Kagyu's hand tingled with the beginning of a luck spell as he managed to break free of the web.

He rounded the corner of the building just in time to see the Spider-Man dodge Gortrek's blade.

As he approached ready to bless one of his allies, Kagyu scanned over Durian and Gortrek. As a result of this deep seated battle-medic habit, the luck spell fizzled on his fingertips replaced by divine healing force which he pushed into Gortrek's after a hastily shouted warning, "...healing!"

Durian, I do not believe you were holding the spear as you refereed to your unarmed strikes as punches. If you were holding it you would get the attack. If you want to say you were holding it but doing a punch kick combo I will allow it this time. In the future you will need to be specific.

Sorry GM, I haven't been specifying that enough. I did for the first few posts, then got lazy. I will be more careful to mention the spear when using the flurry attacks.
Because the brawler gets to make a flurry using the same hand multiple times, he generally just holds his spear in his right hand while punching twice with his left, then puts both hands on his spear again.
Or just uses his feet, but that mental image looks silly to me...
In any case, I'm happy to just carry on this time, several people have already moved.
Durian should now have his spear at the ready if this thing tries to move away again.

The combined attacks of Durian and Tahata end the creatures life just after it throws the doors open.

A quick search of the room truns up nothing of value. What little is there has been there so long it is aged beyond repair. One of you investigates the door (T2) to the tower and again finds nothing of value. A simple, and very old, ladder leads to a hatch in the top. Anchient blood stains are barley visable along with quivers of spilt arrow and a longbow that is long since rotted and broken.

Perception DC15:

The is clearly the site of a battle that did not go well for the occupants of the keep. A guess would put the items you find as being from a time corresponding to the letter you found in the swamp.

The doors the creature threw open on the north end open to another alcove in the main courtyard. There is a door to another tower and one leading into a a bigger structure to the NE. The courtyard remains silent and you are far enough you can no longer hear the sounds you could hear in the initial (T1) room. You can also see a set of double doors into the bigger structure across from the initial room you were in.

Hearing Gortrek's cry, Tahata shouts out to Maitoh. "Maitoh, cinah!" The wolf moves around behind the lizard and Tahata follows, but not before he feels a touch along his arm. He feels more positive, more optimistic about things as he raises his spear and drives it down at the lizard.

The group surges to retaliates and Maitoh manages to bring the lizard down. Losjien is sure he would have connected if the creature were not in melee.

As the creature falls the group feels more confident and somewhat tougher.

You will get your new HP and skills but spells will not come until you rest.

Tahata allows Maitoh a few seconds to eat some of the lizard's flesh before stepping over and stroking the wolf's head. Had anyone else attempted to disturb him while eating, they would have received an angry growl and maybe lost a finger, but Maitoh knows that Tahata is merely rewarding him for a job well done and not trying to steal his kill.

A search of the room will also determine nothing of interest or value. The books are damaged beyond usefulness and even if whole were not of any note.

I think between the maps you can see your options of where to check head too once leveling is completed.

After the group takes a moment to catch their breath, Durian is anxious to continue.

We have moved through this fort quickly so far, let's keep moving before an alarm gets raised. Eventually they will realize that we killed their sentries

Durian puts his ear to the door leading further in to the fort

Durian upends the door and quickly steps though along with Gortrek at his side.

T7. Briefing Room (Pg 27)
A large table lies in shambles in the middle of this room, while crumbled suits of armor bearing decorations of dragons twisting around castle towers lie in heaps along the walls. A flight of stairs winds up along a curved wall to the north. The air in this room feels stuffy and carries an eye-watering reptilian stink.

Three reptilian heads pivot in your direction and hiss. These are not like the large lizard of the last room indeed they are much different. Standing on two legs and each quickly grabbing wooden clubs with skulls attached to the end.

The stink in this room is even worse than the previous ones and it slaps Tahata across the face like a physical force. Upright lizardmen turn towards the group bearing clubs, but Tahata doesn't recognise them.
