Zane takes a small step back and jams a serum pack into his mouth. This gives Draka a moment to line up her charge. Though it is a null and void as Vetch corona laser sears right through Trampleram's brain. The ellicoth stumbles another step before the fragile looking legs finally give out and it falls face first into the dust.

What's left standing before you is the skin shack. This bizarre, circular hovel appears to be made from stretched, cured skin wrapped around a frame of massive bones. A front door hewn from sickly wood stands ever so slightly open.

”Good job, The.” Dash pats the Zane on the back, accidentally (on purpose) targeting one is his karma-earned wounds. ”Ughh. Let’s see if we have enough thread to stitch that sh!t closed. Vetch, give me a paw here.”

Treat Deadly Wounds
You can use Medicine to restore Hit Points to a living, wounded creature. This takes 1 minute, and the DC is based on the medical equipment used. If you succeed at the check, you restore 1 Hit Point per level or CR of the creature you are treating. If you exceed the DC by 5 or more, you add your Intelligence modifier to the amount healed. A creature can receive this treatment only once every 24-hour period, unless it is delivered in a medical lab. Most medical labs allow you to treat a creature’s deadly wounds at least twice per day.

Vetch tries his own medicining to help *The* Zane.

Vetch looks over the wounds. "Zane, I'm not going to lie to you. This is pretty messy. Looks like your infected wounds are infected with radiation. Not often do you see an infection atop an infection, but you've done it. It's pretty impressive, really...man, you might make a medical journal with all the stuff you got going on in here," Vetch says, rooting around in Zane's wounds.

Given 10 minutes, Vetch will restore 30 hp to *The* Zane.

Looking over the Mystic spell list, I don't think Vetch has a cure for weakened.

Vetch will avoid getting too close to the beast, fearful of the radiation.

But he will slink to the door to peer around when others are ready.

He then sits down and reworks the stitches that Dash applied. Not saying a word about the [strike]crappy[/strike] craftmanship.

Abe takes a few more steps out of the radiation field before taking a deep, slightly raspy, breath. "OK then. Am I the only one here who feels a little setup? This thing looked at us, then attacked us. Seems like that'd be something you'd know if you knew anything about these creatures."

"I wonder if we were sent out here to die." He checks his gear and binds up his slight radiation burns.

When the party has rested, he proceeds to the entrance, weapons out, Messalina flying nearby, and both ready to cut down anything that moves...

@Vetch- The weakened isn't a condition it is the track that Zane is currently on for the Ghoul Fever. Pg 414 of CRB. Zane is currently on the Physical Disease Track.

@Zane- Keep your Field Fix for later as Vetch's healing touch topped you off.

Dash and Vetch patch up their two companions that seem intent on dying a horrific death by supplying their bodies as meatshields.

Once the group is content and rested enough Vetch and Abe investigate the entrance to the shack. Xerantha’s shack is fairly threadbare and devoid of any items of obvious value. In fact, the whole place amounts to a collection of junk that is either furniture crafted from preserved organic body parts or mostly worthless trophies.

You hear a faint, infrequent scuffling sound as something shifts slightly in a cramped hiding place near the back of the shack.

Messalina hovers into the center of the skin hut as the group begins to call out Xerantha. A harsh and semi-crazed voice sounds from the back of the hut, behind a hoarders dream of boxes. "Breathers come to my home....my home...kill my Trampleram..." A marrowblight, presumably Xerantha, leaps out from behind the boxes at Messalina. Her muscular frame easily handles a street sweeper as a dozen bone spurs painfully hang from her back and shoulders.

Xerantha moves with lightning speed as she slams past Messalina. The drones stabilizing thrusters being the only thing keeping the drone aloft. Part way through the room Xerantha leaps high in the air landing right next to everyone. Her bone spurs twitch and bob as she lands. The look red and swollen with infection. "More trophies for the collection."

The vesk makes an indecipherable noise when the undead pops out. "AARAG!!" Draka takes a five foot step back so she has room to swing. The Swoop Hammer arcs above her shoulder before the vesk powers the swing, down towards Xerantha. "RAAAUUGH!"

When the others in his group - correctly and smartly- leave the area, Zane bursts forward. Frustrations from a wave of disrespect spilling over and FINALLY - FINALLY getting an outlet.
He had put on a good front for the past couple hours, but things had been eating him up inside. He wanted to do some proving to the outside world his worth to the team.

