True, but I have a feeling that performing in front of one of the City Bosses, one who specifically has it in for my own employer, might not qualify for 'calm, controlled' circumstances...
edit: This is why it is a bad idea to check the lists before I head to class. I get distracted & then realize I gotta leave...
Will make a gameplay post when i get back from class.

I can see how it might apply. That is why professional theatre performers rehearse continually after all. However, this isn't really one of those situations. Particularly as I haven't posted anything about Blossom regularly rehearsing her performances after all. Something to consider for the future...

Bú nìng yīng huā jié |

Wow, this is kind of weird. Having a copy of both Burnt Offerings (The first Pathfinder AP Adventure) & the Second Darkness Player's Guide. I have read both Orik & Lil's side of the events.
Which makes things particularly odd because I am beginning to feel like Blossom may be about to inadvertently parallel that triangle if she goes any farther with Clegg Zincher.
Now a part of me/Blossom really wants to revive Clegg's brother to get his side of what actually went down...
I should have a gameplay post later today. Getting ready for work now.

Ok guys, Real Life (TM) just hit me hard. I have a family emergency which I seem to be the only effective adult for, so I suspect it is going to be several days to a week before I am in a position to post again. Doctor Evil, please 'bot' me as needed until I post I'm back.

Sucking snake venom out by mouth is actually safe, as long as you don't have cuts in your mouth, because it does damage in the bloodstream, but not via contact or ingestion. In real life, it's also not very effective in preventing venom damage. However, it's got a long history in adventure narratives, in which one hero gets bit and another hero sucks out the venom, so when I hit preview and saw an effective Heal check, I figured it would be an appropriately cinematic way of having Trig save Bu.

Trig Glittergold |

You each earn 70xp for killing the snake. This gives you 1037 xp or about 35% of the way to Level 2.
Is this AP on the slow advancement track?

Saphren |

I am camping this weekend, leaving early this afternoon, and will be away from all computers and internet. I'll be back and able to post Sunday evening.

Twigs |

I tend to make a point of ACTING rather than discussing every move over PbP. Doesn't help that Magnus isnt much the type for talking things out in character. If the party wants to go the diplomacy route then someone just has to grab him by the cloak and say "slow down, Bucko."
I'm a little less cautious by PbP because of its slow-moving nature. I'm eager to find my way into trouble and fight my way out if I think it'll move us along through the plot quicker. So this is more an expression of my own playstyle than blatant subordination.

Kicking ass first and asking questions later has served us pretty well so far.

Yay level 2! We level up immediately? How do we do HP, rolling or average?

A Note on Leveling
Go ahead and discuss your changes here. Use any Paizo hard-back reference book you like for your additional feats etc. if any.
You can choose to take mid-point HP (rounded down, ie 1d6 =3)or roll new HP, but re-roll any 1's, subtracting 1 from the new result, but you must choose in advance of rolling...make sense?
Once you think you've got your build, prompt me and I'll review and update my file on you.
Congrats again!

Sorry you ninja'ed my level up post.
I always level up immediately, especially if I have big fights planned for you. you can choose average or luck of the dice, but i want you to choose before you roll...You can re-roll a 1, but must subtract 1 from the second roll...hope that's not too confusing.

Trig Glittergold |

I'll try rolling and see what I get.
1d6 ⇒ 1 Ouch, thanks for the reroll option.
1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Hey, not bad.

Saphren |

Saphren takes another level of rogue, though I considered fighter based on his role and behavior.
Hit Points: 1d8 ⇒ 5 hmm. That is not going to make him too tough. Better take the faired class bonus to hit points.
4 Skill points go into new skills:
Appraise, Bluff, Diplomacy, Escape Artist
And 4 go into improving existing skills:
Acrobatics, Disable Device, Perception, Stealth
And then there is the matter of the Rogue Talent:
Saphren chooses: Weapon Training, gaining Weapon Focus Falchion

Reva Meirani |

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Could be worse!
HP gain: 4
Favored class: 1 skill
Skill ranks: 9
1 skill rank to survival (new skill)
1 skill rank to knowledge: nature (new skill)
1 each to intimidate, sense motive, stealth, perception, heal, knowledge religion, spellcraft
Base attack gain: +1
Save increase: +1, 0, +1
Spells:
Added: 1/1 (read magic, protection from evil)
Cast: +1 at level 1
Special: Cunning initiative (add wisdom to init), detect alignment (at will use detect evil/chaos/law/good), track (add 1/2 level to find tracks).

