A spot has opened up. Any takers?

Bump

bump

Last bump, then I'll just go with who I have.

Second Seekers (Roheas)

I am interested in this but only literally just saw.

do you still want the same kind of submission asked for in the opening post?

The idea I have is for a sling-focused Hobgoblin Ranger

Maxwell is back and ready for action. Ready for adventure and exploration, after all this time stuck underground.

Just my 2 cents TTT, we could use a healer like maxwell.

Strangely enough minus the sling we already have one of those. Which is not to say another ranger wouldn't be useful, but that's TTT's decision.

Second Seekers (Roheas)

Here's a quick sketch of what I came up with

Matching my wants with party needs.

Crunch:

Polmar Finn
NG Halfling Warpriest of Nuada Silverhand

STR 13 DEX 17 CON 14 INT 10 WIS 14 CHA 9

AC: 17 (+3 Dex, +4 Chainshirt)

HP: 33

Attacks:
Ranged +6 Silver-Colored Sling: 1d4+2
Melee +3 Heavy Mace 1d8+1

Feats:
1: Point Blank Shot
1B: Weapon Focus: Sling
3: Precise Shot
3B: Rapid Shot

Special Abilities:
Good Aura
Orisons
Sacred Weapon
Focus Weapon
Fervor: 1d6 4/day
Blessings: 4/day
War Blessing
War Mind (minor): At 1st level, you can touch an ally and grant it a tactical advantage for 1 minute. At the start of its turn each round, it can select one of the following bonuses: +10 feet to base land speed, +1 dodge bonus to AC, +1 insight bonus on attack rolls, or a +1 luck bonus on saving throws. Each bonus selected lasts for 1 round.

Sun Blessing
Blinding Strike (minor): At 1st level, you can create a flash of sunlight in the eyes of one of your opponents. The target is blinded for 1 round. If it succeeds at a Reflex saving throw, it's instead dazzled for 1 round. Creatures with light blindness or light sensitivity take a –4 penalty on this saving throw. This is a light effect. Sightless creatures are unaffected by this ability.

Equipment:
Chain Shirt
Silver-Colored Sling
40 Bullets
10 Silver Bullets
Backpack
Silver hand on a Necklace
Waterskin
25 feet of rope

Skills:

Heal: + 8
Climb: +7
Knowledge: Geography +6
Profession: Tailor +8

Racial Traits:
Fearless: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on all saving throws against fear. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by halfling luck.
Halfling Luck: Halflings receive a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
Warslinger Halflings are experts at the use of the sling. Halflings with this racial trait can reload a sling as a free action. Reloading a sling still requires two hands and provokes attacks of opportunity. This racial trait replaces sure-footed.
Low Blow Some halflings train extensively in the art of attacking larger creatures. Halflings with this racial trait gain a +1 bonus on critical confirmation rolls against opponents larger than themselves. This racial trait replaces keen senses.
Weapon Familiarity: Halflings are proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word “halfling” in its name as a martial weapon

Spell Loadout:
0s- Guidance, Create Water, Detect Magic, Resistance
1s - Magic Stone, Burning Disarm, Protection from Evil, Bless

Fluff:

Polmar was old enough to remember life before the giants. Not much of it, for he was but a wee lad when life as everyone knew it had changed. For Polmar's family, the instinct had always been to fight. the family had not been very religious prior to the calamity. Sure they said their prayers to wish for the harvest and before revelry. They warded off evils and damned some god or another when they hit their thumbs or poked themselves with their sewing tools. For that was what the Finn's had been. They were a family of tailors.

Polmar and his entire family very quickly became taken with the tale of Nuada Silverhand who no man could beat and who conquered his homeland at least twice to take it back from the evil gods. It felt to polmar like the halflings, and everyone else ought to follow in their footsteps. Of course, halflings being a bit wee to be going about whacking Giants with swords, Polmar took up the proud Halfling weapon of yore, the sling to train waiting for others to want to join with him in an expedition to the surface.

In the meantime, it became Polmar's existence that he was, in all honesty, a very average tailor. But he had a signature, one he hoped would spread hope and get people thinking about fighting. All of his works were silver embroidered and had a hand sewn in somewhere. Somewhere along this way, laboring so hard and praying and dreaming that Polmar noticed that Nuada had recognized him and began granting him powers.

Polmar used these gifts to help his community, creating water and food, helping to hunt down rats and other game with his now enhanced slinging abilities. Thus, it was only natural that when word went out of an expedition to the surface that Polmar was among the very first to sign up and the Finns held a modest feast in his honor when he was chosen. He knows very well how much is staked on this mission and the proud little Halfling wouldn't have it any other way.

