The inquistor and fighter both miss the tiny devils but the eagle is able to rake one of them with its claws. The devil hisses lightly at the touch from the eagle and glares at Lukaas with hatred. "How dare you bring this creature here! It also does not belong here! Away!"
White Eagle and Eldaak due up.

This time, Eldak takes a swing with his staff again while muttering under his breath. "Please let me actually hit them this time"
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
But apparently any kind of physical action is unable to be completed by the elf.
Seriously...every single attack has been below a 10...maybe below a 5 on the roll if I check them. Crazy.

GM ShadowLord |

The devil flying over Gaeldrung looks like it was about to drop out of the air from that last hit by the eagle. It looks down as its wounds continue to close and it seems to regain a little bit of its composure. It zips down at Gaeldrung and once again stings him. 2 Damage + DC13 Fort Check.
Meanwhile the pestering devil who has been able to avoid much of the damage continues poke Eldak relentlessly, hoping the wizard will collapse from the poison eventually. 1 Damage + DC13 Fort Check.
Eldak - With the Dex damage you've sustained I'm pretty sure you should be taking a hit to your attack roll. I would assume it is negative by now.
Pollet takes a swing at the devil over Eldak with her rapier, but is unable to get anywhere even close to it.

Gaeldrung doesn't even feel the poison. His ax comes up and waits for it. Finally, the little pest makes a mistake: he repeats his last trajectory.
With a triumphant roar Gaeldrung brings his ax down.

GM ShadowLord |

Triumphant indeed!
The little devil that had been stinging him and his allies and been such a pest simply ceased to be when the axe finishes its swing. The only signs of the creature is the smear of its blood in Gaeldrung's blade and various tiny organs and entrails on the ground below him.
1 down!

Zhoron hopes Gaeldrung's powerful blow will inspire him to strike true. If Gaeldrung's target dropped from that hit, Zhoron will 5' step to the remaining devil and swing.

White Eagle, Eldak and Lukaas all attack the devil and all miss. The remaining devil swoops down and stings Eldak in the chest for what is likely to be the seventh or eighth time today. Eldak takes 4 damage + fort check.
Pollet watches her companions all fail to make contact and grimaces as the tiny thing stings Eldak. Again. She grunts, "C'mon, can't you get out of the way of that thing already?!"
Turning to Lukaas her frustration boiling up she says, "I don't know how much longer before I blast this freaking thing! Our friend over there is a damnned pin cusion! We - can't - even - SWAT. A."
Pollet twirls and slams her rapier into the winged creature as she exclaims, "FLY! HA! C'mon boys, keep up!"
Even though Pollet makes contact, the skin of the creature deflects much of the blow.

The entire party misses, again, and the devil begins to laugh in a high pitched chitter. "You are all PATHETIC! You should have left pointy ears! Tell me, how are you feeling? Getting a little? S-s-l-l-o-o-oooooooow?
Tiny laughter continues.
The eagle swoops in and scratches and bites the devil who stops laughing immediately. The devil eyes the eagle in frustration and shakes his fist at it.

The tiny devil got a little cocky. Instead of trying to break free it decided to attack Pollet. It sinks its stinger into her hand and she screams as her left hand begins to tremor and shake in pain. Despite the pain, she continues to hold onto the flying creature.
Better yet, she manages to take the creature and slam it to the ground, spreading its wings apart and pinning it to the ground.
With Lukaas's help and Pollet pinning the creature, Gaeldrung looks like an executioner as the axe buries itself into the devil which screams in pain. Gaeldrung's attack nearly zaps all of the life from the tiny creature, but it is not enough to kill it. They party watches as its wounds begin to sow themselves shut again.

Almost rivaling a barbarian, with an outburst of rage and determination at ending this battle, Zhoron brings his sword down on the devil with all the power he can muster.

GM ShadowLord |

Zhoron's silver sword delivers the final stroke to the devil, splitting it open and sending it from this world.
The battle has been won! (Too bad Eldak was not awake to see it through.)
With the devils gone, the glaring opening to the secret room becomes obvious once more. In contrast to the large and lavish rooms that make up the rest of this side of the embassy, this secret study is cramped, utilitarian, and sparse. Almost all of the room is taken up by a long desk topped by a series of cubbies full of papers and curios. The desk itself is clear except for a piece of paper and a small, framed portrait of Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin with a lipstick kiss-mark on it. The walls of the room are irregular and look as if the room was shoehorned into wasted space between other rooms. Like the rest of the personal chambers, this room is windowless, and is pierced only by the secret door and an air vent in the southern corner.

Gaeldrung walks into the secret room and begins to look around. He flips over the portrait of VC Valsin and discovers that there is a peculiar note written on that back.
I know it's been awhile, but FWIW VC Valsin is the guy who gave you your initial briefing for the mission. That's neither here nor there, just a refresher:)
