Davosh the Wanderer
Kappi, take the doll and let us be quick with our egress. I don't like this place or this setting. In the void between now and the Ancestors the realities grow thin. Such a stretch on the mind and soul can break it. Ghosts and spirits are not our true forebearers, and we should heed them not. Let us be gone from this place."

dont worry about it DMTS I've had posts eaten by this site before
I will also ask again for a focused detect evil on the doll and then the hut
I will also attempt a knowledge check. I have local geo and religion at a +6, planes and survival at +5. So pick one or several and let me know
1d20 ⇒ 4 hahh prolly not
Davosh, Ali is anything in this hut magical?
GM thunderspirit
No luck on your Kn: arcana check, sorry! Your detect magic does not reveal the doll to be magical.
Your detect evil reveals a very dim lingering aura. While this doll may have been in the presence of evil at one time not terribly long ago, it itself does not detect as evil.
Your Appraise check recognizes the gem as a sapphire, but you're unnsure of the value. It could be more than a thousand gp!
There is nothing inside the hut besides the doll and the chair upon which it sat.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
Ali clearly has the heebie-jeebies as she's not fully recovered from the magically induced fright.
Yeah, I don't know what this is all about. I'm not sensing any magic...Pretty strange to have this haunted hut in the middle of nowhere. Are we done here? Can we, um, leave?
Davosh the Wanderer
Ali says this to everyone but Davosh and Liska, as they've already left.

Wait Ali hold on a minute. See how this doll sort of resembles the young girl that appeared around the hut? Good I'm glad you do. I also detect an evil presence that I guess hadeled the doll. Now I'm going to assume that that presence is the face of the old lady that makes the amalgamation of this dolls face. I am going to say that I should offer this doll a proper burial in the Ulfen fashion and that might let her soul rest and destroy the haunt.
Now I assume that Kappi will want the gemstone that makes the eye. If the objection is raised Edward will make a simple attempt at keeping it in tact, but will allow the valuable part to be cut out before the burial
Kappi Matarito
Though Kappi is pretty practical. He is still spooked enough to hand over the doll with the gemstone eye if Edward feels it will put the haunt to rest.
The young rogue doesnt want to feel that fear again.

I could use a little help here. We need to dig a shallow grave with a rock cairn. If we work quickly we can be further along the path by dusk.
After a bit while working on the grave...
So don't you all think it is odd that someone placed the door of the hut pointed right at the path we would come down so the doll could look at the haunt and the path?
After the hole and rocks are ready Edward lays the doll in it and covers it with dirt and rocks. Finishes by saying an appropriate Ulfen prayer.
GM thunderspirit
Edward diligently digs a shallow grave, and with Vojtek's help it only takes a handful of minutes.
As he reaches for the doll to place it inside, however, it suddenly rises into the air!
Initiative!
Ali: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Davosh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Edward: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Kappi: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Vojtek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
doll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Wow, there's those elusive 20s. LOL
The doll floats up another five feet, so it is now 10 feet in the air. It then moves one of its tiny arms and a translucent cloud of blue ice crystals descends over Edward and Vojtek! Each takes 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 cold damage and must make a DC 13 Fort save from Edward and Vojtek or be staggered for one round! evocation (cold) effect
Party up!
Davosh the Wanderer
Totally did not see this coming. ;-)
I want to make sure Ali hits, so I'll cast Guidance on her.
GM thunderspirit
[dice=Spellcraft]d20+8 SRSLY??
Missed it by that much. ;-)
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Round the First
wha? Bewildered Vojtek soon give way to furious Vojtek. HEY!!!
Since Vojtek was helping to loosen the dirt with the tip of his Greatsword, it is already out A good try, no? :-)
The wiry man slashes out with his blade with an indignant roar. He can't understand why this blasted thing would betray him like this, even as he was being kind enough to bury it in the cold cold ground.
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 1 = 26 for 2d6 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5, 1) + 9 + 2 = 17 damage.

Round 1
HP 10 AC 18
Since I was reaching for the doll to begin with can I sneak in a grapple attack as it moves through my area?
Grapple: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6<~~~I think that missed
Doll AoO: 1d20 ⇒ 11<~~ Might hit me
_________________________________________________
If not, then I will move while drawing my bow. And concentrate on Vojtek to life link.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16

