Lucifer makes his way toward the sound of battle beyond the drapery. He then slips past the heavy drapery to get into the narrow tunnel.
Double Move: 20' & Move Drapery

![]() |

"you little" Voldarus finishes his line of thought with a string of orcish curses as he attempts to swing his club in the confined space
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

![]() |

Not wanting to crowd the tunnel anymore than it is already Hovok pauses attempting to listen for anything on the other side of the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Unsure exactly how this would work but wanting to stow the shield and put the warhammer back on belt which I think would take both move actions? May not be able to make the 5 ft. step either though not sure the action economy in this case.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

As Lucifer moves the canvas aside, the half-orc's curses echo from the hidden passage. All the rogue can see is Voldarus's greatclub come smashing down atop the goblin, silencing the creature once and for all.
Out of Initiative.
Shouting can still be heard through the South door.

![]() |

Seeing Voldarus, "Ah... glad to see you Voldarus. We took care of the other goblin. But it looks like there might be more to deal with."
Lucifer moves to the south door and puts his ear to the door, seeing if he can understand what is being shouted.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

![]() |

"Good" the half orc grunts, "This wee bugger gave me a heck of time. I've dropped my bow" Voldarus complains as he squeezes out the passage.
He jogs back to retrieve it. Dusting it off and making sure that it is still intact he heads back to the group.
Grokar is readying his bow for the next room.

![]() |

Well guess no sneaking around these guys once everyone is ready lets go through and take them out...Wouldn't want to leave any enemies behind us.
Think it is time to give you some time. Pulling out the dwarven longhammer.
Going to be without shield for a little.

![]() |

Lucifer whispers to the others, "Two goblin voices."
When everyone seems like they are ready, Lucifer opens the door and readies for himself to charge in to battle.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

With everyone ready to move on, Lucifer opens the door.
Two tables with benches lie scattered around this mess hall. Decaying food of an indescribable nature sits on the tables. At the western end of the chamber, doors exit to the north and the south.
Two goblins are fighting over the hindquarters of a mangy coyote. As soon as the door opens they pause for a moment and look over in silent surprise.
Surprise Round!
The party is up. Standard or move action only.

![]() |

"A couple of you look hurt. Do you want to move on, or take a moment to feel better?"
Assuming the desire would be to get the minor healing . . ..
The ifrit's hair whips wildly for a second, and a warm glow of a lazy summer day spent with friends and family spreads across the group, fading away as quickly as it began.
Channel 1 of 5: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Okay, I have to laugh. Really.
What are the odds I would be typing up flavor text while the judge moves past the point I'm trying to act in?

![]() |

Lucifer is fine HP-wise.
Lucifer quickly dashes around the table and moves into position to get in range of the furthest goblin to prevent him from potentially escaping. Moved 20'

![]() |

Voldarus moves in and aims his bow at the little buggers.

![]() |

Was down 3 now just 2 hp so not worth a CLW potion or spell really.
Hovok moves forward near Lucifer readying his long hammer while seemingly talking to himself.
So how many more of you are there in these ruins?
Have reach right now reason I didn't move next to any and AC is 14 until I put the shield back on.

Neilmin |

Neilmin moves inside the room just so the he sees one of the goblins pulling out one of his bottles of alchemist fires and tosses it at the goblin
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Gimble, The Storyteller |

@Neilman: It's a surprise round, so just a move action or standard action. you can't move into the room and throw the alchemist's fire, plus you still can't see that far do to the magical darkness.
@Jafit: I'll allow you to channel before Lucifer opens the door. Go ahead and take your surprise round action.
Lucifer: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Voldarus: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Hovok: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Neilman: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Jafit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Bolvurn: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Orange: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Pink: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
The goblins immediately drop the meat they're fighting over and move to attack.
Pink moves up to Voldarus drawing its dogslicer and swings at the half-orc, but the blade bounces harmlessly off his armor.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Orange draws its dogslicer, takes a step to Lucifer and swings. The rogue easily sidesteps the attack.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Initiative:

