Please make sure to have your character uploaded and your tagline detailed as per my profile prior to the game starting this weekend.
Also, even though August 27th is the official start date, I will be busy with Lion Con, and will be unable to post a start at that time (unless by chance I get one up in the wee hours).
Just letting you know.

![]() |

Everyone, please make sure you have you full builds posted in your profile ASAP..
Failure to do that will mean I will be asking you to step away from the game.
Thank you for understanding.

What teamwork feats does the big cahuna, I mean Slammu have running with his pet? I could martial flex some of them I believe.

![]() |

All,
I have updated the campaign information with information on how I run PbP.
In there are the recommended tag line templates, as well as an example of a character that has the character sheet on his profile.
Thanks.

Duskwalker, you should also include your rolls. So that I don't have to make all the rolls for you... you can see i am doing quite a lot of that already.
Example:
If moving:
trip attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25
If standing up
Fauchard: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 14 + 4 = 33 slashing: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Fauchard confirm: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 4 = 23 slashing: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
If moving:
trip attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36
If standing up
Fauchard: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 14 + 4 = 30 slashing: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
If moving:
trip attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (8) + 23 = 31
If standing up
Fauchard: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 4 = 25
This way you've done all the work, and the GM can focus on GMing.
Use preview to check for crit chances, and all that.
Does that make sense?

Missed the question here Dusk.
Current feats:
Outflank
Trade Initiative
Tandem Trip
Flex feat:
Paired Opportunists

I'm working on it, the last game the attack rolls were run by the gm, primarily. i'm updating my last post with revised aoo info. Would you like me to add the +4 prone to my rolls then?

![]() |

If your choice of AoO is whether the target is standing up or not, that would make sense to me.
If, for some reason, it is not pertinent, I will factor it back out.
Thank you.

I know his build is...creative. By no means would I call him a powerhouse. But flexible/adaptable (using the knowledge skills) to assist/adjust to the situation. Even though it's round time consuming to bring everything online, it seems to work out well enough.

![]() |

I'll manage... just don't be surprised when I ask a lot of questions. This isn't the sort of build I have ever done. You also added 2 feats with martial flexibility, right? So that should have taken 2 uses? (was just reading that yesterday when playing with a brawler build).
BTW - isn't your AC 21 (Mage Armor adds +4, but you already had a +1 Armor Bonus)?

![]() |

Only one use for phalanx. Umm, yeah, looking at my hero lab now says 21... Must have been a typo. Long arm is one of my investigator spells, not lunge, the feat(though similar in effect).

Gotcha, cool. Thanks for checking.

Heading back home tomorrow, spent the day today at the MN State Fair, and yesterday at the Renaissance Festival. A good time had by the whole family!

![]() |

FYI - I will be very busy FRI-SUN (as will most of us here), with SkålCon, so posting will probably not happen until Monday after tomorrow. And likely only one post tomorrow afternoon.

![]() |

I will be driving a lot of today, I may not be able to post again until later this evening, but I will try if need be.

On falling and Acrobatics.
When you deliberately fall any distance, even as a result of a missed jump, a DC 15 Acrobatics skill check allows you to ignore the first 10 feet fallen, although you still end up prone if you take damage from a fall. See the falling rules for further details.
If a character deliberately jumps instead of merely slipping or falling, the damage is the same but the first 1d6 is nonlethal damage. A DC 15 Acrobatics check allows the character to avoid any damage from the first 10 feet fallen and converts any damage from the second 10 feet to nonlethal damage.
If you take damage (of which I cannot see where non-lethal is excluded), you fall.
Am I missing something here?

![]() |

The first paragraph of the falling section says prone upon lethal damage(right after it describes the maximum amount of falling damage one can sustain)

![]() |

Creatures that fall take 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 20d6. Creatures that take lethal damage from a fall land in a prone position.
Yup, missed that.
Why can't Paizo use the same language in all references. These two could be considered contradictory.
SIGH.

unloaded in my new rental, for my new job to start in a week and a half...still to unpack :(

![]() |

I was guessing at how much I beat the elf's CMD by. If I had stated 5' away from slammu, and then another 5' back, hit quality depending, would that have been preferable to "back and forth"? That is what I was intending, but was trying to be shorter with text.

![]() |

The way I read reposition... you are moving your target to a square. The way I read it is if you succeed by more that 5, you can move them more, but you are always move to a square, directly.
If you are asking someone to move a token, please be as specific as possible. It also helps to put an arrow on the map showing movement if it can be confused.
Thank you.

![]() |

I don't believe it precludes the ability to return the target to the space it originated in, as long as it was moved around the board, including the last(or possibly only) 5' being moved outside of the threatened area.

![]() |

You can attempt to reposition a foe to a different location as a standard action. You can only reposition an opponent that is no more than one size category larger than you. A reposition attempts to force a foe to move to a different position in relation to your location without doing any harm. If you do not have the Improved Reposition feat or a similar ability, attempting to reposition a foe provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of your maneuver. You cannot use this maneuver to move a foe into a space that is intrinsically dangerous, such as a pit or wall of fire.
If your attack is successful, you may move your target 5 feet to a new location. For every 5 by which your attack exceeds your opponent's CMD, you can move the target an additional 5 feet. The target must remain within your reach at all times during this movement, except for the final 5 feet of movement, which can be to a space adjacent to your reach.
An enemy being moved by a reposition does not provoke an attack of opportunity because of the movement unless you possess the Greater Reposition feat. You cannot move a creature into a square that is occupied by a solid object or obstacle.
Bolding mine
To me, the bolded words are very clear, and I will stand by my ruling.

Thanks for the no-boons Silbeg! I want a reroll!
Edit: I replace my expended item with a craft check. I take 1 (1 + 29 = 30). I make the item.
I don't like that roll, so I take my reroll and again take 1 (1 + 29 + 5 = 35). I still make the item.
