Dash doesn't recall a whole lot about a 5th squadron, but it does sound like a squadron associated with a militaristic force such as the Corpse Fleet.
Dash sends a small swarm of nanobots at the ghoul. The nanobots swarm all over the undead but seem to get confused in their own right as they fall off onto the floor. Undead Immunity. Any effect that requires a fort save and immune to mind-affecting effects.
Vetch sneaks in and blasts one of the ghoul's right in the back with his new laser pistol, even with Dash standing right in his way.
Abe and Messalina both tear into the wounded ghoul as the blue eyed ghoul claws up at Messalina.

The bites take their toll on The Zane as his body shakes and begins to cold sweat. The Zane hadn't felt sick in quite a while but Eox has brought something terrible to the once mighty warrior as his stomache turns.
Physical Disease Track is now Weakened- You now have Ghoul Fever fighting you and are Sickened and Fatigued.
Vetch hammers away at the foul ghouls before they can tear into the Zane much further. The ghoul is knocked back but still stands as it's arm is torn free from the force of the bolts.

Draka moves to give herself ample room to swing her weapon. See map. The large, bulky - yet feminine - vesk backs up into a chair and swings towards the blue ghoul's skull. "No eat robot!" The Swoop Hammer's handle sparkles with the applied glitter accompanied with a flash of red claws gripped around it.
Draka has confidence in her Blood and Fury companion, The Zane, so her attention is decidedly focused on her other companions. 'Tis but a scratch! ...Probably.

Nevermind on the paralysis Abe. Messalina is a construct and immune. That is my fault. Didn't think it sounded right at all so had to look it up again. Messalina will get her actions.
@Draka- No need to roll for Paralysis once you break it. I just happened to find that little tidbit underneath the cookie cutter ghoul in the back of the book so I rolled it for the round 2. It is a full round action to break but what else do you have to do when frozen in time :)

He feels a bit queezy.
ooohhhh the stomach burbles.
Wrar.Ungh.
Just moments ago, Zane felt his usual "Zane level" of greatness. But then he starts feeling some gastric distress. If his intestines could writhe and coil , they would.
He has his hands on his sword, fending off these ghouls and trying to hack off limbs, but a part of his brain goes to a little pink bottle that's in his medkit. After all these years of cutting edge medicine, all the scientific advances, all the alien cultures and what they have contributed.... there's the comfort and soothing that the pink bottle still affords. Pure, Simple, Pink.
Zane not feeling well, but knowing he has some "back up in the back pack" swings his sword to take down the enemy and grab some relief.

Dash sends his own missiles into the room before backing out to the safety of the Eoxian streets. Abe's shot misses, taking out a chunk of plaster as Messalina fires a point blank shot at the ghoul.

Draka's hammer swoops in, caving in one of the ghoul's skulls. Its eye bursts open send a yellow ooze trickling down the undead's face.
The Zan'e shaky hands can barely hold his blade, let alone hit one of the more agile undead.
"Let's go!" The undead ram past Zane, pushing him into the wall as they retreat.

@Draka- can't charge as Zane is in you path.
Pulling his rifle out of a mystical pocket dimension Dash Forrest Gumps the blue-eyed ghoul. Though this wound definitely won't get him any presidential commemoration.
Vetch stows his weapons and goes into hiding as Messalina drops way more coolant than necessary. The green-skinned ghoul freezes in place. It's core center of gravity off balance causes the ghoul to topple. As it hits the ground the ghoul breaks and shatters, leaving pieces all over.
Draka clips the red ghoul in the kneecap as it attempts to flee. Chasing after the gimped ghoul Draka taunts Larex as she breaks his other leg.
Zanes stomach gurgles and the ghouls push right past him and out the back door.

And so he does. He darts past Abe and Dash to clean up the ghouls.
Zane is fleet of foot and his speed gets him right near the ghoul in Blue and also right next to the one in Red.

