In a RL game this was quick and simple but its a mud pit in PbP. As I said this is my first PbP GM AP so some things are learning experiences for me.

I felt it important to meet the priest before embarking on our first excursion into the cave but could have done it smoother. I will look out for things that derail the story like this in the future.

Everyone made it into the room thanks to water breathing or just being able to swim.

Crystal would happily take the light spell onto her earthbreaker and turn it into a strobe light like display :P

if she wanted to waste a second move rolling acrobatics, that is xD

Problem is that I have to touch the object to cast light on it.
Maybe after combat I can change it.

Could those of you without a stat block in your character signature set one up kind of like mine is set please? Alternate setups like Crystals or James are fine.

It will make things much easier if I can see some basic stats at a glance and it will probably make you need to look up less as well.

GM, two questions!

1) I assume crystal is still sickened?
2) She was fatigued for 4 rounds- would this be well past that mark? I assume so, based on all the checks, but I also want to be sure.

Well past the mark for both. I thought I had listed the sickened effects as 1 minute so you are well past that which makes you past both.

GM do you allow Xandar to use spellblights as detailed in UM to clear the Blinded effect?

I will admit to not knowing a lot about Spellblights and I will research when I get home tonight (late City Council meeting) but I can say that the blinding was a non-magical effect which my intuition says rules out Spellblites.

If Crystal has not turned up by this evening I will bot her attack and hopefully move along.

Does crystal's dark vision allow her to see a bit farther into the cavern, or is there an angle etc. keeping her from doing so?

I can also roll a perception check if you're simply prompting for that as well!

I kind of glossed over the Silverdisks when you found them so here is some more info.

Numeria uses "Silverdisks" as currency one "Silverdisk"being worth 10gp. These are expended batteries that can't be further recharged.

Mechanically the party would know this already from being in town at any point so you can just think of them as platinum pieces I guess. From what I can tell they look the same as a functional battery so for game mechanics we will just say that a good battery has an indicator light on it.

Am I able to see fully again? You said I'd only regain a bit of sight so I wasn't sure if it meant I could see normally already.

My plan is to have your vision clear immediately after the party responds the first time.

I normally keep notes for games, but I already keep notes for the 3 games I GM (1 part time on here, another full time, and then a few other IRL games)

Plus I take notes all day for my job

Every post to the game thread gets server issues so just checking.

Can we take peeks at the Technology guide for ideas on spells, feats and weapons? I just pulled it off the shelf, and wanted to double check before I started to dig in.

I've already looked through to understand how I used the Techonoly feat

Of course it is fine to go though it. The more that know how it works the better in case i screw up and we are all use to separating player form character knowledge.

Holy crap; they beat a Perception 25? Also, goblins or gremlins? Are skulks just bad at identifying creatures?

Keeping the action moving is the constant struggle for PbP games; the flow is just not the same as tabletop play. It helps to remember that it never hurts to post more. This goes for both GM and players.

If, as a player, you are waiting for more information before you act, make a post that says so! This can be done in-character and clarified ooc (Example: Fizban surveys the room, studying the layout and hoping to find an opening. I don't see anything good for him to do now, so I'm waiting to see what everyone else does.)

Likewise, as a GM, if you see the action has gone stagnant, a summary post showing what's happened that round and who's left can really help.

Also, most PbP games don't hold strictly to initiative order. If a PC lower in initiative, but in the same block, posts first, generally that action happens first. It helps keep things moving.

Not at all. I said in recruitment that this was my transition to PbP GMing from irl. Of course that make you guys my test cases.

I have already made many changes to how I will start the AP the next time I GM it on here. For instance less Q&A with an NPC and more of a knowledge dump leaving time for RP with each other but not forcing you to question an NPC.

Agreed. I have been trying to put Crystal and Ivar in front for the most part when i set a map but please someone tell me a normal grouping for traveling and breaching a door if that is any different.

I would be in the middle

I think fighter in the front and in the rear,

Spellcasters in the center and the skill monkey in the front, but easily able to retreat form the opening

I'm currently running a PFS Witch through Hall of the Flesh Eaters.

Crystal will always ensure she is at the front, even if that means walking instep just next to someone else.

If going in a tunnel, she'd roll initiative to playfully race anyone else who would want to be first in a single line environment.

I'll be in the middle or the back. Though with Mage Armor and Iron Skin I have an AC of 18. Not bad for a Wizard.

Torch has an excellent exchange policy on more mundane magic items. The priest who cast waterbreating on you will simply make you an even trade for appropriate sized item in his shop.

Clearly more unusual items cannot be exchanged in this way.
