Han Van Thao |
Bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Han walks through the foyer again acting like he belongs there to hand the fan off to Amara.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
"The Aspis agent may be out there as well", Hrolf says with a nod towards the elf.
GM Tektite |
Han strolls into the Grand Foyer, acting like he belongs there. Based in the looks he gets from a few of the servants and attendees, he is not so successful. He manages to spot Amara Li chatting with the ambassador and he also notices a man sporting Garundi cornrows and a bright red cloak with the triple-asp on the back. That man is standing just inside the ballroom door.
Han needs to make a Sleight of Hand to pass the fan or a Bluff to get her attention. Also need to make a Sleight of Hand to drop the tracking bead in Muno Dans pocket.
Xathalial |
Xathalial will try to use the Bard as a distraction while moving between tapestries or something in the room.
Stealth!: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
As he gets closer to the Garundi man, he will try to slip the thing in his pocket!
Sleight of Hand...: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
Hrolf keeps a lookout for any overly curious watchers.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
GM Tektite |
Han successfully motions to Amara Li. She excuses herself and paces over to accept the fan. Thank you, I was getting worried. Now hurry, I won't be able to distract him much longer. She nods and returns to the ambassador.
Xathalial is also successful. He sneaks into the foyer and adroitly drops the tracking bead into Muno's pocket.
Hrolf keeps a wary out, but sees nothing but the success of his companions.
OK, Han and Xathalial are now in the grand foyer. Using the same roll, they can either return back to the group or continue on to the waiting room, the ultimate destination.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
Hrolf will motion for the away team to return to the waiting room before doing so himself.
Good job guys!
Han Van Thao |
I'll move on to the waiting room.
Han just reluctantly nods while keeping his annoyance to himself as he continues to the waiting room.
Xathalial |
I want to confirm that got my list from Zarta's room, yes?
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
It looks like I can't delete them but I've moved them off of the visible map.
Xathalial |
Oh, yeah. The author/Mike Brock never did explain why you can't just take the list to Torch, read it to him, then destroy it in his bathtub or feed it to one of his half-orcs, did they?
Zantir Mendoza |
Let's go the long way, my friend.
Stelth to get past the Ballroom: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Bluff to get past the servants: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
I don't think I need this, but if I do,
Perception to get through the hall outside Zarta's office: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Upon returning to the waiting room, Zantir changes his clothes back to the less extravagant outfit he came in.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
What were the checks/options for going back the way we came?
GM Tektite |
Zantir half strolls, half sneaks across the foyer. He notices quite a few stares and sidelong glances, but no one stops him as he makes his way to the waiting room.
Hrolf, going back the way you came would require a Stealth or Bluff/Disguise through the Garden and Perception check in the north Gallery to time the gaps or another Bluff/Disguise.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
Hrolf resumes his performance as definitely-not-a-hulking-ulfen and then looks for a gap in the waitstaff patrols.
Tap Inner Beauty
Disguise: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 2 = 17
Guidance
Perception: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15
GM Tektite |
Hrolf makes a solo dash back through the embassy. He travels along the servants hall and ducks through the staging area to the garden. The big Ulfen manages to blend in with the crowd in the garden and makes it across easily. Hrolf then enters the north gallery. Timing the lulls in activity, he darts across the corridor, but only makes it to the kitchen doorway before servants stream down the gallery again. Ducking into the kitchen, Hrolf see the cook staff, who begin yelling at him to get out of the kitchen.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Hrolf does a 180 at of the kitchen and is able to time another gap in activity to make it back to waiting area where his other companions are waiting.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
Hrolf snags a tiny meat pie as he's banished from the kitchen and joins the others in the waiting room.
"That went well", the big ulfen comments as he licks his fingers clean.
GM Tektite |
Within moments of Hrolf returning to the waiting room, Amara Li's voice issues.from.nowhere to let you know the ambassador is coming. A few heartbeats after, the door open and the ambassador enters, an annoyed look on his face. What is it? Where is this important information that couldn't wait. he says with one hand held out and the other tapping on the doorway.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
Hrolf wipes his greasy fingers on his furs and offers up the sealed envelope.
"This will be of interest to you."
Zantir Mendoza |
Time jump.
After he leaves the embassy, Zantir finds a discrete place to burn the heretical painting of Serenrae. The painting of Zarta, however, he keeps for possible future uses.
GM, Please oh please write on my Chronicle sheet that I have this. :)
Later...
Day Job: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Xathalial |
For Efficiency Purposes: Here's my Djob, for once we actually finish.
Craft(Bows): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Having not spent many arrows while in the Embassy, Xathalial does not focus on making more to add to the next acolyte's 100.
GM Tektite |
The ambassador accepts the packet of papers and thumbs through them quickly, his eyebrows rising slightly as he scans the contents. He tucks the packet in his robes and looks up. Tell Valsin, that these are very much appreciated and Cheliax will keep these in mind in the future. He glances back over his shoulder before continuing. Now if you have nothing more, I have more pressing matters to attend to. With that he bids you good evening and leaves. The party leaves the embassy and heads back to the Grand Lodge to report to Ambrus Valsin.
Valsin is pleased with your success, but his face does not show it as he reads over the evidence you provide him. This is most disturbing, most disturbing indeed. Good job. Now if you'll excuse me I have a rescue party to put together, unless you have any questions?
Sorry for the delay this weekend. Any other Day Job Rolls? I think I have everyone's PFS nnumber. I just need to know what dash number Xathalial is and I'll get this reported and Chronicles out to you.
Hrolf 'Beastheart' Hakonson |
No day job. Hrolf is a full time Pathfinder.