The Zane barely holds his lunch in as he wobbles out the door, feeling like he has been hit worse than any Deathball match he has played in.
The blue ghoul shoves off of Zane and ducks back into a dark alley, disappearing from sight as the red ghoul calls out, clawing at Zane. "Every ghoul for themselves, huh Welles?"

Only a single ghoul manages to escape down the alleyway as Draka catches the second with her swoophammer. The hammer smashes into the side of the ghoul's head crushing it into the wall, where it splits open like a Gallagher watermelon.
Combat Over.
With the ghoul's chased off or killed the skeletal bone trooper woman peeks out from behind the couch cushion. Her lifeless, hollow eyes filled with a strange blue magic. Her jaw clatters and shakes.
"Thank you for the help. Corpse Fleet activity seems to be increasing around here lately it seems. My..my name is Gretal."
Although Gretal’s appearance is rather unsettling, she is relatively friendly.

"Draka want to know why ghouls after Gretal. ...Also, Gretal follow Draka online. Draka up and coming vidstar. Maybe Gretel hear about BLOOD AND FURY? What Gretal think about Draka manicure?" the vesk shows off her hotrod red nail polish

Gretal shakes a bit. "I reported Harvinne to the Ministry. Sorry, I am just a bit shaken on how this became public knowledge and those soldiers found out about it. I just wanted to do what is right."
She stands up and goes into her flatmate's room, grabbing a worn journal page. Upon examining the journal scrap, you learn that Harvinne planned to meet with something called “the marrowblight” before taking up her illicit commission in the Corpse Fleet.
She stares at you with those cold, lifeless eyes. "I used to serve in the Eoxian military. 5th Squadron with those three ghouls. They were not part of the Corpse Fleet, though I can only assume that they were paid off. Why else would they have done this?"
She grabs a set of armor and removes a circuit from the chest. "I don't have much but wanted to thank you for saving me. She hands you the circuit. Haste Circuit upgrade. [b]“I was hanging on to this as a souvenir of my time in the service,” Gretal says. “Honestly, though, I have no use for it anymore, and it will likely help you more than it would ever help me. But let it be a reminder—not all of us who’re dead are bad!”

He'll accept her circuit and puts it off to the side for now, "Do you know what this is? The marrow blight? Ring any bells with you? Do you know why she wanted to join up with the corpse fleet?" he asks her.

Is there a check to look up the marrowblight on it? Right about now is when I remember I don't understand the basic rules of 'civilization' in Starfinder. In Pathfinder, in a town, we might go to a library or college to ask questions...is there a similar option here, with computers?

Vetch smiles a sad smile. He's honestly trying to see these undead as people, rather than something less worthwhile, like goblins who should be eradicated without delay.
"Thank you for your gift. You undead clearly better than goblins, definitely," Vetch agrees. "We'll see what we can do about the rest and Harvinne."
Vetch looks confused.
"Can you tell us anthing more about Harvinne? We don't know much about her." Did a search for 'Harvinne' and it showed two post for Harvinne...both of recent...so all we have is a name from the report.

Gretal pays Zane little mind as she ignores his channel.
Do you know why she wanted to join up with the corpse fleet?
"Can you tell us anthing more about Harvinne? We don't know much about her."
"Harvinne was quiet. Mostly kept to herself. She would come and go for errands at all hours of the night. It wasn't unusual so I didn't think much on it until she didn't come back." She hangs her head down, worried.
Do you know what this is? The marrow blight?
Gretal shrugs. "Sure I know what it is. I just have not heard of a prominent marrowblight that is locally associated with the Corpse Fleet is all."

Dash Arcbright |

Dash takes a minute to pose heroically as the ghouls flee. He stows his rifle with a flourish, then repositions Messalina to get a second angle of the cool move. Then a close up for coverage.
He arrives to the conversation late.
”Marrowblight?” He asks. ”What the f@#% is that and what does it have to do with the Corpse Fleet?”

