Ugh did it again, just realized I forgot the bonuses from Lukaas' song. If you don't mind GM add +1/+1 to my totals.

![]() |

Oopps, sorry. Didn't think you were waiting for me.
Lukaas continues to sing, and readies a flask of Alchemical fire if needed
this chair should burn...
Then he sees White eagle still down, and frowns. Quickly, he takes another vial in his backpack and pops it open in the man's mouth
CLW potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Did my attack not do anything, or get lost in the shuffle?

Lukaas stops singing, knowing the effect of his song will carry on a few moments
Lingering Performance, 2 more rounds
get away from the chair, all!
After a few seconds foraging in his backpack, he prepares a flask of alchemic fire, and as soon as his comrades have get out of harm way Delay until I can get a clear shot without harming anyone, he throws it towards the chair
throw, inspire: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 = 19
fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Yes! Let's see how you burn...

Eldak takes another whack at the chair with his staff.

Eldak's attack misses and Lukaas waits for his party members to move out of the splash zone of the fire before tossing it. The chair lunches out at Zhoron with a quick snapping motion but comes up just short of hitting him.
Lukaas is delaying until the party backs away or he decides to throw it anyway. Party is up!
Attack Zhoron!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Gaeldrung takes another chunk of wood out of the chair and steps back just as Lukaas's bomb explodes on the chair. It begins to burn and pop as blackened smoke rolls off of it. Some of the sparks and brief flame catch Zhoron and Eldak, but the result seems worth it. 1 Damage to each of you.
After a few seconds the fire seems to sap whatever remaining life force was left in the animated object and it falls over on it's side, legs cracking as it hits the ground. Out of combat. Tick Tock.

I've got a wand of CLW. We can use it for anyone who needs healing, just need to know how many charges to knock off. It will need to be used by someone other than me, Lukaas perhaps.

While some of the others take the time to tend to White Eagle, Eldak focuses on the bookshelves they were looking at prior to the chair's attack.
"Lukaas my friend, apparently you upset that chair by looking at the Internal Security shelf. Shall we have a look again, once we get White Eagle standing under his own willpower again?"

smiles
That was an useful vial. I don't regret my money on that one. That gives quite a new meaning to the words "hot seat".Sorry for the small burns, folks.
Lukaas smile widens
That is a precious item, Zhoron, thank you for letting me using it for the group's benefit. Who knows, maybe White Eagle will buy you a few bears later.
chuckles at his little joke and use the curing wand on the shaman
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
How much charges left, Zhoron, and what is the Caster level of the wand's spell? Put it at level 1 by default.
I honestly don't know if the chair was designed to defend this particular shelf, Eldak. Peruse in theses shelves quickly,we need the informations and we lost time enough with our opponents. Please let someone contact our beautiful captain to ask how long she think she might keep the ambassador occupied with her grace and wits..

Lukaas will use the wand on White eagle again, then on Zhoron, and finally on himself
CLW Wand, White Eagle: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW Wand, Zhoron: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW Wand, Lucaas: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
That's 5 charges spend so far: 2 on WE, 1 on Gaeldrung, 1 on Zhoron, 1 on me. 45/50 left
As soon as White Eagle is back on feet, Lukaas will send him to the shelves

The party finds an equisitely carved jade amulet embedded in the chair that is surely worth a good amount. After everyone is healed the party heads back to searching the cabinets they were previously investigating without further interruption. After several minutes of searching Lukaas finds something that could be what you are looking for.
He pulls out a Prisoner Receipt for Zarta Dralneen, but it apparently is written in a cipher text and does not make any sense.
The receipt in hand the party has half of what they need but are still missing the actual evidence. About three minutes later Zhoron finds what you need while digging through the evidence locker. Quickly skimming the evidence he sees that Tancred used this to indict Zarta. It consists of a series of letters written in a halting hand that resembles the paracountess’s. Upon closer examination, however, the letters’ writing differs significantly from the note found in Zarta’s study. The forged letters are addressed to a prominent House Thrune enemy, and in them “Zarta” discusses selling privileged Chelish information supposedly meant to foment political insurrection. Zarta’s personal travel logs, written in her natural hand, are also included. While the first entry—a trip to Absalom’s Ivy District—does indeed match with the letters’ indication of Zarta’s supposed treasonous activities, the second entry proves the paracountess was away from Absalom during a time the letters claim she met with her conspirators in the Petal District.
In total, the party has spent over ten minutes down in this room searching for the documents before finding what they were looking for. As you are reviewing the evidence you found Pollet scrambles out of the duct looking very worried.
"Guys! I heard from the VC and she told me that she can't contain the ambassador anymore and he's left the ballroom! We need to go!"

I think he means, how to get around the party, possibly we could use the waiter uniforms and some could make their way through possibly distracting the guests enough so the rest can get past unnoticed.
White Eagle though up and somewhat better, he still is in no condition for combat, he winces some at the pain as he climbs through the duct work.

I propose we try to go straight back to the garden, cross it quickly, and them come back by where we went the first time. I'll just require your help about finding a certain red cape on our way back..We can't miss it: a bright red cape with three asps.If we work as a team, we should spot it quickly.
A12/A9/A8/A5/A4/A2, the cape should be in A12.If we don't have time,Lukaas won't risk our common mission just for some personal gain.

If anyone sees any keys on the way, I would be grateful if you would point them out.
Besides that, didn't we get a bag of useful stuff from the venture captain? Perhaps now is the time to use those things.
Wait... there was a key in the for at the very beginning, wasn't there. Silly me. I blame this being my first pfs game for my stupid. :)

Cracking open the door to observe the foot traffic in the hallway reveals that it still has several servants coming and going in both directions. Eldaak reminds the group that previously he saw a coat rack full of fancy clothing, cloaks and furs linining the wall on the southern wall of the corridor on the north (opposite side of wall in the current hallway). Servants appear to be coming from the northern door with the coats and leaving back through the doors without them or heading off to the eastern double doors.

Lukaas walks confidently in the corridor were the clothing and cloaks are stacked, and tries to find the red cape with three asps of Muno Dans, fearful not to waste time

"Since we are here, we might want to consider wearing some of these clothes as disguises. I still have the cloak we found I can use, but we are short on time and need to keep moving."
