Andirke peppers the ogrekin with arrows and it falls in a heap on the floor.
The other one screams in rage and charges at Ting slicing the tengu's shoulder.

"For Golarion!"
Aroden waves his sword in a dizzying arc, inspiring the party with questionably sacred power!
+2 sacred bonus to attacks, saves, and skill checks for allies within 30'.

![]() |

I'm assuming the 'ogrekin' is standing in the doorway.
"Sqawk!" Stunned by the creatures, speed and the wound to his shoulder, Ting recovers his senses and quickly studies the creature. Shifting his sword he slashes at the ogrekin, "Let's see's if'n' you's bloody well's liokes itn, wroight?" He steps back freeing the doorway so someone else could attack the thing.
move action: Studied target, Full attack; bastard sword, PA, FF, ST, SB +2
attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 25 for damage: 1d10 + 1 + 6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 6 + 6 + 2 = 22

![]() |

Lucifer moves to get into a better position to shoot through the doorway at the ogrekin that hit Ting.
+1 Xbow -into melee: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 9 - 4 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

![]() |

Not sure the map is up to date but I should be able to full attack this round I believe.
Orovan is surprised by the crashing spears, but perhaps more surprised by the rain of arrows loosed by their own tengu archer. Yet even as he marvels, their other tengu friend is charged by some abomination from within the room. At very least, the thing is close enough to hit.
"Let's handle this the old-fashioned way!" Orovan calls as he swings his fists in heavy arcs.
Unarmed: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 12 - 2 = 12, Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Unarmed: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 12 - 2 = 29, Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
On hit, Touch of Chaos for 1 round, roll all d20s twice & take worse

![]() |

Nodding his head in approval as Orovan knocks the ogrekin down, "Now 'at's 'ow you's put yer man down." Lulling his tongue in a tengu smile, "So' let's see if 'ese blokes 'ad anyt'ing worth picken up, wroight" He then toddles into the room, checking the bodies and then the room.
he will take 10 (21) on perception

![]() |

Lucifer moves into the room and begins to search too.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Outside of a couple axes and javelins on the ogrekin, there's nothing in here but piles of refuse. As you all enter the room a small creature appears in the corner of the room and with unnatural speed zips by everyone mumbling in a foreign language.
@Aroden: Your See Invisibility doesn't apply to this.

![]() |

"What was that?" Orovan wonders aloud.
"Maybe we should go back and get that prisoner. Take him back with us, if we're all done here."

![]() |

Hearing Orovan's question, ting turns and answers, "I's got's no bloody idea!" He gestures towards the door in the west with his sword, "But's lets take a looksee's behind tha door afore we's head back, wroight?"
He then goes over to the door and checks it for traps.
he will take 10 (21) on perception looking for traps, if he finds none he will attempt to open the door

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Andirke seems to be talking to himself as the fey that was in the room is long gone. In about 2 seconds it zoomed between everyone through the secret door in the previous chamber and out of everyone's site.
It is four times faster than a human or tengu.
Ting takes a look at the barred door and doesn't find any traps or hear anything on the other side. The tengu lifts the heavy bar on the door and opens it revealing a staircase descending into the dark.
You have found the exit to the next floor of the dungeon. Congratulations, you have completed Level 7 of the Emerald Spire!

Gimble, The Storyteller |

You all make your way back down the path to the lodge and report your findings to the Venture Captain. You have a nice hot meal and the next day head into Fort Inevitable to gear up.
After taking a couple days to make sure everyone is healed up and well rested you make your way back to the spire. You find your way back down to the set of stairs beyond the barred door and start down. . .
The stairs spiral downward only about 40 feet before opening up to a small chamber.
Across this small chamber from the ascending staircase, another staircase winds down into darkness. Off to one side is a calm pool of murky water with a pedestal in its center. Atop the pedestal, a golden serpent idol grasps an emerald in its fangs.
Picture of the idol on the map.