Gretal explains what she can as she pills up Eoxiam wikipedia on the computer. "Marrowblights are muscular undead monstrosities filled with hate. They typically arise from brawny humanoids that were exposed to strange radiation or arcane energy that painfully warped their flesh at the moments of demise, creating hideous bone spurs that protrude from the creatures’ backs, cheeks, jaws, and shoulders. Marrowblights can use these spurs as weapons, as they drip with the disease that courses through the creature’s undead bones like marrow."
"Marrowblights are typically 8 to 10 feet tall—including the horrific bone spurs that protrude from their backs—and weigh upward of 300 pounds" That's all it says on them.
What the f@#% is that and what does it have to do with the Corpse Fleet?”
"I don't know. That is why I reported it. Hoping that the Ministry would look into it. That was weeks ago!" Her skeletal jaw is set firm with annoyance at how long bureaucracy takes.

After a couple minutes, Zane is having too much difficulty in his bowels.
He walks up to Dash.
Hey Coach, Mind if you call a Time Out and see if the Personal Trainer can get on the field to take a look at one of your star players? There's a little discomfort that might not be proper for the ladies or the viscreen.
Zane is going to see if he can get some help about the Ghoultouch. He'll take a large swig of Pepto, and he does have some healing items in his pack. But, he thinks the others have better skills and 'quipment to tackle this.

Vetch listens as the marrowblight creation myth is explained.
"Man, we should be careful then to monitor how *The* Zane dies, he'd be perfect as one," Vetch conjectures. "They sound nasty. Luckily, with *The* Zane and Draka, we have the Merryfight twins...we should be able to take it down."
Vetch claps his paws, rubbing them together.
"So...we need to find Harvinne and possible take down a marrowblight. No problem. Where do we start?"

Aerav Brack Elijea |

"Gretal, do you have anything else to add? We will investigate, but you've not given us much to go on. Still, it's more than we had, so that's something. Thank you."
He listens patiently for any additional information, and heads out the door into the street. Once the party is alone, he suggests, "Let's follow up the other lead. Maybe we'll learn more about this marrowblight - if they're connected at all."
He looks over his shoulder at Gretal's place, "I bet she knows something that'll be helpful, we just need to know what question to ask."
He heads off to Sethrot Commons when the group is ready. He takes a moment to save off Gretal's testimony to the hard drive before he goes.

The Zane |

Zane hears what Vetch says, and while it could be taken the wrong way, Zane certainly doesn't. He smiles. His name and perfect in the same sentence sounds like an unending compliment.
He still waits for medical attention, but he feels just a bit better after being described as an 8 foot tall monstrosity.

Dash Arcbright |

Dash looks The Zane up and down, notices bite marks.
”I’d say walk it off, but Vetch has a point - then we’d probably have two moronblights to deal with.” Dash gives Messalina a “look” designed for a laugh track or womp womp to be edited in later. He then digs a medkit out from his pack and sprays the wound with something that stings like rubbing alcohol and smells like window cleaner. ”This should boost your immune system. Let me know if anyone starts to look tasty, hmm?”

Skill notes:
You can use Medicine to treat a creature suffering from a disease. This takes 10 minutes and requires a medkit, a medical lab, or a medical bay on a Starship. Every time the diseased creature attempts a saving throw against the disease, you can attempt a Medicine check. If your result exceeds the DC of the disease, the creature receives a +4 bonus to its saving throw against the disease.
Dash glances over at Draka’s laugh, wondering if she just got his joke, but finds her staring off at some inner thought. He’s not sure which is more disturbing, a marrow-blighted Zane, or Draka smiling in full make-up.
”Oookay..”
He stows his kit and nods to Abe. ”All right, let’s go before sh!t gets weird.”

