Noticing Zane break out in a heavy sweat, Dash holds him up and gets out his med kit. ”Time for your medicine, big shot.”

Just before leaving the Hut, Zane gathers the others to pose for a tri-podded videcamera with delay shutter setting. The pose is right next to the TrampleRam, and it's the whole Blood and Fury gang.

Draka, do you think you can help make some print outs that Team Blood and Fury can autograph? The Zane wants to give one to Gretal for helping. She almost took a beating for reporting. While it was a set-up, it'd do her cold, dead heart some good to have an autographed picture of the greatest Team in the galaxy!

"So what's the plan? Maybe we need to do something about Zane here, he seems to be oozing more than usual..." Hospital time? How do we fix The Zane?

Vetch yawns. "Let's go back and rest. Get some sleep. Or back to the ship? Don't we have a nice med bay, Abe? Might as well use it," Vetch offers. "Either way, resting is what we should do. If we feel that the flat isn't safe enough, then sleeping in the ship might be better."

"What we really need is a place with some good air flow...because once that ghoul fever starts working on *The* Zane, it's not going to smell good."

Draka raises her scaley skin where there would be an eyebrow - if she had them. "Tiny mouse, Draka need people to sign waivers? Draka think that too much work. Draka kill whoever not want to be in videos."

At The Zane's request, Draka works with her companion on the ship, signing Blood and Fury prints. "Draka not willing to pay postage, but Draka like writing name." What the vesk lacks in grammar, she makes up for in her stylish signature. You think perhaps she's practiced writing her own name, many, many times.

As Dash patches up The Zane, Draka asks "Draka and Draka friends going to Nejeor?" [/b] The reptilian's outer eyelids blink, then her inner ones.

Zane- That will keep you on the weakened portion of the Physical disease track then.

The group helps Zane to his feet and walks with him a bit as his body fights off the nasty disease. For a second it gets better but then he starts to puke again.

Between Vetch and Dash the large Deathball player is able to walk on his own two feet again as there is still several hours of walking to go.

Still an hour out of the safety of Orphys the desolate Eoxian terrain turns macabre here, as the sloping land descends into a gaping canyon that stretches for dozens of yards. But instead of sheer cliffs of rock, towering piles of bones and skulls of all sizes and shapes form the walls of the gorge. At the ravine’s eastern end, a wide pool of bubbling green acid abuts a sheer cliff. Several flat, stepped rocks next to the pool approximate a stairway climbing to the top of the cliff.

DC 20 Culture:

Perhaps one of the most disconcerting sights between Orphys and the wild wastes beyond, Skullcap Gorge was once a small elebrian village that instantly became a graveyard when cataclysm struck Eox millennia ago. As the undead survivors tried to rebuild their planet in the aftermath, they gathered all of the village’s bones into two large piles. However, the sheer macabre volume of the remains—combined with the harsh landscape and the acid pools that spontaneously arose from the ground in several places—led the elebrians to eventually abandon this endeavor. The place soon became known colloquially as Skullcap Gorge, for obvious reasons, and the canyon has since become a hideaway for criminals and outlaws.

The starfinders enter from the west. The enormous walls of bone to the north and south are 50 to 60 feet high. A line of rocks separates the bottom of the gorge from the pool of acid; the rocks are difficult terrain, but they are not tall enough to provide any significant cover. The stepped rocks leading up to the top of the cliff to the east are each 2 to 3 feet tall with uneven surfaces, and they are considered difficult terrain. The cliff top is 20 feet above the bottom of the gorge.

Crouching on the steep stairway is an elebrian vampire, seeing you enter the gorge the vampire stands, a shimmering, translucent scroll rolls down, covering her face. Her soothing voice calls out.

“Petty, foolish, irritating Starfinders! All of the effort I spent to weave this deadly trap, and for what? To have you bumble through, unharmed and yet still so ignorant? Allow me to enlighten you. I am Captain Zeera Vesh, esteemed officer of the mighty Corpse Fleet—valiant navy of the true Eox—and you will go no farther. You’ve meddled enough in our plans. Now, I shall succeed where my lackeys have failed. I shall destroy you and bring glory to the Corpse Fleet once and for all!”

What you know of this type of Vampire:

Thanks to Ambassador Nor's messages you know this to be a Jiang-shi Vampire. They are able to heal quite quickly, Fast healing have resistance to most forms of weapons unless they have magical properties, DR/Magic the prayer scroll that you noticed on her brow grants immunity to any effects from spell gems or other items that store spells, as if the jiang-shi had unbeatable spell resistance. Though Jiang-shi Vampire's do have a few weaknesses. A jiang-shi is held at bay by cooked rice, mirrors, or ringing a handbell. It must stay at least 5 feet away from the object of its revulsion and cannot touch or make melee attacks against a creature brandishing such an object. Holding a jiang-shi at bay is a standard action.

Captain Vesh raises her fist and quickly brings it down. As she does so six bone troopers burst forth from the walls of bone behind you, cutting off any sort of escape. They each draw semi-automatic pistols. One of the bone troopers looks just like the description given of Harvinne Nessex, the flatmate of Gretal Rapinder.

Vetch passes wind and releases a magical perfume of fog on his companions. He treats them to a real magical scent as he leaves the crop dusting.

Captain Vesh bounds up the stairs with ease as the vampire seems to hop up them like gliding on the wind. As she does so she detaches her sniper rifle from the sling on her back. "Cheap tricks little mouse." She sets the scope to her eye and fires, aiming at the core of the group as she isn't quite sure where Vetch scampered off to.

Dash reaches over and supercharges Draka's hammer. It vibrates in her hands as the head begins to glow with a faint light of energy.