Saphren |

Saphren, I have all those changes made to my profile. You are good to go. You have (had?) greataxe in your original build, did you chuck that in favor of a falchion when you got the Arabic guards costume?
No, Saphren is a man of many blades. :) The falchion seems to be working out for him so he is going with it. I'll update the alias.

Trig Glittergold |

6 new HP.
New 0-level spell Daze.
1 additional spell per day.
Skill points in Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Perception.
That's about it.

Sorry all, yesterday was busier than normal for me. Good busy, but still busy. Before I update, I've got five skill points currently 'soft', any recommendations/'wish lists'? I haven't checked to be certain, but we seem a bit lacking in some Knowledge skills like Arcana. Would it be helpful if I put ranks into some of those?

Reva Meirani |

Knowledge arcana is a good choice. Reva hasn't taken it because I assumed someone else in the party had it covered. She'll grab it eventually, but it won't be super high - just use the inquisitor bonus for IDing monsters. Use magic device is also always useful.

Magnus Ironfoot |

Health: (average for 9, total 26/26hp)
Bonus Feat: Cleave
Fighter/2 for: Bravery+1
one skill rank to: Appraise +3 (+1 when bargaining)
and my favored class skill rank for: Profession Cook +5
I'm still up in the air about Magnus' feat progression. I know I want a smattering of defensive feats, but from there I'm not so sure. I'll probably forgo weapon specialization for more versatility, like the shatterspell and cleave through lines from the Advanced Race Guide. His archetype gives him a little boost to his manuevers, further expanding his options.

How does magnus have such high HP?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Edit: nevermind, just noticed 19 Con. That's some impressive stamina -- obviously why Trig likes him. ;)

Bú nìng yīng huā jié |

Level 2 Witch (Favored Class)
HP: 1d6 ⇒ 5... Yeah, I'll take it.
New Spells:
Dancing Lantern
Ill Omen
BAB: + 1 (+ 1 to CMB & CMD)
Saves: + 1 Will
Skills: (2 + Int {4} + Favored Class) [7]
+ 2 Diplomacy
+ 2 Knowledge (Arcana)
+ 1 Knowledge (Nature)
+ 1 Knowledge (Planes)
+ 1 Spellcraft
Class Abilities: White Hair now has the Constrict ability & can do damage to grappled foe while still grappling.
Constrict (Ex): At 2nd level, when the white-haired witch's hair successfully grapples an opponent, it can begin constricting her victim as a free action, dealing damage equal to that of its attack.
Sorry this took me so long, had finals & many other events kind of jump down on me. Every time I got home I discovered I had zero energy left for anything that wasn't vital household stuff. Things are better now.

Trig Glittergold |

We're up to date now, Bú, go ahead and assume you have any abilities, HP or stats related to 2nd level.

Wow, what a weekend. Spouse and I got paid friday, we go shopping, take kids out for a nice dinner, buy a tree, bring it home atop the car, come in the house, and find out we've been robbed! Someone smashed in the back sliding glass door, grabbed the family computer (an old laptop), the Wii, and the oldest's personal laptop. Kids are very upset and there's glass all over the kitchen floor. Took some serious effort to get things back to normal.
Saturday night we had set up and decorated the tree, and then we were sitting there watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and suddenly the tree starts toppling over! I make a dive for it and catch it before it hits the floor, saving many ornaments.
Then on Sunday we saw Hobbit, which was excellent. So, crazy weekend.