The Zane |

Stinging like alcohol, and smelling like window cleaner is the exact way medicine should be. Zane feels better and smiles. He isn't certain that Coach's remarks were entirely ...umm... kind... but he decides to assume that this disease would hollow out his hippocampus and Dash was just commenting about how he doesn't want Zane to be dead.Or Brainless.
Zane might be extra sensitive about comments regarding his intelligence. Except for the fact that on their flight to Eox he bathed in how everyone raved about Zane's smarts and battle prowess on the message tweets, especially now that Draka has filmed it as a part of her show. He's popular and people like him.
Speaking of show... the show must go on!
Thanks Coach. The Zane is ready to go back into the game. Where to now ABE? Just direct and The Zane will be in the lead - there's obviously going to be trouble at our next spot.

He pulls out his Laser rifle Bubba. When Messelina flies near him, Zane gives her a laser barrel to laser barrel high five and says, Nice fighting in there! You were bad ass. One of those ghouls smacked you to the ground, but you gyro'd up and shot back at that ghoul shouting " THIS IS MY JAM!".
He ends his compliment with another laser barrel high five.

The Zane nearly grabs ahold of her skeletal hand and guides the arrow to the browser page himself, signing her up for Blood and Fury. Draka's personal comm pings with a message. You have 1 new follower!
"Gretal, do you have anything else to add? Where do we start?"
"Not that I know I reported all I could think of."
The group gathers their information and heads back out to the streets as The Zane walks hunched over as if in severe constipation. Dash pulls out a few bandages and unsympathetically gives the man a boost to his immune system.
Your next saves get an additional +4 Zane. Unfortunately though won't be until the next day.
Zane still sweats and grows shaky the more time that passes. Turning back to Carpulspur Street the group heads back to Fleshworn Fabrications.
Tall metal walls behind a chainlink fence and wide, looming
security gates mark this as some sort of industrial facility. Inside the gates is a massive metal-and-concrete platform resting at the bottom of an enormous elevator shaft. The edges of circular pools or vats containing some strange undulating substance are barely visible behind the fence, sunk deeply in the ground. A sign that reads, “Attention visitors: Call for agent,” hangs above an intercom on one side of the gates.
Pushing the button no one answers. It looks as if the Factory is closed for the day and will be back open again in the morning.

Vetch can't help but notice *The* Zane just being regular Zane or even just zane. The ysoki takes a moment while *The* Zane rests to examine the man and trying to help.

"Hey, you don't look so good. C'mere, let me uh...lemme look..." Vetch will cast both lesser restoration and remove lesser condition.
Vetch pats *The* Zane on the back, happy to add his own ministrations to that of Dash. "That better? At all? It's the least I could do.." Vetch utters, actually realizing he could do less if he wanted. Like if he was an android or some such s$$~.

Vetch will again scout around the building, not breaking in, but doing a thorough scan of the outside for things of interest or weird things.

"So Draka and Draka friends eat? Draka feel like Draka can eat entire space shark." The vesk watches as the toe-less yoski cares for The Zane. "Maybe The Zane could get scales. Draka have scales. Scales work pretty well on Draka," the vesk comments. She's clearly a master of small-talk.

Before leaving the factory Vetch scampers all around the fence's perimeter. He finds nothing out of the ordinary or even threatening. It looks like a simple factory. Fairly maintained and a bit wore down. The building itself could use a bit of care.
Wandering around a few of the streets Abe surprisingly finds a Waffle House. It's sign half lit and the tables greasy enough to cook on it almost seems like a mirage out in the desert.
The lights flicker inside as an overweight human man fries up a grill full of bacon for the day. A pan of sausage gravy simmers on the corner as biscuits prepare in the oven.
Taking a seat he stops what he is doing at the grill for a moment and silently hands you each a heavily stained menu that was barely wiped down with a equally stained rag. The menu clings to Vetch's fur.
Looking over the menu and waiting Vetch looks at The Zane's injury a bit further and helps alleviate the sickness and fatigue for the night.