Each of the bone troopers spread out, their own pistols hum with similar power as they pour negative energy into their pistols. Each of them supercharges their pistols as well.

Most dive readily into the cloud of fog, eager to finish their trap.

The fog makes his weapon useless, and now he can’t see anyone to fight either. He just took a nasty shot and the fog didn’t seem to slow down the enemy, so he wonders, What the hell? Well, at least Vetch is safe. He shudders at what is coming at him through the invisible mist. He moves to the wall, and stumbles into an enemy.

He shouts out, ”Found one! S~%@.”

Messalina, hovering above it all, flies over Abe and shoots at the bone monstrosity next to him.

Zane looks forward to this combat. Mano - v- dead-mano in hand to bony hand combat. He advances, seeing that they supercharged their weapon -he is trying to get them to miss with that first and potent shot.
Zane is also looking to get close to them. Pin the trooper against a wall. Then press an attack to make certain that the trooper pays if they want to use their pistols.

He sees one through the mists of the clouds. He advances. Sword out- moving like a snake looking to draw the trooper into committing and then dodging.
Zane advances. Sees the bone trooper and goes total defense.
+4 AC . Minus 1 for Ghoulssickness.

I can't move Draka on my phone :( But she's headed towards yellow.

Round 1:

Draka moves towards the yellow enemy with her Swoop Hammer, screaming out her battle cry "RAAAAUGH!" She arcs the weapon above her shoulder with her approach. As she comes to a stop before the enemy, the vesk swings like a baseball player, aiming for the kneecaps.

Messalina covers the bonetrooper in coolant as Abe barrels out of the fog-like cloud that Vetch left in his wake. The cold freezing temperature has absolutely no effect on the skeletal bonetroopers. Immune to cold.

Zane skids in front of one of the bone troopers searching in the mist and looks like he is trying to juke out of the way to draw it's attention, but in fact Zane is staying on 100% defense.

Draka moves in and swings her hammer through the mist and misses as Harvinne leaps back. That to hit was a miss but don't forget your miss chance from the fog cloud.

@Vetch- Yea I have tried a couple of combat manuevers now which is the same result. Nearly impossible against heavy armor wearing folks, but shouldn't be too hard against most anything else (as long as you don't roll a 2. :))

Reflex: 3d20 ⇒ (18, 13, 1) = 32

The bone trooper sitting in the fog is half prepared as the force wave careens into him, the other two, not so much as they are nearly knocked from their feet.

Seeing shadows moving in the mist Captain Vesh pings another round into the fog.

Dash flies up out of the fog on his rocket boots and pops a giant gun from his glove. Pulling the trigger he fires a barrage of rounds up toward Captain Vesh.

Unfortunately, the gun is a bit too heavy for him and the recoil causes the shots to miss, flying off into space.

Air Dash is a holographic image 2 spell - Will vs DC 18
Real Dash is trying to stay hidden in the fog and put the image in a place to draw fire from the troopers.

Dash pops out of the fog. Those outside the fog train their sights on him as those in the fog and next to Abe are a bit too preoccupied to notice the assault from above.

OK, doing quite a bit of research on the matter this seems to be all over the place for a DC, but from what I can get a slim majority is just with straight stealth vs perception. SO I will roll with that for now to keep moving. Though keep in mind that this will also be affecting those within the fog attack those outside of it as you can see just as poorly. :) So your attacks will need the perception rolls to locate their square if more than 5 feet away.

@Abe- The cliff face is 20 feet tall.

Captain Vesh though she may have found one in the fog but was only chasing shadows.

Abe opens fire on the bone trooper and quicklt finds that they are not immune to the heat of his laser. Messalina's engines throb as she sputters to the top of the cliff. While Messalina's coolant doesn't do nearly the damage that Abe predicted it does seem to injure the vampire a small bit as rime forms on her arm and hand. Resistant to cold but not immune.

Zane rushes in to Abe's aid, his blade chips away at the brittle bone but ultimately it weakens the force behind his blow. DR.

Draka charges Harvinne and smashes her swoop hammer right into his skull. Bone chips go flying in all directions as his skull literally explodes, the hammer knocking him prone. Though at this point in his undead life he is dead once again.

Vetch fires a stream of acid that coats Abe's assailant. The acid slicks down the bone, melting it rapidly as the bonetrooper falls.

Captain Vesh's frozen hand quickly thaws. Fast healing and she takes aim at Messalina.

"Stay away from the fog and focus on the large one!" Captain Vesh calls out orders.

That Fog cloud definitely saved your guys' bacon! You were to be trapped in between waves of magic missiles and the sniper rifle.

As Zane barrels out of the fog amid an explosion of bones two of the bone troopers are startled and focus down on the more immediate threat as the third continues to circle and fire on Dash's hologram.

Leaving the confines of the fog Draka turns most of the brittle bone trooper to dust as the skeletal frame explodes from the force of her hammer.

With only a single target left Vetch fires his short ranged pistol. Even with the great distance between them Vetch is able to sear acid streaks across the bone troopers breast.

Dash ceases his concentration and lines up a shot across the field at the bone trooper in the green pants. His bullet snaps a rib bone clean off but doesn't do nearly as much damage as he would have thought. DR.

The bone trooper sends a smaller wave of missiles rocketing at Zane before he flees towards Captain Vesh.

Abe (double move) rounds the corner and nearly stumbles into another of them. Glancing up at the sniper, he then ducks back into the fog for now.

Messalina however crashes into the ground somewhere in the fog. ”Camera’s dead!” Abe shouts out, suspecting there may be those in the party who worry more about that then the outcome of the fight. He grins despite himself.

"Oh, and there's a guy over here too!" he adds just in case.