![]() |

Seeing the Emerald tings eyes light up, "I's bloody well's loikes shiney's." He lulls his tongue in a tengu smile, "So's does you's blokes t'ink it's a magically trap er a physical one?" He slowly moves closer to the murky water looking at it carefully to see if he can find the trap.
Ting really likes gems, he will try and take the time to take 20 (32) on perception,

![]() |

Lucifer moves closer and looks into the pool for valuables or if anything is alive in the pool.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26

![]() |

Aroden casts a few spells as the group begins their explorations.
Mage Armor from his wand (now at 33),
See Invisibility (70 minutes), and
Resist Energy (Fire) (80 minutes, 20 pts).
He casts Detect Magic and scans the room.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

As everyone starts to examine the room they feel something tug at their mind.
Lucifer: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Orovan: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 = 22
Ting Tang: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Aroden: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Andirke: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
While Orovan, Aroden, and Andirke are able to fight off the lure to retrieve the gem, Lucifer and Ting are both compelled toward the gem.

![]() |

"The gem...looks nice." Moves toward the pool of water and reaches for the gem.

![]() |

LOL, yeah, ting would have been really interested in it without the magic :)
"'At't a floggin' fact, wroight." He realizes Lucifer is moving for the gem, he steps forward, as well, ""ear, let's me' give you's a 'and."

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Forgot about Detect Magic being cast (we'll go 1 round at a time). Aroden definitely detects magic in the room
Lucifer and Ting reach for the gem at the same time. Right before they touch it they disappear.
Reaching for the gem, you are instantly teleported.
You snap out of the charmed effect and realize you are both in the corner of a 5' wide by 8' tall coridor.
The narrow corridor ahead has a strange serpentine pattern of green glass embedded in the floor. The pattern runs 40 feet to the end of the corridor before turning left to head out of sight.

![]() |

Tings eyes widened in surprise and disappointment, he puts a finger to his beak and quietly breaths, "Sshhhh" He nods up the hall, moving to one side getting as small as he can. His exotic bastard sword in hand, he begins to carefully move up the serpentine hallway, very slowly and quietly, keeping a keen eye out for anything.
Is there any natural light in the hall? if there is Ting will remove his Ion stone, So using both stealth and perception moving at one-quarter speed?
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14 + 3 for traps
stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22

![]() |

"Well, they could have been Plane Shifted to Hell, or cast into the void of the Dark Tapestry, so, no, I do not wish to follow until I learn a bit more."
Aroden continues to concentrate on Detect Magic.
2nd round: Number of different magical auras and the power of the most potent aura.
3rd round: The strength and location of each aura. If the items or creatures bearing the auras are in line of sight, you can make Knowledge (arcana) skill checks to determine the school of magic involved in each. (Make one check per aura: DC 15 + spell level, or 15 + 1/2 caster level for a nonspell effect.) If the aura emanates from a magic item, you can attempt to identify its properties (see Spellcraft).

![]() |

When teleported, Lucifer instantly crouches to the ground and uses his darkvision to scan around.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
He then, stealthy, follows ting with his sword drawn. "Lets hope we don't run into anything too dangerous before we can rejoin the others."
Stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33

![]() |

"I let Ting go first to keep Lucifer out of trouble, and they both get into trouble together." Orovan shakes his head. "Can you divine where they went? Or if this is a manner of illusion?" He asks Aroden, hoping the man has some magic that can help in this situation. In the meantime, he looks for traps or secret doors that might be employed in this chamber for some kind of trickery.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

![]() |

"Yes, perhaps it is an illusion and they were simply made invisible and silenced. If they were teleported elsewhere, the spell that could track them is beyond my power. So we'd have to find them the hard way."
Aroden continues to concentrate on Detect Magic.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

To the 3 in the entry room, the idle still tugs at your minds, but all of you still fight it off.
Orovan: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 2 = 21
Aroden: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Andirke: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
@Aroden: There is just the aura from the idol. It is a Moderate Aura.
@Orovan: You don't see any other exit from this room other than the 2 staircases.

