Yep. Though it was closer than "sails past harmlessly," to be fair. :-)

w00t! Rohkar continues to fight!
Ali's blade crashes into the skeleton. Even though not all of the damage seems to go through, it is more than enough to end its unlife.
Edward casts another spell, desperate to keep both he and the barbarian alive.
Kappi is up. Is he away for the time being?

Kappi Matarito |

Round ?
The young lad enjoyment of a fight is quickly diminished. Suddenly he is attack by both a nightmare pile of walking bones AND his comrade Vojtek. Desperately dodging both attacks he turns back and tries bash the skeleton with the back end of his tomahawk.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Tomahawk (blunt back end) 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Vojtek Wartooth |

Huh? Vojtek shakes his head and his eyes widen as he realized he had been attacking his new friend Kappi.
Forgive me! I was not myself… Vojtek wonders if his rage blinded him to Kappi's identity as an ally or if there was more to it. The White mindlessly ravaged his village time after time, despite the overtures of worship from the elders. Vojtek wondered if perhaps the bestial anger he immersed himself in was the same.

Kappi Matarito |

Kappi, you got that stack 'o bones? /bigger]
The lad curses under his breath as he missed taking the skeleton's head off. Yeah, I uh... guess so... Kappi really hopes he can kill it or re-kill it. Or at least make it more deader.
Go help our comrades. And be careful of Vojtek, I think he is bewitched.
Kappi focuses on the fight at hand. He had already felled two foes this fight. He could take this pile of bones!

GM thunderspirit |

Kappi's tomahawk handle misses the skeleton by a wide margin.

Move to where I am, Ready action fire my sling bullet towards either the Cleric or Skelle if they aren't in Melee. Vojtek gets 5hp back, I loose 5

GM thunderspirit |

Before anyone does, well, anything, everyone (except Davosh, who's out of range) needs to make a DC 13 Will save to halve the 7 points of negative damage.
But y'all get to keep your rolls. Especially the ones that miss... >:-D

Vojtek Wartooth |

Will save (or won't save?)
1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8 <- uh oh... won't save I guess lol

Davosh the Wanderer |

Davosh, unsure of how to handle melee, brandishes his morningstar threateningly. He attacks defensively, hoping Ali can use the distraction he provides: 1d20 - 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 1 + 2 - 2 = 8

GM thunderspirit |

Kappi ends the skeleton with his tomahawk handle, but Ali does not quite finish the zombie with her elvish weapon. Davosh's swing catches only air.
Vojtek certainly gets the cleric's attention, but he hasn't managed to finish the job just yet.

GM thunderspirit |

Actually, with Edward's life link, Vojtek should still be at 1 since he'd gotten 5 back, then lost 5.
Of course, if the roller would've given me more than 5 pts on 2d6... ;-)

Vojtek Wartooth |

Vojtek waves off Angr-O and stands up again rather embarrassed for his error. "I'm not dead yet!"

Davosh the Wanderer |

"KAPPI!!!!" I'll delay until after Ali goes. Even if she doesn't drop the zombie, I'll draw the AoO (the zombie's last attack missed.) Then I'll cast CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

GM thunderspirit |

Cleric went down right after he channeled (was at 0 hp).

Vojtek Wartooth |

Vojtek attacks the skeleton over Kappi by swinging his Greatsword and biting the creature's exposed clavicle
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 1 = 20 for 2d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 + 2 = 19 damage.

Vojtek Wartooth |

Vojtek attacks the skeleton over Kappi by swinging his Greatsword and biting the creature's exposed clavicle
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20+5-1 for 2d6+6+2 damage.
Sorry - Phil set me straight it was a robot zombie, not a skeleton. And that means no biting of rancid clavicle. The movement also puts Vojtek in flanking position with Ali, meaning the to-hit was 22 and the damage stays 19.
Vojtek snaps at the creature, chomping his fearsome teeth in its unthinking dead face as though to scare it. The Greatsword follows soon after the loudly gnashing teeth and dead zombie chunks go all over the place.

GM thunderspirit |

The frost zombie falls!
Out of combat!

Vojtek Wartooth |

ACE reports, Go.
Potion of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
With a sudden jerk, the barbarian breaks cord that was hang in around his neck and pulls out something in his bloodstained hand.
Vojtek holds a small leather bag to his lips, peels the crusty thong securing it closed (hehehe crusty thong) away with his prominent eyetooth and throws his head back. A pale blue liquid dribbles out of the sweat-stained pouch and into his serrated maw.
Vojtek crumbles the decade-old gift from his grandfather without a thought and tosses it into the fire. A brief flare of cinnamon-scent wafts into the room before the choking stench of burned hide and years of Vojtek's skin oil and perspiration overpower it as the pouch burns to a shriveled cinder.

