As the sounds get nearer you can tell that there are actually 5 sets of footsteps you can hear, you still can't see anything because of the fog.

01-25 Acts normally
26-50 Does nothing but babble incoherently
51-75 Deals 1d8 points of damage + Str modifier to self with item in hand
76-100 Attacks nearest creature (for this purpose, a familiar counts as part of the subject’s self)

If a confused creature is attacked it keeps attacking the creature that attacked it.

Zavier holds off on his surprise action. He's quite interested in seeing what Sid's spell does! In fact he will delay his initiative to go last even when the regular rounds start.

Zavier would have wanted to jump in once upon a time, but he's learned there are a LOT of giants to watch. So he doens't mind being a spectator this time!

The big one hits that ogre, and he hits him back! This is fun fight to watch! Zavier is dissapoint in the two that are not fighting!

Assuming that the non-confused one is going to start looking for the source of the spell and the other two confused ones could act normally. Sid and Gallant are still ready for a fight.

So the Slag giant hits one of the ogres, two more babble. The uaffected one moves forward 10 feet and starts looking around for the source of the spell.