HP 10 AC 18

[dice=Grapple]1d20+1<~~~I think that missed
[Dice=Doll AoO]1d20<~~ Might hit me

If not, then I will move while drawing my bow. And concentrate on Vojtek to life link.[Dice=Fort Save]1d20+4+1
I need to see how this resolves before acting
GM thunderspirit
Neither Edward or Vojtek are staggered by the spell, but both take the cold damage.
Both were flat-footed when the doll moved, though, so no AoO. (That grapple roll wouldn't have gotten it anyway, but you also wouldn't have faced an AoO since it's Tiny sized and wasn't in your square.)
Vojtek, the doll is 10' in the air when your action comes up; I did indicate that on the map via comment, but in case those aren't coming up for people, I added an arrow.
Seems a shame to waste the 20, LOL, so give me a DC 20 Acrobatics check to jump up high enough to hit (I'd impose a -4 penalty cos you're trying to time your swing, but hey, it's a nat 20, so...)
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
ROUND 1
The doll being up in the air is enough to allow me to act without threatening to skewer Ed, so here goes
Ali draws her bow and while nocking an arrow, brings forth her arcane powers to enhance its power. And, with a quick nod to Davosh, mutters "Ancestors guide my hand." She lets loose at the creepy fetish.
Guidance + magic enhancement
Arrow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Kappi Matarito
Round 1
Finally breaking free of his fear, Kappi raises his tomahawk and steps into a strong throw.
throwing attack 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8
tomahawk 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8
boo die roller
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
Wait, what do I need to do? Make an attack with you using the 20 as acrobatics or vice versa?
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 this is my guess… <-Looks like it matters not either way :(
GM thunderspirit
Votjek flails about below the doll, his legs unable to lift him high enough to attack the doll!
Kappi's tomahawk spins off on the foe's side!
Davosh gives Ali some guidance, who then taps into her arcane pool and uses both to good effect as her arrow finds is mark!
The doll's face twists in anger, and it points to send out a blue ray at Ali!
ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
cold dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 2
9
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
Ali when did you loose HP, I could have sworn everyone was up to max except myself after we left the skellies. Yes I will heal ya when my turn comes.
Heh, that surprised me too! I saw my hp total as I was updating the last damage and thought I'd not kept proper track, but I read back to the fight with the tree thingies, and I'd gotten hurt then and didn't say anything--mah bad
Side note: I *always* strive to keep my hp total in my title updated
GM thunderspirit
Yep, the frost fir got her pretty good. I thought the same thing, Edward, and looked back to make sure she hadn't incorrectly taken dmg from the doll's spell.
BTW, forgot to say it, but: Party up!
Davosh the Wanderer
The warlock gives a rather serious look at Ali, when he touched her for the Guidance spell, he pulled back a hand covered in blood. The magus hadn't complained of injury. "Lo do I ask my fathers, let us continue our tale..

Round 2
At end of my Turn, HP 11 AC 18
Edward watches Ali pull her bow and wince from the pain of some nasty scrapes.
Lass I sure do wish ya would have told me ya were hurting from playing in the limbs. Little busy here with Vojtek limited. Now ya all spread out it's got area spells
Longbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Free action drop life link with Vojtek, Move action Link with Ali, Stanadard action, Attack
Ali heal 5hp
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
Round the Second
Blinded by rage, Vojtek throws caution to the wind and starts scrambling up the hillock in order to get at the hated doll. He swings the mighty Greatsword at the doll with a barbaric yawp.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 to avoid AoO
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 1 = 12 for 2d6 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 9 + 2 = 18 damage.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein

What, are you BOTH trying out for the part of "My Mother?!?!" Sheesh!! Already said "forgot to tell you, my bad." Gooness, stop reprimanding me already!! :-)
ROUND 2
With the healing energies of both of her new friends surging trough her, Ali loosens her now-relieved shoulders for another shot on that freaky doll.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 <-blarg
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
GM thunderspirit
You can even show him on the doll! :-D
Kappi!
Kappi Matarito
Round 2
Annoyed at missing on his first try, the lad hefts one of his javelins. Half a moment to gauge his aim and then he throws...
1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 20
javelin 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
GM thunderspirit
Davosh cures the elf, while Edward moves his life link and fires his bow, but he does not hit. Nor does Ali's shot, or Vojtek's angry swing as he leaps from atop the hillock; he lands on the edge of the grave he helped dig, but manages to maintain his balance.
Kappi has better fortune; his javelin hits the doll, but seems to just barely stick in before it falls out — it does considerably less damage than the rogue thinks it should.
The doll points at Vojtek this time, and another blue ray shoots out!
ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Duly noted. ;-)
Ali and Edward both shoot arrows at the doll, to no avail!
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
Round the Third
Vojtek stays atop his hillock and swings mightily with his greatsword.
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 1 = 8 for 2d6 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 9 + 2 = 16 damage.
Kappi Matarito
Round 3
Seeing that his javelin didnt have the effect he wanted. Kappi hefts a tomahawk to throw at the strange little doll creature.
Throwing attack 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
tomahawk 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
GM thunderspirit
Vojtek's second flailing swing is no more successful than his first!
Kappi's tomahawk strikes the floating doll squarely, but it appears to bounce off with no effect!
Davosh!
Davosh the Wanderer
Not sure this will work, but... The warlock's ire and disdain overcomes fear and revulsion. His eye flashes, the doll's reflection shining brightly against it's light. "No more.".
Evil Eye: Drop AC by 2. Will DC 16 to reduce duration from 8 rounds to 1.
