from doing much that requires either manual dexterity or strength. He's the one specialist on the team that nobody ever wants to need.

Hey Vold just a heads up but still need to update your header.
Also, not liking the new layout since it takes alot more effort for me to navigate currently...Hopefully will figure out a better path than my current one.

Agreed always better to come from the door least expected...Also, there were alot of webs wrapping the stone that was holding the other door ajar so maybe facing some spiders at some point.

Though let me clarify I like the look but dislike the navigation currently.

Voldarus is upset with himself for missing the secret door "Just not as good as I once was I guess" he shrugs and taks up a spot to the side of the door so that he can see and fire in if he needs to.

The archetype that I traded out would have had an auto checl for a secrete door. Good looking Orovan

I have a +2 racial for secret doors, and a fallen torch all by itself just screams "I fell through a secret door." :D

Lucifer opens the door revealing:

A curving wall of glowing green crystal bulges out into this chamber from one corner. A stout wooden table stands along the wall opposite it. On the table lie three rotting human corpses and the remnants of a large spider. One of the human corpses has had all of its extremities
severed, and its torso has been opened to reveal the internal organs. Another dismembered corpse has moon spider legs sewn onto the stumps in place of the removed limbs, all of which are neatly arranged near the rest of the spider. A bucket full of reeking, old blood sits on the floor under the table, and needles with lengths of silken thread attached are stuck in a hand-sized block of bloodstained wax atop the table.

As Lucifer walks into the room and takes a look around he notices pressure plates on the floor in the middle of the room. Looking up he sees a trap door above the plates.

The area of the pressure plates are indicated by the white dotted line.

Anyone who looks at the table will notice the spiders parts are quite large.

Knowledge Arcana DC 12:
These are from Moon Spiders. Moon spiders are malevolent giant spiders that haunt the Echo Wood and other forests in the western vales of the Sellen River. They are far more intelligent than most of their arachnid kin.

Beating the DC by 5 or more earns you questions regarding the creatures.

Lucifer quickly warns his friends, "Careful. There is a trap."

Lucifer approaches the pressure plates and looks back up. "Something must drop from above when these pressure plates are activated."

Lucifer then starts to look for a way to disarm the pressure plate.

@Voldarus: The Know Arcana was for the spiders on the table. There's no way of knowing anything more about the glowing green crystal other than it's probably the spire within the spire as Hovok described it to the V.C.

Lucifer frowns as he is not able to disarm the trap. He thinks and then shrugs. Looking around for something that might be heavy enough, he spots the bucket of blood and goes over to it. Lifting it up and smiles at everyone, "Stand away from the pressure plates, please." When he is sure everyone is not in danger of the trap, he tosses the bucket of blood onto the pressure plate.