With the power that Dash put into the blade. The vibrating energy that was so palpable Zane could eat it off the blade like skree-butter.

He steps up and swings.

Zane steps up to the plate and strikes out. Draka's channel is going to get plenty of comments over this mission's episode.

Vetch stumbles back firing into the ground as Abe's shot narrowly misses the hulking marrowblight. Messalina, not much in her programming of shooting companions, doesn't seem to factor in the statistics and fires a stream of coolant that cripples on of the spurs on Xerantha's back.

Draka swings her swoophammer in, breaking Xerantha's arm as the thickened bone protrudes out of her skin.

Dash summons a swarm of microbots to assault the marrowblight. Xerantha swats at the tiny microbots and leaps out of the swarm. pouncing on Draka, Abe and Dash. Provoke from Zane and Draka.

Hoping for some vindication, Zane shuffles his feet to get into attack position. Then the thing moves to pounce on the others in his reality-vidcast show. So Zane swings with all his might.

@Dash- Where are you moving the microbots to as there isn't a spot you won't also get allies?

Zane redeems himself as he wrecks a whole side if the hermit's back. Vetch peppers her with his trusty space magic that defies the laws of space and time.

Abe takes a step back and burns a hole onto Xerantha's leg and she howls in pain as black puss squirts out.

Draka crushes her leg with her hammer and the bone splinters at an angle that even makes an android what to lose his fluids.

Xerantha tumbles to the dirt, dropping her thunderstrike streetsweeper. She looks up to Draka and Zane with such malice in her eyes as she claws the ground. "Go ahead breather. Do what you came her to do. Kill me."

@GM: the microbot spell is a little confusing. It starts in a 10’ square, but can break into 5’ segments to harass multiple foes. There is only one for now, but the spell also says it somehow knows which creatures are enemies, which makes me think it doesn’t hinder allies regardless of position. Since it takes concentration to maintain I’m starting to think it is not a very good spell.

”We didn’t come here to kill you, dumb@ass.” Dash says. One of his microbots aggressively bonks Xerantha on the head. ”Unless you’re working with the corpse fleet and causing trouble in the city. Then, maybe.”

That's fine. It sounds like you can break off a section of drop it on allies unhindered then. It is a decent debuff along with a buff for your allies so not bad.

Xerantha's head bobs as the microbots give her a smack. "If I am anything it is loyal to my kind artificial breather." She rasps, her body broken and leaking the black ichor. "The living don't belong here."

Not much for talking Vetch hammers her with point blank magical missiles. At such close range the first one tears her jaw clean off and the next two break her neck. Xerantha slumps to the ground. Dead once again.

Draka rests her weapon on her shoulder, gently tapping it against her armor. With her other hand, Draka fidgets with her communicator. "Draka not going to be focus of this StarTube video, but maybe expand viewership."

"Draka show teaser trailer for bigger video compilation," the vesk explains. "Draka show shot of big beast and shot of jumping spider zombie."

The vesk turns so her back is to the building and lifts up her communicator. "Oh. Hello, Draka fans." Draka shakes her head as if she's getting some invisible strand on hair away from her face. "Draka and Draka friends out on top secret mission. Draka not able to talk about it. Shh! But Draka tell fans Draka on the hunt. Here clip of Draka latest encounter." The vesk pulls the communicator down and presses a few replay buttons. The clips favor Draka's 'better' contributions and end with Xerantha jumping out of her hiding spot. "Like and subscribe for all the latest Blood and Fury! And comment on who Draka fans think gave killing blow: Draka, The Zane, ship whisperer, Captain Robot, or tiny mouse." Draka smiles, revealing her sharp, pointy teeth.

Should there be a few eyes looking for clues on more Corpse Fleet activity?

He doesn't seem at all worried that Xerantha is dead. All the chances were given when they had the loud fight with the TrampleRam. That was clue enough that the authorities were on her doorstep.

Quickly losing interest in actually turning over household items. Zane does notice the Thunderstrike Streetsweeper.

Hmmm. A Solid T.S. that she was packin.
Allows to amp up a shot by engaging a turborouter over an audio vortex. This Streetsweeper is decent tech.
It's a sonic weapon and a Longarm. Any of you want to use something like that?

The Zane can look and make certain the tourborouter isn't faulty. They make the TS's fairly well, but there's about one in seven that just has a wonky turborouter and drains the battery like a Chisshumper.