![]() |

Correct me if I am wrong but with reach I can make an attack against both from my position.
Seeing both of the goblins still within reach Hovok makes an attack against the orange one.
Will attempt to cleave so my AC will be 12 this round sadly.
Attack (Orange): 1d20 + 1 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 6 + 1 = 25
Damage (Orange): 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
Feeling the first blow connect Hovok continues his swing to the purple goblin in front of Lucifer.
Attack (Purple): 1d20 + 1 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 6 + 1 = 25
Damage (Purple): 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
HaHa...That feels so good my friends

![]() |

Been wanting to play with that hammer kind of feel like it will be a little too good but my AC is a little too low I feel without a shield to use it to often.
Now lets take a look around this room and what these goblins have on them...along with the ones we left behind before we move on.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
After taking a look around Hovok turns back to the group.
Should we continue on through this door or go back down that hallway do ya think?

![]() |

"Nice hits Hovok."
Looks around, "Lets search this room while we are in here and then go back to the previous room. We are here to explore the place after all. Don't want to miss anything."
Perception (Searching Room): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

![]() |

"haha, you do well at smashing the little 'uns" Voldarus laughs as he too goes about searching the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

![]() |

Lucifer can you ear anything on the other side of this door?
Turning to Voldarus
Aye she does at that though wanting to test the mettle against something a little bigger to see what else needs to be done with er to make er a better ammer.

![]() |

Lucifer goes to the southern door and listens upon Hovok's request.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

![]() |

Lucifer puzzles over the sounds he hears as he steps away from the southern door and returns to the previous room. "There was some clanking sounds like from a machine. Perhaps a trap or some old mechanism that is still working."
"Lets back track some and explore rooms we passed up before heading further in. Don't want to miss anything or have some hostiles sneak in behind us to ambush us."
That being said, he moves toward the western passageway and checks the northern door first.
Moved Lucifer on the map.

![]() |

Lucifer pulls out his thieving picks and starts working on the northern door.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

![]() |

Voldarus follows after the pair with his bow at the ready.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Going to the north room, Lucifer easily unlocks the door.
Rows of wooden racks on the walls of this room hold a ramshackle collection of rusty blades, scraps of armor, and warped arrows.
There are a few dogslicers and horsechoppers strewn about the room, but nothing else of any use.
The south door is unable to unlock.
Moving west through the hallway:
Rubble and sharpened sticks barricade the northern entrance to this curved room, and a thin wall runs down the room’s middle. To the east, a short passageway leads to a similar room. Doors are set in the southern wall of the room and both walls of the passageway.
There's nothing of interest in this room.

![]() |

Lucifer if you want to scout a little ahead I will follow shortly to try to stay out of your way, but there is no chance of me sneaking around and making sure we don't walk into a trap.

![]() |

Lucifer takes a hand at trying to pick the lock on the southern door, but since it proves to be out of his league he decides to move onward.
"Good idea. I'll scout ahead Hovok. I'll try to stay maybe 10' or 15' ahead of you. That should provide enough distance to remain stealthy or retreat back if I run across something to much for me to handle alone."
Lucifer goes into stealth mode and heads toward the short passageway that leads to another room.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

![]() |

Voldarus moves up and takes a listen to the door for himself, then turning to Hovok softly says "We could break it down," and shrugs adding, "Just a thought." he then waits silently for Lucifer's scouting report.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

@Lucifer: There is nothing of interest in this room except for a door on the southern wall. Sorry, I didn't realize I hadn't revealed that section.
@Voldarus: The southern doors in the hall are stone. The dwarf is pretty certain it's well crafted and would take some time to break through.

![]() |

Lucifer motions for the others to follow him as he moves to the southern door and listens for anything that might be beyond it.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

![]() |

Lucifer whispers, "Goblins."
He then opens the door and readies himself to go to the next room.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Lucifer opens the door:
This room is full to bursting with a motley collection of cots and other furniture cobbled from scraps of wood and cloth. The stench of rotting food is overpowering. Doors lead to the east and the north.
Three goblins stand talking among themselves, weapons in hand. Red has its dogslicer out. Green and Purple have shortbows out.
Lucifer: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Voldarus: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Hovok: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

Purple immediately takes a shot at Lucifer with its shortbow, striking the wayang in shoulder.

"Not more of these little buggers," Voldarus complains and enters the room. He quickly scans and picks out his target. A green little guys with a short bow. He draws and fires.

Lets just finish these guys quickly so we can explore more of this place.
