Ali picks up the gem, and does one of those "I'm totally cool" neck rolls. Even though she was not alone and was clearly assisted, THIS fight, at least, showed her to be badass, decisive, and effective.

Very well done nice Metallica Reference
Good job everyone. So that's the second gem that looks like that? Hmm, wonder if it's some kind of pass key or key stone to denote agents of this Teb Knotten
Bookeeping Ali heal 5 more to full. Edward to 6hp

Davosh the Wanderer |
What kind of skill check would it be to compare the two in order to see if they're cut the same way (possibly the same person?) or are they obviously different beyond their material?
"Each splash of blood in the snow is another compelling reason to get to the eye of this storm. We should move froward, ever forward."
GM thunderspirit |
You guys still have the other gem, right? I'd call comparing the two a Perception check.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |
Ed: I'm embarrassed to ask, but were you talking to me about a Metallica reference? Because...*whoosh* <--the sound of that going over my head
I'd call comparing the two a Perception check
I'll call your percetion, and raise you an Appriase check (because my mod is higher)!! (subtract 1 if you don't buy that)
Appriase: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Davosh the Wanderer |
"Kappi, take a look at these my boy. You're eyes are elf-sharp."
Kappi's Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Nah, he was talking about this post, where I linked to a YouTube video. Cos I'm a geek like that. :-)
DMTS wrote:I'd call comparing the two a Perception checkI'll call your percetion, and raise you an Appriase check (because my mod is higher)!! (subtract 1 if you don't buy that)
Sure, why not? At the very least, it can work as an Aid.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |
"Kappi, take a look at these my boy. You're eyes are elf-sharp."
Ali gives Davosh a sharp look. HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW
GM thunderspirit |
Kappi and Ali look at the gems side by side. They are very similar.
Ali estimates them to be around the same gold piece value. Kappi doesn't see any specific markings, but notes that the cuts are very much the same.
The ambush past, the party helps Vojtek off the icy surface of Wishbone Creek and makes their way across the bridge.
The land on this side of Red Run Gorge is rugged highland. The trail leading to and from the lodge up High Ridge is less pronounced here, but a fair amount of foot traffic still makes following the trail relatively easy. Most of the tracks appear humanoid, though there are a few animals as well.
As you crest High Ridge, the forest seems to have grown quiet here. Even the wind has become still as snow softly begins to fall through the stark branches overhead. Tracks, human-sized but oddly misshapen, mar an otherwise unblemished trail through the trees.
Davosh the Wanderer |
"Liska my pet, do you feel anything dangerous here? Do you sense woe?" Davosh encourages Liska to check the area near and along the tracks.

Gotcha, thanks.

The young rogue is puzzled for a moment by Davosh's strange words. Though quickly recognizing his mage armor spell as a signal for danger he pulls out his favorite tomahawk.

Neither Ali nor Kappi see or hear anything from where they currently are.

Altered the permissions on the map, so please feel free to move yourselves as desired, up to the point where Liska is on the map.
Edward W.Fell |
Nice.. HAPPY Birthday!!! So for your birthday it looks like Paizo ate at least two posts from yesterday. one from myself, and one from DMS. I will recreate them below. Not verbatim, but close.
Edwards missing post. I notice that if we can't go beyond Liska than there would only be one open space on the map. That doesn't follow our movement and spacing SOP, so if it's ok with you, I placed myself in an approx position off the map. That is if everyone wants to be in front of me. If that's not where I should be in the marching order than please change it around.
DMS's post: I moved some pieces around on the map
GM thunderspirit |
Yes, tis true...Saturday I turned 39 (again)! LOL
Nice to have the Paizo boards back, huh?
From where Kappi is, he doesn't see anything (except Liska, shaking just a bit).
GM thunderspirit |
Creeping up in front of the arctic fox, Kappi sees a blue-tinged skeleton draped with tatters of unfamiliar clothing among the trees ahead. It does not appear to have noticed you.
Davosh the Wanderer |
Undeath! An abomination again. Let us send them to their place amongst their own ancestors.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |
Maybe we should spread out a little, and make enough noise so it comes to us. and, there's probably more than just the one...
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |
Ali pulls out her sling, and stands back and to the side of Vojtek. She jerks her head to Davosh to get between her and the warrior.
GM thunderspirit |
Reminder: moving through the trees off the path counts as double movement.
Once Edward places his pog, we will move Kappi forward.

Edward has placed his pog, just further back on the trail we are comming down. As stated above. I really don't want to have move penalties since I'm 20' move anyway and there isn't anywhere on the trail that would have him 2nd in the marching order and maintain spacing
GM thunderspirit |
At your spot on the map, Kappi notices two more skeletons clad in much the same attire. They do not appear to be moving.
Kappi Matarito |
The young rogue turns back to the guy behind him. He holds up 3 fingers and hopes it is understood that there are 3 badguys.
He turns back and pulls his head scarf just a little lower and keeps creeping forward. Kappi has his holy water ready for the undead but keeps his eyes wary for other danger.
If the skellies dont move then he will move 2 square directly north. Wait for his comrades to get a little closer then throw the holy grenade targeting the middle one.
GM thunderspirit |
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Kappi seems to have the skeletons flat-footed.
Sneak attack dice will apply!
Davosh the Wanderer |
Davosh lets loose a battle cry. It's a poor imitation of Vojtek's, but the exultation is no less genuine.
RAGING VOJTEK!!!! |
Vojtek is certain Davosh is channeling the Ancestors, and flies into a rage himself!
GM thunderspirit |
Kappi's holy bomb finds its mark, striking the frost skeleton full in its face and sending its spirit back to Pharasma!
Each of its companions takes a point of splash damage as well!
Initiative!
Ali: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Vojtek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Ali 22
Edward 21
skellies 19
Davosh 8
Kappi 5
Vojtek 5
Ali, Edward, and Davosh each get a surprise round standard action, then Ali and Edward can take their regular turn in round 1!

I move up to Kappi. "NICE WORK MY BOY! Show them what fate brings our foes."