Zane doesn't want it. He likes Laser weapons. But, it's probably prudent to have this as someone's weapon since maybe an enemy could be susceptible to sonic damage and this is a hefty sonic gun.

Draka works on a preview for the next episode of their show as Zane stomps through the cluttered hut.

That is a thunderstrike streetsweeper with 2 high-capacity batteries (40 charges each)

Xerantha’s shack is fairly threadbare and devoid of any items of obvious value. In fact, the whole place amounts to a collection of junk that is either furniture crafted from preserved organic body parts or mostly worthless trophies from intruders the marrowblight has defeated in recent years.

However, after several long minutes of searching Zane finds a datapad with a cracked screen sitting atop a pile of the marrowblight’s personal belongings.

Abe's search proves a bit more fruitful. A sack made from the dried organ of some creature hidden behind one of the load-bearing bones in the building’s frame. The sack holds a jumbled stash of more than a dozen credsticks, some bent or bloodstained, taken from Xerantha’s slain foes. All together, the credsticks contain a total of 7,080 credits.

Vetch curses a bit, whether from having a new nickname or having delivered the killing blow, he is uncertain.

”I didn’t mean to kill it, only mostly kill it. Ah gapborn goblinbugger,” Vetch curses and begins to search the lair. ”I don’t suppose it matters too much.” He feels much more regret at killing this undead and the beast than he would killing a goblin.

He hopes Abe can get the computer to work.

Zane smiles when Draka does her intro to the next installment of Blood and Fury. That's because that is where SorynBurst will have to eat crow for he/she/it's messageboard comments.

Then he too waits for ABE to do his hack-a-do work on the cracked comm unit. That thing will lead Team Blood and Fury to their next enemy.
It's a forgone conclusion, the show needs a steady stream of entertainment and this room just got it's "find out next week" when Vetch shot out his space missiles.

Abe, this comm thing needs your special abilities. Tell the rest where the Corpse Fleet is -so (re)killing can be done.

Vetch crestfalls at the other new title he had just earned. He tried to avoid the killing, especially being the killing blow, but he saw that it was his spell that did the final damage.

If he feels the device is safe to turn on at this point he does so, and tries to see what there is to learn. However, if he’s uncertain, he waits until he can do further repairs.

While he’s fidgeting with the data pad he glances at the longarm and says, ”I’ll pass on the sonic thingy for now. It’s tempting, but it would overload me, and it doesn’t hold enough charges for Messalina. No, it’s just not my style, but bring it and we can sell it.”

When Vetch considers the undead things motives, he adds, "It was undead. They're all a little off when it comes to, ah, breathers, or first born."

Abe is able to mend the computer enough to hack into it's simplistic password with ease.

The datapad reveals that Xerantha has indeed been colluding with the Corpse Fleet for a long time, and it contains detailed notes from the marrowblight’s earlier meeting with Captain Zeera Vesh.

Xerantha,

A small cell of Starfinders seem be be on out trail for several weeks now. They found the container aboard the derelict Acreon mining vessel and delivered it to Ambassador Nox (Book 1). It was assumed they were merely a loose end. Now it seems they need to be eliminated.

They managed to escape our ambush in the Diaspora, but there is no chance that the Starfinders will follow us to Nejeor, given that I erased that data from the Devourer Cult's datacore. Their only course will be to Eox to search for more clues, especially since our spies on Absalom Station have confirmed that the Starfinder Society Chiskisk has recently met with Ambassador Gevalarsk Nor multiple times.

The Corpse Fleet has seized the opportunity to set a clever trap and the Corpse Fleet needs your aid as a loyal supporter. You will work alongside a bone trooper by the name of Harvinne Nessex. Make it appear as if the Corpse Fleet is very active in Orphys with witness reports to the Ministry of Eternal Vigilance. Harvinne will leave an obvious clue behind that will prompt his flatmate to file the report. I will steal synthetic flesh from the Fleshworn Fabrications, leaving a badge at the scene, sprinkling some of your pet's she osteoderms around for good measure. Between these I hope to lead them your way to their deaths.

Dash doesn’t know whether to be impressed that The Zane knows anything about Deathball, or irritated that he hardly knows anything about Deathball. Everyone knows the sport is based on a trinary system that scores three, not four.

He turns to head back to the city. ”Pretty sure Vesh is on Nejeor with the Corpse Fleet. Let’s get back to the sh!tty place these zombie-f@#%ers call civilization and find out where it is.”