![]() |

Aroden continues to concentrate on the aura to identify the school of magic at work here.
Prescience 1 of 4: 1d20 ⇒ 12 I will use this roll for any subsequent Will saves if needed.

![]() |

"I think it's time we get out. Head for the stairs." Orovan orders, knowing Aroden may well choose another fate for himself. Nevertheless, Orovan himself takes his own advice and moves for the stairs leading down.

![]() |

Quickly putting his ion stone in his bandolier, ting proceeds quietly down the hall. Breathing through his beak instead of his shattered nostrils, he occasionally wipes the drool from it.
Thanks for the info on the light, Same spiel for ting, moving at one quarter speed using stealth and perception. have we found any doors yet?
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30 + 3 vs. traps
stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

![]() |

Moving along next to Ting, keeping an eye out for danger and possible exits.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32 +3 Traps
Stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39
::Does John Cena's "You can't see me" move::

Gimble, The Storyteller |

You sneak your way to the corner of the corridor and it turns 90 degrees to the left and continues another 30 feet until it turns again to the left.
The idol has both conjuration and enchantment magic.
@Orovan and Andirke: The stairs descend deep into darkness. This is actually the staircase to the next level of the spire.
All of you continue to feel the tug of compulsion toward the idol, even in the stairwell. All of you still resist.
Orovan: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 2 = 19
Aroden: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Andirke: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

![]() |

Orovan sighs. "No easy way out."
He steps back into the room, draws his sling, and loads a bullet. "Shoot it."

![]() |

Pulling out an adamantine tipped arrow, Andirke launched it at the gem, striking it directly.
Perfect strike: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 271d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Perfect strike: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 331d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Crit damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
27 to confirm crit for 44 damage and ignore hardness under 20.

![]() |

Thanks for the map Gimble!
'That's a bloody trap.' As His eyes widen, Ting turns to Lucifer pointing a taloned finger at the emerald serpentine pattern, and whispers. "Traps." Then he places the finger to his beak. "Shhhhh" After pointing out the obvious to the highly skilled Wayang he turns and continues moving down the hallway as stealthily as his crow feet will let him, making sure to avoid the trap.
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 + 3 vs. traps
stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
So this is definitely the most Ting has used stealth at one time in the six levels he's been played. Glad he's sneaking down the hall with you Lucifer :)

![]() |

@Andirke - Objects are immune to critical hits. You might want to save your Perfect Strike.
If Andirke's arrow fails to destroy the gem, Aroden will cast Dispel Magic at it, spending an Arcane Reservoir point to boost the CL by 2.
Dispel, Potent Magic: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29
So if it is a magic item of CL18 or below, its abilities are suppressed for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds.
"Grab it and throw it in a Handy Haversack.."
If Andirke's arrow does destroy the gem, Aroden will examine the fragments with Detect Magic.

![]() |

"Lets hope this leads somewhere." Heads for the next turn and peaks around the corner.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25 +3 Traps
Stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (9) + 19 = 28

![]() |

Both of you notice that the serpentine pattern on the floor is some kind of conjuration trap that runs the entire length of the floor.
Leaning over to Lucifer, Ting points at the serpentine pattern on the floor and whispers. "Oi, Should we's remove tha blood trap's from tha bloody floor's?"
Tings got a + 24 on traps, so should be able to be done reasonably safely

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Back in the entry room: Andirke pulls out his bow and lets loose an arrow at the gem. The arrow strikes the emerald square and the gem pops out of the mouth of the serpent idol, rolls off the edge of the stand, and falls into the water.
Aroden casts dispel magic and temporarily gives relief to everyone from the tug at their mind.

![]() |

He continues to move along the hallway.

![]() |

don't know if we need the stealth and perception, but will keep moving that way
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18 + 3 vs. traps
stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

![]() |

Orovan goes to fetch the emerald. "I don't have any magical bags. But I can take it out of here." In his mind he pictures the spire transport token and wonders how far it is to the spire itself.
"If I vanish, you may have to destroy the statue." He adds before reaching the water.