Con check to stabilize: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (6) - 3 = 3 <--FAIL
Ali's breath becomes shorter and more labored as she lays dying on the floor (SOrry, Vojtek--no flank for you! corpses don't threaten, unless they're animated)

Vojtek Wartooth |

Aw crap - dm can I retcon and feed my potion to one of these weak-kneed lily-livered lazy slackers just laying around bleeding to death while there's an adventure afoot?
Who's down? Ali and kappi? And what spells do we have ready to go? Lets get these HPs cross leveled people!

GM thunderspirit |

IIRC, Davosh has stabilize as one of his 0-level spells.
If he didn't, he does now...cos you guys just went up a level!
For the mathematically inclined, we'll be using the fast XP track, meaning you need 1300 to go from 1st to 2nd. After this fight, you guys are at 1617 each.

Davosh the Wanderer |

HUZZAH!!!!! That was awesome. Great nail-biting fight. Sure the dice rolls sucked harder than SMalory's mom...oh wait wrong game. Still, that was awesome. I have a VERY busy day at school, so the liklihood of a big post from me is small. After triage I'll divest the bodies of their valuables, kick the cleric, and then start to explore the house. I'll do it with more pizzazz and adjectives later today.

Davosh the Wanderer |

Before getting too far off track, "Kappi, how are you feeling? Vojtek, I know you're exhausted, but can you check the building for murderous saboteurs? Ali, help me take the belongings of these people. Kappi, can you and Edward look for the Lady?"
Spellcraft after a Detect Magic: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Davosh and Liska are going the PFS HD route.

Vojtek Wartooth |

Hmmm? Vojtek looks at Davosh quizzically, I'm not tired.
Vojtek takes out his Greatsword and starts kicking open doors and jumping inside with a shout.
Crash! HA!
Wham! HA!
Bam! HA!
Thank you ma'am! HA!
Each door splinters under his assault, and each room is… empty?

Kappi Matarito |

.
Kappi is lying on the floor at -4 hp. So Im pretty sure he is unconscious and unable to respond to Davosh's question.

Vojtek Wartooth |

Vojtek already looted Kappi's body.
no but seriously - I was waiting on a ruling from the DM to see if I could pour that CLW down your gullet. +9 HPs.

Davosh the Wanderer |

[ooc]It's a Full Round action to pour a potion down an unconscious person's throat. It's listed in the rules directly, no DM ruling needed unless he decides to house rule.[/dice]

GM thunderspirit |

Yep. We're out of initiative anyway, so pour away.
The only think Vojtek will find on this level is a desperately-attempting-to-climb-out-a-broken-window half orc. He should definitely NOT go to any of the other floors just yet. Especially not by himself.

Kappi Matarito |

Kappi sputters a little as he sits up moments after the potion was poured down his gullet. The lad looks to Vojtek as his saviour. The young rogue thought he was a gonner till the short wiry barabrian saved him.
Though he clearly recognizes some of the barbarian's faults he none the less sees Vojtek as amighty hero in the sense that only a teenage boy can.
And Kappi sees himself as the barbarian's sidekick.

Davosh the Wanderer |

...."eh? A half or survivor? Its THE stink Eye for that one."

Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |

Ali's eyes flutter and she inhales deeply and quickly a couple times. She's still in bad shape (0 hp) but is at least ambulatory. She gives Davosh a wan smile. See? Good thing I'm with you and I didn't let that b1tch getcha!
she slowly stands. I think I'm going to hang back for a while. That cleric gave me the worst hangover I've ever had.

Davosh the Wanderer |

"Sit down you silly elf. You're practically still dead, and if you so much as open a door, you'll bleed out again."

Vojtek Wartooth |

Don't worry… Vojtek gestures proudly, completely misunderstanding the conversation, no more doors! She's safe.
Vojtek kicks through the detritus of the western door and approaches the terrified half orc. He sheathes his weapon and stops well short of her. He smiles an un-reassuring looking smile and offers a piece of food from his belt pouch. He doesn't realize he is treating her exactly like one might treat a stray dog, but he doesn't have a lot of experience with reassuring half-orc women.