Polmar stands are an even 3 foot tall, with shaved blonde hair and a mustache of golden brown. He dresses in simple leathers that are covered in his best homestyle silver embroidery the style favoring images of the sun and leaves.

Second Seekers (Roheas)

Has there been any progress on this?

Silver Crusade

A spots open?

Spot is now taken. Though if someone wants to play a pure blooded
Yuan-ti,
(Often the outcast in their society for being the most human looking.) I would go for that. Let me know.

Second Seekers (Roheas)

Nope. Im not really interested in playing a Yuan-ti.

Good Luck.

I would think someone would want to play a Yuan-ti.
I'll leave this up for a day or two more.

Yeah I know right? I'd be all over this if I didn't already have Rose in the game.

What? I was planning to kill that Yuan-Ti! :]

Last call to play a Yuan-ti.

Open?

Recruiting one person.

Does the group want anything in particular?

A healer would be nice. Though don't feel you have to be that to get in. I really want a interesting character that adds something to the experience.

Join the fun and joy! We've got a goblin in the party who could use more friends!

Far as I'm concerned it just needs to add to the group. Given it's a kingdom building I think your choice in skills is more important than hour class.

I was tentatively thinking of going for a Dhampir Bard, perhaps with the voice of the wild archetype, to represent her passion for retaking the land above ground / fixing any natural issues that arose after the mist. Not sure if that works with the theme of this game though.

The theme is survive, build and conquer through unity. I think what you have in mind would work fine.

Actually given that one of my big things right now is worrying about what kind of damage may have been done I think it fits quite well. But that's up to the GM, but to be clear if what I said affected your choice, I meant what skills you choose, not be a skillful character.

Decided I could do the nature theme by going druid, so heres the crunch for it. Sky Druid, freedom of the air, what could be more liberating?

** spoiler omitted **...

Looks good. No one else is jumping on this. And I think the folks in the game are waiting for a new recruit before moving forward. So your in. When your ready let me know and I will introduce your character in the gameplay thread.

Open to one new player.

Tentatively dot.

Just to warn you I am a. new to PbP and b. about to go out for the day so I am registering interest and if you haven't found someone by tonight when I can next post I'll get stuck in properly.

Hope that's ok! :)

Sure. It's midnight where I am, so not a big deal.

I remember doting this, but never got round to properly making the character...

No changes to character creation? Still Level 3 with basic gear? Considering this was back in July/August, I would of expected you to level up at least once or twice already.

BTW, what do you mean by 'Unchained Class skills'?

Background skills. And yes the group has leveled up so you would be allowed to start at four, so your not behind the party.

As for Unchained, we actually mean background skills that appeared in the Pathfinder Unchained.

Background skills

Thanks, Jalel.

Level 4 and Background skills, got it. Just when the Investigator is coming online...

Grand Lodge

any particular need as far as a role goes? got several ideas bumping around and it could help focus them.

Honestly, I don't thing your going to get a response.

If you look at the discussion page, Nikolaus has already introduced himself as the new player. Regardless of the fact that he hasn't posted a character here, none of the other have posted any characters, and the GM has said nothing about this at all.

Recruitment already seems to be over.

Yeah. This is weird. I don't know what's happening.

The person who I brought on communicated through PMs. Though I am cool taking on a couple more. As for a role a healer would be nice.

truly? I've been wanting to play this AP for a long time :D

not a very cool way to go about this.

what role did the selected person fill?
suppose I wanted to apply for that role?

I think that if you want to recruit for a game openly then you should require the applicants post openly and selections made fairly.

what roles were you looking for?

I had considered applying with a ranger idea, but wasn't sure yet but maybe that role just got filled? I don't know.

I fear that so far you may have turned away many prospective good players by the way this recruitment is being handled.

my advice right now would be to close recruitment and accept everyone that applied. weather they have a character or not.

i personally, am no longer interested in trying for this game.

AP? As far as I know this is pure homebrew.

Yeesh, pal. Anywho, I do apologize for that. I guess I was just wanting to get someone else in the game pronto, so I was doing a first come first serve approach. This is my first pbp campaign I have ever run so mistakes will be made. But as I said there were more slots. and this persons ideas were really cool to me. So yeah I took them on. As for not knowing which class or whatever you could have just asked what they chose (Slayer). I don't mind more than one type since the party is pretty balanced already, so you can only make it stronger.

Yep. Completely homebrew.

So presumably you're still accepting.

Do you allow Path of War content? Specifically the Mystic?

I am open to a lot of things. A yes the mystic is one of them. Though I would start your character in a different place, from the main party. But soon come across them.

We're level 4, right?

I'd be building a Kineticist 3/Mystic 1 if that helps. Might take me a few days though. Then again, it might not.
