Life is too short to play a game you don't enjoy. Seriously.

If it's your PC choice, we can switch something up.
If it's deeper than that, well, see the sentence at the top.

We can talk about changes you might like to see, and maybe it'll work better for you.

I'd be bored too if I made a REMF like Edward lol. Murder Hobos FTW!

I will try to see what happens coming up, and I really want to see what it would be like to have S, M, P, and S in a party together. But if I keep disliking this campaign this much, I will have to move along.

What is that? Sorcerer, Mage, Priest, Sorcerer?

Help me out.

I think it means, Adam, Mike, Phil, and Chris

I second S's interpretation.

On your character: I'm not sure I like the oracle for a PC, but it makes a kickass cohort (ask the Serpent's Skull group!! Oracle cohort to a barbarian is great). I think you need to resolve yourself to knowing it's more of a support character. I feel your pain to a certain extent; I'm finding the magus very challenging at low levels (and p1ss poor die rolls aren't helping that), but I'm holding out for great things later.

You'd be missed--but no hard feelings either way. Do what you will, man. And if any of us can help, I'm confident in speaking for everyone in saying "we'll help." :-)

Thanks, I'm sticking around for now, will see how everything goes. Like I said in the other game it has been long hours the past few days with very little sleep. I started to read through the posts, and do the math, but I started nodding off trying to figure it out. I will try to get back up to speed tomorrow after 1900 hrs.

My weekend has the potential for being very busy, not sure how much posting I will be able to do.

Before you get super busy - Vojtek has 3/16 HPs. If you can't heal him don't worry I am just outside the Lodge, watching the battle through the window.

Well he is getting constant healing from me 5/hp a round.

Can you all do me a huge favor and post your current HP here so I can catch up. It looks like I only cast 1 CLW spell, and would now be low on HP myself. I hope none of the rest of you are low on HP Vojtek is gettin hammered.

That leaves me with 3 1st level spells left.

Ali's roll reminds me: each level, you can either take (1/2 your HD +1), or you can roll; but if you roll and roll poorly, them's the breaks.

Also, if anyone's multi-classing, please let me know.

Also also, this is your last chance to rebuild using one of the Advanced Class Guide playtest classes.

Lastly:
I prepared explosive runes today.

If you had done a better job killing us last encounter you could have had a war priest guy. I mean if he could defeat Angr-O in single combat.

GMT, you gave us XP and a "you leveled," but should we actually level NOW? Makes a big difference for spellcasters in particular...

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Yeah, go ahead. You won't restore spells (or access your new ones) until you rest - which I fully expect, having found a convenient and warm place to do so - but the extra BAB, feats/skills, and class abilities will only help.

Nope, nothing special, just doing my best to keep tabs on things so I have an idea what the PCs can do. Playing this in campaign mode affords me an opportunity to tweak an encounter here and there, tuning up or down as needed. Oh, wait, Vojtek said to turn it up, right? Cos I'm not trying hard enough to kill you. Perhaps the next encounter will go to...ELEVEN. ;-)

Stuck on my phone tonight; I will post what your searching finds sometime tomorrow morning.

Congrats on the new job, BTW!

this matters (a lot): do we add new HP to our max AND our current total, or just to max?? (right now, Ali can only move wihtout furhter injuring herself, being at 0 hp)

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Palacle can be very spiffy.

I wouldn't multiclass Davosh or Ali, but JMSO there's nothing wrong with multiclassing as a rule. I know Paizo's worked to discourage it, but I like the customization it can offer.

  • Single Classed from Here to Eternity.

I have a few multiclass combinations that I enjoy. They're mostly from older editions and whatnot. I'm extremely excited for the ACG for that reason. I'd so much rather be a magus than a fighter/magic-user. That being said, I'm staying single classed. In a game where there is potential for levels in the high teens it's worth it.

    Davosh:

    Hex: Cackle
    Everything else is standard.

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Oh, I hear ya about multiclass combos; Rgr/Rog is one of my all-time favorite blends, along with Ftr/Clc.

I was rather bummed at the initial ACG playtest doc, cos what I was hoping for was a collection of Inquisitor/Magus classes (hybrids I think they did very well) and I thought they'd missed the target on a lot of them. The revision was a pleasant surprise; nearly all of them were at least interesting, if not something I wanted to play right away.

Have a Swashbuckler I'm playing now and an Arcanist I've got in a session of PFS. Tried a Warpriest 1.0 and hated it, so I'm interested to see what 2.0 plays like.

I also have a Monk in a game and have been toying with a switch to Brawler.

  • ACG in a nutshell:

Multiclassing is a pain in the butt, and doesn't work out exactly like people picture it. There are some multiclass combinations that are just classic, such as the fighter/magic-user. Thus entered Paizo's class the "magus." Now it's one class without the headache. It's not just half and half, it's some unique stuff so you know it's a magus. fighter/wizard is still allowed, it's just that now there's a straight forward single class for the niche. They looked at 10 other classic combinations:

    Wizard-Sorcerer: Arcanist
    Barbarian-Sorcerer: Bloodrage
    Fighter-Monk: Brawler
    Ranger-Druid: Hunter
    Alchemist-Rogue: Investigator
    Oracle-Witch: Shaman
    Bard-Barbarian: Skald
    Ranger-Rogue: Slayer
Gunslinger-Fighter: Swashbuckler (not with guns, but with mechanics)
    Fighter-Cleric: Warpriest

I thought Adam's bard Fel was a pretty useful character. Though I will admit not a character Id want to play. Its hard to feel heroic when your main attack does 1d4-2 damage.
