I can still clearly remember the days we somehow managed to fight off the Giants. The days of the uneasy truce we held with other races. We were not able to do so with just our strength alone.

We will hold a debate Between the candidates August second. Each Candidate will get a time to make their election speeches, each on a separate day they get that whole day without other candidates interference to say why they should be chosen as duke, while answering the voters questions. This will take place in gameplay and in the games timeline would be about a month or so before the current event.

The Election speeches will happen in this order:

August First- Jalel

August second- The assassin.

August third- Benny

August fourth- Fury the tempest (If still interested)

You can vote for yourself.

If anyone else that has not made a character yet wants to be duke make yourself known.

It sounds like he does not agree with your stance so I doubt he will steal it.;)

But if he does you can always steal his. If he used both yours and his stances he would contradict himself.

Goblin chiefs do manage to keep entire tribes alive for a goblin lifetime.

So I wanted to tell you folks that this game will probably be fairly low key for a time. I won't have giants running rampant near you or tons of monsters swarming your home base. I was thinking at first it would focus more on you all getting used to your surroundings, foraging for basic resources. (wood, stone, metal, food and water)
And figuring out your roles and adapting to a new duke. Not that there won't be monster encounters at all, it will just be smaller things for a little while.

Just felt like sharing that info.

I must admit, my characters good nature may be put off by a typical Goblin approach...looking forward to Benny's starting approach after being around human's for so long.
Of course if Benny was a hunter like Talirin, he may feel more comfortable with a fellow cave explorer.

Benny is a hunter, but he's a user of blackpowder instead of swords and bows. He also has a habit of pickling almost everything he catches

I don't think you got my point. I don't care whether or not the goblin can wield the gun, I am talking about letting something as destructive as a goblin wield a gun. Raised by humans or no goblins tend to keep a lot of their destructive tendencies. That is the fun of playing a goblin. If your not going to be goblin like then why choose one?
Not to mention even though humans brought you all up it still has been a rough life with a lot of murder. Honestly the society below would become more goblin like in thinking then human with at times a fend for yourself and kill or be killed attitude not to mention a lot of folks went insane or sadistic.

Humans are easier to work with. They'll pick up gun training and mounted combat faster than gnolls would. I've got big plans

Yes but bluffing m way nto an army will give us a model for our soldiers, plus it never hurts to have more options. For Example, say we run into kobolds, and I bluff them into joining our side. We now have a series of tunnels to hide in and masters with traps. I'd Feel pretty safe then.
