Lukaas leads his fellows Pathfinder towards the garden, on the east side of the embassy, planning to follow the same road they used when they first came.

If we manage to get back in time, Cayden, I promise I'll buy a few rounds at the best tavern and give a toast to your name!

White Eagle follows along, having been nearly killed by furniture, he now understands the importance of sticking with nature.

Using their new disguises and quickly pushing through, the party retraces their route, and makes it back to the waiting room without too much trouble (though Pollet almost spoiled it when she bumps into a waiter carrying a tray of food causing it to fall to the floor). They quickly shed their cloaks to return to their normal look, lock the door behind them and try to take on as casual and bored an air as possible. No sooner than the door to the east is locked than the the main door to the room opens, and a tall Chelaxian nobleman steps in. He looks around the room at you all and in an irritated voice he booms, "Ah, yes. The Pathfinders. I do hope you have a good reason for this interruption!"

He looks at you, expectantly.

We wouldn't dare to disturb you in the middle of such a prestigious event if that wasn't the case, Lord Ambassador.

Even if the tone is pleasant, Lukaas keeps a solemn face, and produces the bundle of papers that Venture Captain Valsin gave them earlier

We have been asked to give you, in person, some information concerning Chellish interests in Sargava. We have no knowledge of the contents of these information, only that we must deliver them to the Chellish Ambassador privately.

He gives the bundle of papers ceremonously, and bows slightly
Now that our duty is done, we will not abuse your hospitality.

If the ambassador has no further question, Lukaas is ready to go and report to his superior

TG1 | GW | FF | RH

The ambassador takes the papers and looks at them for a second before nodding and folding them under his arm. His expression of thanks is a brief nod of his head and says, "Received."

His facial expression still exihibits signs of annoyance, frustrated to have to be taken away from the festivities for whatever this is. With the papers in hand he turns on his heels and departs the room with no further words. A moment after his exit Anstrella Trelax, the Embassy Duty Officer, steps into the doorway and says. "Alright folks, time for you to leave now. Thank you for your patience."

She escorts you to the door and back into the street, shutting the door behind you. The lot of you make your way back to your Venture Captain to report on your duties. VC Valsin is sitting at his desk and looks up when you arrive, putting down the book he was reading.

A look of concern is evident in his face as he hesitantly asks, "Well? What did you find out? Where is Zarta? Who took here? Why was she taken?"

Quickly, Lukaas sits down at the table, getting the Prisoner's receiptout of his pocket, and start deciphering it

Fawihoc Kxiah= CITA..D.EL of course VRAID does that place's name ring a bell for you, Captain?

Ashobasawo-xogaw es xojyodw: INDE-finite-REMIT ON REqUEST I suppose. So quite a long time to be in cell

Wxiawex okahosfo bacoh-too bad, we nearly had "bacon" on that one.-cefrox= meaning "TRAItor EVIdence *I*ED *OC*ER"- well, I should work on the end of that sentence. Give me a few minutes...

Lukaas sighs and rubs his eyes
For what I understand, Lady Zarta was send to a place named Citadel Vraid for treason, and should stay there indefinitely. She had an escape route planned, and both magical and mundane means to ensure she wouldn't be recognised easily, money and valuable to buy and bribe her way. She had unfortunatly no time to use them. I'm afraid we lost precious time fighting guardian devils in Lady Zarta's room, and so our information is maybe quite sparce. If only we had more time to check on these shelves....I hope this will be helpful, Venture Captain.

Valsin listens to Lukaas's report and breakdown. When he mentions Citadel Vraid he puts his head hand and sighs heavily.

"Citadel Vraid is the fortress-headquarters of the Hellknight Order of the Nail. It's located south of Korvosa and is heavily protected."

He waves his hand dismissively and smiles, "Well done Pathfinders! Yes, this information is extremely important and I'm sure that your efforts today are going to go a long way to correcthing this ... misunderstanding."

He pauses and asks curiously, "And the embassy? I haven't received any notifications, so I assume everything went quietly? They are none the wiser your actions this night?"

Lukaas, who was so far balancing himself on his chair, thinking, suddenly lose his balance and crashes on the ground suddenly

Rubbing his back, he says, excited

Wait, there's more! Remember, Zhoron, you found some letters in the embassy archives! The letters were forged, and used to give a reason to imprison Lady Zarta!

Quote:
The receipt in hand the party has half of what they need but are still missing the actual evidence. About three minutes later Zhoron finds what you need while digging through the evidence locker. Quickly skimming the evidence he sees that Tancred used this to indict Zarta. It consists of a series of letters written in a halting hand that resembles the paracountess’s. Upon closer examination, however, the letters’ writing differs significantly from the note found in Zarta’s study. The forged letters are addressed to a prominent House Thrune enemy, and in them “Zarta” discusses selling privileged Chelish information supposedly meant to foment political insurrection. Zarta’s personal travel logs, written in her natural hand, are also included. While the first entry—a trip to Absalom’s Ivy District—does indeed match with the letters’ indication of Zarta’s supposed treasonous activities, the second entry proves the paracountess was away from Absalom during a time the letters claim she met with her conspirators in the Petal District.

OUch... we have no luck with chairs tonight. That mission, Venture Captain was nearly IMPossible..

The young bard winks to his comrades, more for the mention of their small infernal foes who nearly defeated them than for the joke itself

But we've done it, as quietly as possible. I offered the shiver dose you gave me to the embassy secretary, we went throught the embassy's corridors and rooms as quickly and discreetly as possible, I'm afraid there was a bit of commotion in Lady Zarta's room when we fought two imps who poisoned Eldak and some of us, we had to dislodge some vents to access the embassy's archives room and smash an animated chair that nearly killed White Eagle...before coming back in the nick of time in the room we were supposed to wait for the Ambassador.
